LayCool Thoughts

Pre-Show Stalwart
I was recently at a SmackDown show a couple weeks ago or so and when LayCool came out to cut a promo, they got a shit load of heat! I just saw the segment last week where Mickie through the pie in Vickie's face a couple minutes ago and it got me thinking... this is an awesome duo!

Here's one thing I gotta say to all the people who say they HATE their feud with Mickie: lighten up. A lot of people are shitting on them because their making fun of Mickie's weight. Wait a minute! Aren't you supposed to be hating them? And also, they're being booked to do these things to Mickie. And if Mickie didn't like the fat jokes, then why is she not somewhere else like in TNA? And guess what, she's the Women's Champion! You can't say the feud was a slap to the face of Mickie because well... she's the freaking champion!

So what do you guys think of the duo of Michelle McCool and Layla?

I think they draw a lot of heat and they are both SEXY DIVAS. It is actually probably the most interesting diva feud in recent memory. Mickie James knows how to sell her crying great

Yeah, "Flawless" as they seem to be calling themselves, they are doing their job very well. I simply hate them. Their interruption of Maria and Matt was very catty and high school-like. Cooties? What the hell? As I said, high school-like, think of them as the girls who went around just picking on whoever they wanted, just because they think they are hot shit. It strikes a good chord with me, as I hated the same people who think their shit don't stink.

As far as the feud goes, it has actually become intriguing to me. At first I was disgusted by the Piggie James skit they had going. But then after a while, I realized, it is getting a good reaction, McCool is getting more heat, and Mickie gained her "revenge" in her squash match at the Rumble. It is still on-going. It is working. A diva's feud is actually making a few people care. Something that hasn't happened in a the past couple years. I'd also like to add it has gotten a little more interesting with Vickie starting to mess with Mickie, most likely in favor of Michelle.

So I'll reiterate. They are acting like the high school girls who thought they were all that, and just bagging on whoever they want. From my perspective, it is a good job, as I loathe both McCool and Layla. They seem to be getting solid heat when they come out, and I actually want Mickie to kick the ever living crap out of them. I'd say they are doing a damn good job. But you know, that is just my view.

I love it. They've helped make the divas division interesting again, along with their feud with Mickie. Before this angle happened, I couldn't give a shit about the divas division. Now, I actually look forward to it. Amazing what a little bit of mic time and some proper characters can do.

The squash match at the Rumble to me was extremely satisfying, a classic case of "Good Triumphs Over Evil". And I like that they're continuing it.

LayCool are acting stuck up and bitchy, and I love it. They're actually getting reactions, which is a rarity in the divas division. The SD division is totally killing the RAW division, because the SD divas actually get stories and characters, and that is what makes people care.

As much as a hate both as them layla and mcCool,They do a fucking awesome duo. They get tons of heat and they cut some heelish promos,That make you say wow layla and McCool are bitches. But hey as of right now they are the best 2 divas as a heel in the business.

I really didn't care for the feud between McCool and Mickie James. One of the main reasons why that feud worked was because they were picking on a "fat" Mickie James. It was like something right of high school. You had these two mean girls, picking on another girl just because she was fat and ugly. Storyline wise it probably clicked with the crowds because it made a lot of people feel sorry for Mickie, and they wanted to see her get revenge on McCool and Layla which she eventually did. Personally I don't think Mickie is fat at all, but I guess by WWE diva standards she is.

Anyway, my point of binging this up is, how many other divas do you think this would work on? Besides Mickie, there really isn't another diva that has some extra meat on her. This wouldn't work against Beth Phoenix because she's too much of a dominating force, and it's already been shown on Smackdown that McCool and Layla are afraid of her.

I guess you can say McCool and Layla are good together. They do play the mean girls persona pretty good, and usually get heat from live crowd. What McCool and Layla are doing isn't something new, but they are doing a pretty good job at it. When they interrupted Maria and Matt, it was rude and childish. It made you feel sorry for Maria, and hate them that much more.

Laycool/Flawless does draw a lot of heat. Great heat, and its getting better. I thought the Maria/Hardy and Laycool segment was good. You guys are right, they are a page out of the book of high school snobs.

This almost seems familiar in a way. Laycool reminds me a lot of The Beautiful People when they first started. Since Smackdown is a PG show, they have to water down everything. "Cooties" was weak but effective enough to portray the snobbery. But TBP had something that Laycool really really need in order to go that extra mile and draw some insane heat: A mark! With TBP, they brown-bagged other women and humiliated them. Laycool needs something to leave their mark, or otherwise they will become stagnant and repetitive. All talk, no action.

It will make the difference between a Diva just being able to ignore the snobs and walk past them OR a Diva wanting to thrash the snobs anytime they see them. Laycool needs to be thrashworthy.

If they're making people actually care about a divas feud, then something is going right. I actually loath McCool. Always did, but more so now. Layla is getting a good rub and I've always saw something in here so it's cool to see her being used. I had felt bad for Mickie, being stuck in this program, but I see now that it's beneficial for here and is keeping her relevant. It gets more of a reaction then any of the diva storylines going on at Raw.

I'm gonna disagree, I think they're annoying as hell.

They can't act for shit, which is the main problem. On Smackdown when they interrupted Matt and Maria, they sounded so scripted, even more so than usual. Especially Layla, McCool's not as bad. And yes, they sounded like little school girls during that segment.

I wish it would end. I don't care how much heat they get, learn to act!!!

I hate them. McCool is so fucking annoying. If I hit women, I would hit her. She thinks she's so hot, but I think she's kind of ugly, because she weighs about as much as I did when i was 10. Layla I don't mind as much, but her voice is still bad. I laughed my ass of when they had their Royal rumble match.

My first thoughts about Team "Flawless" is about the oh so nasty things I would do to them.

My other thoughts are that they are total bitches and that's exactly what the WWE Women's Division needs right now. Through this feud with Mickie James, they have developed characters for not only themselves, but for Mickie James. "Flawless" have personified themselves as the typical high school bitches who think they are all that while knowing that they really aren't and seek to humiliate others to make themselves feel better about themselves. Mickie James has developed a character that stands up for what is right and defends the people. When people see her getting humiliated week after week because she is "fat" they start to relate to her because not everyone is perfect. They learn that they are okay with who they are because not everyone is gonna flawless (pun intended). All in all they have really make SmackDown a little more interesting every week and have made people take notice of Diva's if only every Friday night.

Well it working and they are good at being that childish and annoying. They might not be the best actresses, but they are good at their parts, specially McCool, man she is annoying as Hell, and that is complement.

At least we have something going on Smackdown since it seems that Raw's women division goes from zero to nothing every week, Damn even the tournament got shafted at the EC, that was lame.

Dude, I love those two. I think of them as WWE's version of The Beautiful People. They play the "bitchy" role damn well. It makes the WWE women's division somewhat relevant again, to have actual...ACTUAL..fueds to the point that WWE has to use a video package for the PPV match. They are so entertaining, with their childish antics. For example on this past Friday's SD, Matt pushes past them to go after Maria. Then McCool goes "He just wanted to touch us." LOL she tripped me out how she said it.

Not half bad. I can’t say I’m entertained by them, but I am not unentertained….if that makes any sense. If they are working on a “Simply Flawless” gimmick it’s going to have to go a little bit further before I crown them as “good” or “fun to watch”. Silly food fights, and calling people fat isn’t going to cut it for much longer. They need to be even sexier, and even more annoying. The duo itself is ok, but now it’s time for them to add another dimension. Whether it be adjusting their characters or otherwise.

Let’s have another diva turn heel and join them. Two is a tag team, and 3 is a stable. Let’s put this group over, and give them a decent run as top heels by adding that third person who can help them outnumber the other divas. Can former ECW GM Tiffany wrestle? She’s going to be in Playboy, so the stage is already set.

I would say this is the WWE’s answer to The Beautiful People over in TNA. Did anyone see their ring attire and entrance last night at the Elimination Chamber PPV? Eerily similar.

haha Laycool are funny as hell..Smackdowns version of the Beautiful People oviously a spoof lol
still they are pretty good and can wrestle, I think its a diffrent side seeing how Michelle was becoming a Randy Orton wannabe..rather see LayCool than Michelle McOrton...allthough her matches with Melina were awesome

I'm gonna disagree, I think they're annoying as hell.

I agree. You can only take so much of this. Its good for a little bit. But after a while, you just get sick of it. You start to wonder where the act ends. I know its acting, but even so, I'd be tired of being so bad for so long. Plus she never has to defend her title, which makes you wonder if dating Undertaker has certain priveleges for Ms. McCool? :suspic:

I mean you get the cattiness on Monday nights from a blond tanorexic named Maryse, then you get it from a blond tanorexic named Michelle on Fridays, with her two friends who look like they could be on the receiving end of those Piggy James jokes as well. Now they want to call out the newest dominant and REAL looking woman, Beth Phoenix. PLEASE...someone just SHUT THIS damn LAY-Cool/Flawed group or whatever the hell they call themselves up. :banghead:

Just watched WWE Superstars and the segment with Simply Flawless was awesome. I'm really digging Michelle McCool as Womens Champion.

Layla as her sidekick/tag partner is great and Vickie Guerrero as their Manager adds instant credibility. I thought it was hilarious that they officially denied Beth Phoenix a Title match because "she's a man" She's the "Glamaman" If she was from Canada she'd be from "MANitoba". She was seen on a date with Santina, Santino's sister. Great stuff.

The fact that Vickie Guerrero sanctioned an "official Inter-gender" match between Layla and Beth was the icing on the cake for me.

I can't wait to see where this angle goes.

While Flawless isn't exactly bad, I dislike how little impact the Divas have on the WWE overall these days. It's outright boring. Specially when McCool's talents are being wasted on dragging Layla around, and instead of having matches, they keep on going around doing what can only be described as immature behavior as scripted by the very lacking creative team responsible for the current writing. IF the WWE gives the Divas so much deserved credit and actually makes full use of the in the future in a legitimate storyline rather than just eye candy, I could see McCool turning face, seeing the error of her ways, telling Vickie Guerrero off, and suffering the consequences with Layla or even Beth Phoenix being the instrument of her demise as Women's Champion leading to a perhaps long rivalry between Vickie Guerrero and her champion, or herself as thee Women's Champion through the abuse of her power as assistant GM foiling McCool's attempts at regaining the championship and respect of the other Divas until she finally regains the Women's Championship at SummerSlam. Best case scenario in my opinion would be pushing it even further into Hell in a Cell with the first ever Divas Hell in a Cell, and best of all it being a handicap Vickie Guerrero and Beth Phoenix against Michelle to really give McCool a chance to shine again. It could be taken even further with the addition of Layla on Vickie's side and Mickie James or Tiffany to McCool's side, but with the impending draft et al, I doubt this would ever happen. Bottom line: I like Michelle McCool as she is a great athlete. And I respect every Diva with the exception of Eve, really. But what can anyone do for the Divas? The WWE has really just relegated them to be distractions for fathers who would be otherwise bored after bringing their children to events to watch Rey or Cena beat their nemesis, whoever they might be at the time. Talk about wasted talent...

Hey I say at least the divas on smackdown are getting air time and are getting over and Beth's feud with michelle is getting good. I fear the draft may break them up but I hope not they are a good heel stable because they are Simply...FLAWLESS

i like laycool....both of em hot...super hot....work well together...oh except the fact that they dont have anyone to work with after beth which means they should get drafted to raw...but we all know that aint gonna happen with undertaker on smackdown

I gotta say--I am a Mickie Fan--Cause at first i absolutely despised the feud as i thought 'Oh well..heres another Diva feud thats gonna start and then end in a freakin weeks time'--Come the following week it didnt..and then a few weeks afterwards i began to fall in luv with The Beaut-oops--'Simply Flawless'!!The duo of Layla & Michelle McCool(and yerr..i guess i'll add Vickie)are absolutely hilarious xD--During their feud with Mickie i began to like them and thought to myself--Hang on heres a decent Diva feud that we havnt seen in what..maybe 4/5 years??!!Of course i loved their feud with Mickie and right now with Beth Phoenix!!!
But with WWE and their new tag teams..sometimes they dont even let them run for at least a good year..i hope they dont seperate Lay-Cool cause in my oppinion--I think theyre the reason why this Divas Division is still running--along with Beth & Mickie of course ;)

OH..BTW Mickie James knows how to sell her crying perfectly xD
It made it look so damn real..as that storyline was somewhat like reality and very personal......
