Michelle McCool Is Champion Again....What's Next For Mickie James?

Tonight on Smackdown, Michelle McCool became the WWE Women's Champion again, after Vickie Guerrero who was the special guest referee, screwed Mickie out of the title. McCool is champion again which means she will most likely have another lengthy title reign.

One question on my mind is, why have a long drawn out feud, where Mickie is constantly humiliated, gets her revenge, and then loses the title back to her tormentor so quickly? Back at the Royal Rumble, McCool lost the title to Mickie in a about 20 or 30 seconds? What was the sense in all this? My only guess was this whole angle was meant to make McCool look like the dominant female on Smackdown. Another guess I have is, since there really aren't any other divas on Smackdown who can have an interesting feud for the title, WWE decided to milk James VS McCool for all they could.

Do you like Michelle MCcool as WWE Women's Champion? Will she have another lengthy reign?

Who else should challenge McCool for the title?

What's next for Mickie James? Will she become involved in the title picture again or fade into obscurity?

I'm okay with McCool being champion. I don't think she's as great as WWE makes her out to be, but when you look at the Smackdown roster, outside of McCool,James,and Beth Phoenix, there really aren't that many other good choices to be champion.

I don't want to see MCcool VS James again. That feud has been done to death. I would like her next challenger to be Beth Phoenix. WWE keeps flirting with a face turn, so It's possible this could happen.

I can honestly say I really don't know what's next for Mickie. She's already feuded with Beth before, and the feud with McCool was done to death. Maybe she'll just become another pretty face on Smackdown, with nothing MAJOR to do. I doubt she'll become women's champion again any time soon.

I also think Mickie won't be retrieving that champion any time soon since she held it for 5 times. Their was some rumor speculating that a new diva is signed for the WWE to make an appearance, but we all know rumors can't always be relied on.

Mickie possibly lost her belt due to upcoming concerts and figured she can't balance her WWE schedule with her concerts. I mean being a champ has a lot of responsibilities with the ppv defending blah.. blah...

Otherwise, after lately SD! has no face divas due to Maria's release which led me into thinking that Tiffiany might be in the picture, but Tiffany doesn't seem like a champ for me. Besides, the draft isn't far away so the divas might juggle around. Although, I prefer the WWE should start hiring rookie divas that is talented.

I think a rematch at Wrestlemania is what will happen. She spent ages trying to get the title, then got screwed out of it. It just further strengthens the fued and gives them a reason to be on smackdown. She will get the title back. Lets just hope there is no stupid gimmick match. they on't work well with female wrestlers. (or not in the WWE anyway.)

I'm glad that Michelle is the Womens Champion again. I was upset that her reign ended and hope this one can be just as good. Something tells me that the Mickie/Michelle feud isn't over yet. It had Wrestlemania written all over it, as it was by far the biggest divas feud since Mickie/Trish. I think that Michelle will emerge victorious after a Wrestlemania match between her and Mickie, which will get the time that it deserves unlike their match at the Rumble. This would establish Michelle as the dominant top heel diva. I'd like to see Beth challenge her too, a feud between the two of them is one I've been anticipating for a long time now! Maybe have Natalya challenge her as well. As for Mickie? Who knows. I'm hoping this was her last title reign because no one currently on the roster deserves to touch Trish's record, let alone ever break it. After Wrestlemania Mickie will hopefully not be in the title picture because she's gotten stale and has no options for feuds other than Michelle which is likely ending soon. Beth or Natalya can challenge Michelle for the title in the future, and after the draft the divas roster(s) will likely change a bit.

This pisses me off, because this shows another WWE title is losing prestige... I mean seriously, Mickie won it in 12 seconds then they keep her reign short and give it to McCool on television... They might as well have done it at Elimination Chamber... but w/e...

Sorry for ranting.. as for Mickie, I agree with the above poster, it'll be a rematch at Wrestlemania, unless they have that Miss Wrestlemania battle royal again, then I don't know either. Perhaps a feud with Beth??? That'd be good, but then who would McCool feud with?

Like you said there's really nobody else that can hold the title besides those 3, so it looks like it'll be Mickie vs McCool for the time being...

However, the only other diva that deserves it is Natalya, but she's a heel. And she's busy with Matt and Khali(ugh..). I would love to see a Mickie vs Natalya feud.

As for McCool as champion, I like her, but they should keep the reigns a bit longer is all i'm saying...

Would love to see Mickie vs McFool at Wrestlemania, and would love to see Mickie get the title for a 6th time(and one times divas), and one step closer to BREAKING trish's 7 time title reign, and it will happen Michelle is a good heel diva but she held the title for plenty long her last title reign, and isnt a good defender of the title in my book. Mickie and Beth are the two powerhouse divas on SD and the fans let you know by the reaction they give em. I dont know if Mickie will get the title again soon, but if not, I hope Beth gets involved and decimates Michelle like no other and wins the womens champ.

Righ now I am extremely pissed that Michelle is holding the title AGAIN... Not only is she boring, but everytime she holds the title, there are barely any matches with her actually doing something. She is a decent wrestler and I would zlike to see er more in the ring then outside...
I am also pissed about the fact that they gave mickie a short reign. What was the point of that. I really dont get what the writers are thinking.

Now I am not sure if mikie lost the title to take a break and promote her music. It could also be that they want to make a wrestlemania match between the 2. But they could have done that with mickie holding the title anyway. We still have not seen the extremity these 2 can go in a match so it can be great.

If mickie has a wrestlemania match, I think she should win the title yet again. Mccool is just plain boring with the title and I dont want to see her with tht title for a while. Storyline wise we still have to see mickie vs natalya and serena and so it will be possible wih her as champ. Not to mention she desreves a etter title run and a history to make. I dont think she will pass Trish's record. but I think she will tie as 7 time womans champ and then be an 8 times title holder.. which is still a record.. all of her own.
Let's just see what happens... I think it might be more of a mickie taking a break from wwe.... but time will tell... I only hope that she wont take a break and become a 6th time womans champ and 7 time title holder

Why not have her kind of be in Tracey Brook's position? I think we can have like, a director of the womens division. Like Tracey did in TNA. Mickie can do the job well, and we may even be able to see something spicey happen. Or, she can go to Raw and chase Maryse. eitheir one....

I Agree With Everything You Just Said Michelle Is Just Plain Boring As Champion, Ever Since She Had That Knee Injury Shes Been Rarely Seen Wrestling And Shes Looking More Horrible At It, A For Mickies Rematch It Will Most Likely Happen At Wrestlemania I Think It Would Be A Thriple Threat Match Mickie James Vs Michelle McCool Vs Beth Phoenix And Probably A Lumberjill Match Since All The Divas Want In At Wrestlemania.

I don't really care enough about who is wearing the championship to be happy or angry about Michelle having it. However, I would love to see LayCool get into a fight and break up, starting up a Layla vs Michelle feud. Layla WON Tough Enough so it's not like she's a complete scrub in the ring, and the more screen time Layla gets the happier I get. She is hands down the sexiest diva right now imo (Maryse is the only person even CLOSE) and like I said, she needs moar screen time. Put her in a bra & panties match with Michelle.

Or, I guess we could maintain some integrity and watch the same old boring Michelle/Mickie BS over the next year. I would rather see something different for the sake of seeing something different, though. Know what I'm sayin'?

Layla won DIVA SEARCH dude..but Michelle makes a good champion. Beth makes GREAT champion even if im not Beth's biggest fan. I like Michelle for some reason

HHHKing13 for one thing Mickie James will NEVER fade into obscurity she is just to popular. I can see Michelle McCool have another long title reign since she has Vickie on her side but I really don't want her to have another long title reign. I respect Michelle McCool but she just gets on my nerves.

Mickie would have kept the title longer if she wouldn't have hurt her leg. The WWE took the title off of her due to the leg injury she now has not due to concerts. If it wasen't for that injury and Mickie needing surgery she would probley be the champ right now.

Beth deserves a title shot I mean when is the last time she had one. She is very deserving of the title and her fued with Michelle, Layla and Vickie is great. So I hope she beats McCool for the title.

As for Mickie James' future she is limited to in-ring action right now due to her staph infection in her leg. As soon as her leg is better and the docters give her the okay to compete I think that she will win the title back from McCool or whoever is holding the title at that point in time.

Someone also mentioned Laycool fighting each other I think that would be a great idea it would be something different, but I would rather have Mickie as the champion instead of McCool or Layla.

I'm not so sure about Mickie not fading into obscurity Nicole13Edge/HardyFan. She already had a very long, and personal feud with McCool, so I doubt WWE would want to do Mickie VS McCool again. Also, she has feuded with Beth a ton of times before, and now Beth seems to be a face, so I highly doubt WWE would have these two go against each other again.

Yes. Mickie is popular, but I really don't see how she can fit into the Women's title picture now. There's a chance she could get back into the Women's title picture, but I just don't see it happening any time soon.
