90 Day no compete clause doesn't apply to Angle because he didn't get any money guaranteed by his contract when he got released. That in itself shows that this whole thing has been premeditated and that Angle knew what he was doing all along and was making fool out of everyone. I remember the post on his web site from when he got released talking about how he needed time to heal, how his family was falling apart, how he couldn't wrestle anymore, blah, blah. All he did there was try to play of his fans' simphaties while lying in their faces because he knew that he was going to TNA.
Now, you can look at this from 3 different perspectives. One is from the view of hardcore TNA fans how this is a great move for Angle and how everyone will be happy now that he's in TNA. That is idiotic because we all know that won't be the case. He still has obvious health issues, and right now he is a danger to anyone he steps in the ring with. If Kurt woulda taken 7-8 months off to get off drugs, rehab and rest his body from all the injuries then maybe this would be a different discussion. And even then he would be stabbing a pretty big knife in WWE's back but it would be a little bit more understandable. What he did now was not only a lowblow, but also insane.
The second view is from WWE's side, and it is somewhat true. Angle did betray them. Sure, he wasn't maineventing all the time in the company and working in ECW was an extra strain on him, but Vince bent over for Kurt. He made him a star in WWE, and gave him an opportunity that he wouldn't have gotten anywhere else. And in return Angle lied to him and deceived him. I wouldn't be surprised if he would never let Kurt back in WWE again after that.
And the third and more realistic way to look at it is simply where things are right now. Kurt Angle will work with TNA and there is nothing anyone can do about it. Of course there will be pros and cons to that. The biggest advantages will be that instead of wrestling 15-20 nights per month he will wrestle 2 nights per month (as IMPACT is taped 3 weeks in advance in 1 night). This will leave Kurt with an opportunity to rest maybe a little bit more and spend more time with his family. I doubt he will do that, though because he is the kind that just doesn't know about taking it easy. And that brings me to the biggest con of him in TNA. He is risking his life in there. Everytime he wrestles he is risking hurting himself and whoever he is wrestling with. Right now Kurt Angle is not fit to wrestle and for his own sake I hope that TNA gives him at least another month or 2 before making him wrestle. Otherwise we will witness another wrestling death that will be talked about for a long time.
