Kurt Angle screws Vince

How can you sell out to the guy with LESS money? TNA is the upstart here, not the other way around

You obviously know nothing about TNA. The company that owns TNA is loaded, they are just being smart with it because wrestling is not there major source of income like the McMahons.

This is a great move for Angle. He will have to wrestle once, maybe twice a month in TNA as opposed to 16 or so times a month in WWE/ECW. How is that bad for his health. And if I'm not mistaken he lives in FLA.

Also TNA is doing the same thing WWE did when it started. They have to get names in, start in smaller buildings and build their way up. WWE just didn't open up selling out 20,000+ seat arenas.

kurt angle is the T.O. of the wrestling world

That might be the dumbest statement yet. Unlike TO, Kurt was well liked in the locker room. TO had 95% of his teammates that wanted to kick his ass.

90 Day no compete clause doesn't apply to Angle because he didn't get any money guaranteed by his contract when he got released. That in itself shows that this whole thing has been premeditated and that Angle knew what he was doing all along and was making fool out of everyone. I remember the post on his web site from when he got released talking about how he needed time to heal, how his family was falling apart, how he couldn't wrestle anymore, blah, blah. All he did there was try to play of his fans' simphaties while lying in their faces because he knew that he was going to TNA.

Now, you can look at this from 3 different perspectives. One is from the view of hardcore TNA fans how this is a great move for Angle and how everyone will be happy now that he's in TNA. That is idiotic because we all know that won't be the case. He still has obvious health issues, and right now he is a danger to anyone he steps in the ring with. If Kurt woulda taken 7-8 months off to get off drugs, rehab and rest his body from all the injuries then maybe this would be a different discussion. And even then he would be stabbing a pretty big knife in WWE's back but it would be a little bit more understandable. What he did now was not only a lowblow, but also insane.

The second view is from WWE's side, and it is somewhat true. Angle did betray them. Sure, he wasn't maineventing all the time in the company and working in ECW was an extra strain on him, but Vince bent over for Kurt. He made him a star in WWE, and gave him an opportunity that he wouldn't have gotten anywhere else. And in return Angle lied to him and deceived him. I wouldn't be surprised if he would never let Kurt back in WWE again after that.

And the third and more realistic way to look at it is simply where things are right now. Kurt Angle will work with TNA and there is nothing anyone can do about it. Of course there will be pros and cons to that. The biggest advantages will be that instead of wrestling 15-20 nights per month he will wrestle 2 nights per month (as IMPACT is taped 3 weeks in advance in 1 night). This will leave Kurt with an opportunity to rest maybe a little bit more and spend more time with his family. I doubt he will do that, though because he is the kind that just doesn't know about taking it easy. And that brings me to the biggest con of him in TNA. He is risking his life in there. Everytime he wrestles he is risking hurting himself and whoever he is wrestling with. Right now Kurt Angle is not fit to wrestle and for his own sake I hope that TNA gives him at least another month or 2 before making him wrestle. Otherwise we will witness another wrestling death that will be talked about for a long time.

Why does everyone think he'll hurt himself? TNA tapes three weeks worth of iMPACT! at a time, and they're all filmed in Orlando, FL. So Kurt will be wrestling (at most) one day per month, and not travelling.

dude, there's plenty more than one day per month. true they do tapings 2-3 weeks in advance and i'm not too sure but i bet that they do the tapings on different days. otherwise you would've seen those people still busted open from a previous match. also there's the ppv, so it's at the most 4 days a month.

Kurt Angle didn't really screw Mr McMahon, Vince was going to release/fire him anyway and Now, It just so happens Angle has gone to TNA. I think this is GREAT! This will definately bring competition to WWE. I hope Vince up's his game so we see better RAW and SmackDown show's like they did while competeing with WCW...

You guys ever think that the "personal issues" was just all talk? I don't doubt that his body is banged up, but it was banged up from the hectic wwe scheduale. The TNA scheduale is MUCH lighter. Kurt can handle it, and I think he will be happy with TNA. I wont call this a bad move at all. This is the best move in pro wrestling. Thanks Kurt.

For everyone complaining about Vince being screwed... lol. Do you guys know who vince is? Do you know some of the things Vince has done to his employees? What goes around, comes around.

Peace

Im a true WWE fan 4 Life, but this move is the best ive seen in a while. im glad Kurt Angle went to TNA for all the reason that it will force WWE to up there game.

Like Senshi said " The game just got a lot more real."

Boo Hoo Kurt Angle lied to the BIGGEST LIAR IN THE HISTORY OF LIARS. Vince McMahon is no Angel buddy. Kurt can't compete for a while anyway. The only reason Kurt couldn't handle wwe was because of the crazy scheduale... that's it. Kurt can handle TNA's scheduale. Great move by Kurt, great move by TNA... boo hoo to anyone who thinks it was stupid. For anyone to think that what Kurt did was stupid,..... is an idiot. Less hectic scheduale, close to where he lives now, he will be champ, proboby getting paid well, and plenty of time to rest. He will be happy there, and I don't blame him.

if tna goes about this the right way this could be the start of something big for them.

people say tna has washup wcw guys and now it seems they are saying somthing right to convince guys to jump from wwe. remember wcw started out just getting guys to jump from wwf (hogan, hall, nash bret hart) and they did pretty good for awhile, untill they drove themselves into the ground.

hopefully tna keeps going in the upward direction.

At most it would be 4 times a month. Lets use last night and today as an example. PPV, 1 match. Monday tapings (3 weeks worth), so he could wrestle in week 1 & 3 or in week 2. So he may have to wrestle 3x's in 2 days but then they are off for 3 weeks. Come back in on a Monday (3 weeks worth), again week 1 & 3 or week 2 and then 3 more weeks off. And it's possible that after PPV's he may not do a match until week 3 of the tapings, if that.

My guess is they'll use him for a match here and there during the tapings and he'll mainly be used in PPV's. But he will see a lot of tv time.

Angle wants to go to TNA thats fine but you know what I dont think he will do much for TNA or at least anymore then Sting has done(which isnt that much)

If it was me though I wouldn't have gone to TNA...seeing how I hate that joke of a company.

WWE>>>>>>>>>>>TNA

omg i am so shocked kurt angle screwed vince he says hes leavin so he can just rest hsi body...and then goes to tna...thats not gonna give him no rest tna will make his body worse

I couldnt beleive it either!
Although its pretty messed up, considering he has stated that he did not what to compete against Vince McMahon.
I just hope that TNA uses him well and dosent tarnish or bury the career of one the greatest superstars in history!

I had a feeling this was going to happen. The WWE product has taken such a huge dump in the past few years! I dont see Angle making a match debut until next month or even longer. I do see him doing some mic work until then.\

Who knows.. maybe his injuries were all a bullshit to get out of wwecw

Definitely...Kurt made the right move

hell no tna isnt even in wwe league tna is like shit compared to wwe

Dave Meltzer is reporting that Angle's TNA contract is not an exclusive deal, which will allow him to seek MMA matches, which seems to be the plan for Angle's camp.
