Very rarely is a match good when it's one style vs. another. If I was going to pick a style for a match, stick with the most basic and effective: power vs. speed. If I had to pick one style for the whole match though, high impact technical, such as Benoit vs. Angle.

What match have you viewed the most?

Probably anything from Summerslam 90 or Mania X7. I watched those tapes ad nauseum for years.

What are your thoughts on how Randy Orton has been booked since his tweener/face turn? The storylines he has been given, feuds, etc.

I'm still waiting on him to have a storyline. There's a difference between having a title match and building to one and a story. He's yet to have a story. As for the booking, I'm rarely a fan of the champion taking a backseat to another angle. It can work at times, but the champion is supposed to be the biggest star on the show and an almost mythical figure. On the show where Barrett won the battle royal they got close to that. It's not been awful but it could be better.

Going more on the Orton needing a story. Who would you book him in a storyline with and how would you go about booking it?

The who is unimportant. He, and any other champion for that matter, needs a story where it's personal. And I don't mean "you cost me a match and now it's personal!". I mean something where there are outside elements brought in. In short, give us some sports entertainment rather than trying to make it a realistic athletic competition with shenanigans on the side. Take Orton vs. HHH last year. It was personal between them. The booking sucked and they have weak chemistry though so it more or less bombed. Also going on for like 6 months didn't help it but you get the point.

What is it about Mick Foley that makes him your favorite wrestler of all times?

What is your favorite face of Foley? Why?

The Rocky-style character to him. He was never the best at anything really, but he put what he had together and made something of himself. You had guys like Rock who were bred to be a champion and Austin who were so ridiculously popular it was unreal and HHH who was the most evil. And then there's Foley. He isn't the best at anything but he kept at it.

Also they did his gimmick changes totally in reverse. Usually you have a guy play multiple characters but never acknowledge that they're the same guy (Kane as Fake Diesel, Isaac Yankem etc). With Foley, he was always one character. That character just had multiple personalities. It was one of if not the most unique character in history and it never once was questioned because it always worked.

And my favorite would be Mankind I think, but I like Jack's WWF matches best.

That's the thing. I always thought up until their match at WrestleMania the story was great. Then after that I thought it went downhill.

It's the same problem Dusty and Flair had. The talking was great, the matches sucked. For the life of me I want to know who booked the main event of Mania. Who thought it was a good idea for that to be HHh loses the title on a DQ?

Do you feel he received the World Heavyweight Championship our of loyalty?

What are your thoughts regarding Foley often being referred to as a "Glorified stuntman?"

JBL never got cheered as a main event heel. Edge and Jericho did frequently. Does this make JBL better?

Not really on the loyalty concept. Austin needed to be away from the belt to make his Mania win bigger and Foley was undoubtedly the 2nd biggest face in the company. I think the loyalty aspect helped it a lot.

No on glorified stuntman. When guys in CZW do it they're freaks. Foley got people to care. That's the ultimate praise a wrestler can get: the fans cared about him. That separates him from other stuntmen wrestlers.

I think there's a case to be made for that actually. The thing is with JBL, I think it was the initial shock of him being in the main event. He had ZERO history as a top heel or with this character and all of a sudden he's in the main event of a PPV and holding the belt for like 9 months. It rubbed a lot of people the wrong way. However he was a heel and a lot of people hated him and wanted him to lose the title so that sounds like a success to me.

As for Jericho, I've never thought he was a natural heel. The guy screams CHEER ME whenever I see him. As for Edge, his character as a heel was so painfully stale for the last 2-3 years that I think people were cheering for him out of just wanting him to change. He was always the heel you loved to hate, which I think had something to do with it.

But all that aside, I think JBL may have been a better natural heel than Jericho or Edge, yeah. Better character but nowhere near as good in ring. Granted the character is more important.

Is there any feasible reason to have Fortune and "THEY", the 2 top heel stables in TNA, team up? Would it have made more sense to make Fortune face?

Agreed. Also, do you think that NXT was just to start Nexus? Season 2 added 4 guys to the roster, and the only one that's really doing anything is Riley, but then again, Henning and Harris are finally doing something. And we won't start on Season 3.

Nah. NXT was a novel concept and it worked for the most part. Also you can get guys main show ring time and see if they work. Barrett did to put it mildly. He was average at best in OVW but he's a smash hit in WWE.

Yeah, I guess I see your point. But the crowd never seemed to get into Season 2. I never really got into Season 2, except for Riley. But you do have a good point.

I'll throw one out there. Or it might be more of two things really.

What did you think of Jeri-Show? And should they have stuck together longer after they lost the belt? Or for that sake should they have held the belts longer instead?

I didn't get their appeal. Granted i don't like putting two main event guys together and saying they're the best tag team after like one match. That might be due to me growing up on 80s tag team wrestling though.

Should tag titles be used as world championships of the tag division and be booked as equal the singles world titles?
