John Morrison Vs. Sheamus feud in the works??

You need heavily to be introduced to the ever so common persona that Chris Jericho more or less always have been. A whiny guy that cried and complained whenever he lost a match as a heel more or less. It was a part of his gimmick. He wasn't a comedy act because guess what, he won championships. And he won matches against talents at the top of his division. Chris Jericho dominated the cruiserweight division for a while, and had some great feuds. Nothing that Santino can ever brag about.

Also, I didn't refer to the fact that Chris Jericho is much better than Santino in the ring. He's also much better on the microphone, has a better look, and steamrolls Santino in terms of being a better superstar and overall wrestler.

And before I forget it.. Turn off your caps lock.

And there's a difference between an entertaining gimmick and a comedy act. Are you gonna tell me next that Stone Cold, The Rock, Shawn Michaels, Triple H were all comedy acts?

There's absolutely positively no way in the world that Santino Marella is getting any form of a serious push towards any type of a significant title in the WWE at any point for the rest of his career. While he has established himself as a terrific comedic character and as such has probably given himself a great deal more job security as compared to many other wrestlers on the current WWE roster, his comedic character(s) have absolutely killed any opportunity at any form of a serious push. His character has done so many off-the-wall antics and has degraded to such absolute silliness that he will never again be taken seriously as a true competitive wrestler in the WWE. He'll be relegated to comedy segments for the rest of his career. Which I guess is better than being future endeavoured, but is not great if he had any aspirations as a serious wrestler. Even at Bragging Rights, when he was a part of Team RAW, he had the unibrow, the cobra, etc., still playing the funny lovable loser. On RAW last night, he was acting like too much of a pussy against the threat of Sheamus that again, he was nothing more than a joke.

To the new dude comparing Santino Marella to Chris Jericho, please give me a break. If you want your opinion to be taken seriously on these forums, you may want to refrain from ludicrous statements like this. Santino couldn't lace up Jericho's boots, whether it be WCW, WWE, or anywhere else.

Jericho is funny and that's part of his act. The reason they let him do some comedy is because he can. Not a lot of wrestler's are up to it. Santino on the other hand, does nothing but. He's been a comedy character since he debuted and he does it well.

He's the only one on the roster doing it on a full time basis. Don't you think it would be weird if all of a sudden he turned serious. There is nothing wrong with what he does, but a title shot doesn't seem in the cards for him. You don't have to be a wrestler to see that. I'm sure he would love a title shot, but really, do you think that he deserves it over someone like John Morrison or The Miz. Come on now, don't talk wet. Santino is a decent mid carder and that's about it for him.

Ok, Sheamus and Santino this past week on RAW. There's no way in HELL the WWE is gonna have the almighty Sheamus in a program with the WWE's biggest lost cause of a joke. No one will EVER take Santino seriously. HHH would be ashamed to workout with Sheamus after that! If that happened how the hell would he ever get another push?? Anyway, I'm thinking this clearly sets up some type of Morrison/Sheamus feud going into the Survivor Series. Next week on RAW, Morrison comes out and wrestles whoever, one of the Uso's, Hart Dynasty member, doesn't matter. Match goes over fairly fast. Morrison gets the "W" and celebrates. Sheamus comes out and proceeds to beat the shit out of Morrison and hit him with the usual 30 wheel kicks or so and hit him with the Celtic Cross/Pale Justice/Razor Ramon ripoff, claiming that he's the only reason he was embarrassed last week by Santino leading us into the Survivor Series, possibly even a traditional SS match to incorporate Santino. Just want to see what you guys think. Let me know!

I definitely see Sheamus vs Morrison happening, and I am pretty happy about it considering their Falls Count Anywhere match on RAW a few weeks ago was really good. I am not the biggest Morrison fan but I have found him more entertaining in recent weeks with his new gimmick, and that was his best match in a long time. I think he and Sheamus have good chemistry and both men need something to do at the moment, so it's a good idea.

As for Santino going over Sheamus, I wasn't a fan of the decision by any means but it could have been worse. Triple H lost to the Brooklyn Brawler in 2000. One random loss like this isn't enough to kill a guy's credibility, and at least this served a purpose if it sets up the Morrison feud. They just need to book Sheamus carefully now. I see a Survivor Series elimination match as you said followed by a singles match at the PPV after (is it still TLC?).

Yes, I believe TLC is next. I think Morrison and Sheamus could possibly have a show stealing match kind of like Undertaker/Jeff Hardy a few years ago or maybe even HBK/Razor from back in the day. As far as Santino gose, I could see him possibly returning to low-mid card status if they're careful with him. Maybe something against DiBiase once the Goldust thing is over?

I'm like you, I think a feud between Morrison and Sheamus that has Morrison coming out on top could do wonders for him and it wouldn't really do Sheamus any harm.

Their last man standing match was great. I think a feud between them would be quite entertaining. John Morrison has been looking for something to get him over the hump and sheamus being an established main eventer feuding with him could be it.

You can say it was a set up for a Morrison/Shaemus rivalry but Santino should not have won.

We're talking about a guy who was going toe to toe with the Big Show the previous night and he loses to Santino? Even with Morrison running interference Santino should not have won by pin fall. If anything, Morrison should have drawn Shaemus out of the ring and let Santino win by count out.

Yeah it seemed kind of strange they have decided to make Santino win but I think over the last weeks Santino has been getting pushed ( Main Event a PPV) and I think this actually was the right thing to do as it was a roll up pin and I think one last good run by Santino would actually be enjoyed.

i don't see how it matters? practically everyone in the WWE these days is loving shaemus, if you remember the match morrison and shaemus had a couple of weeks back i think there is going to be a really special rivalry coming up over the next few months, and it could help morrison become a much bigger character in the WWE.

and as for the santino push... REALLY! are you seriously considering that WWE would EVER push santino! heck no, that win was purely to provide a little more comedy backstage. i can already see what's going to happen next week.

santino will be backstage talking to the bella twins and the shite guest host and he'll be bigging him self up about how he beat shaemus, then of course the human jar of mayonnaise will walk into the room, stand behind santino, scare everyone off, challenge him to a rematch and kick his head off, at which time he'll probably beat down on santino and then in steps morrison to save the day.

I don't think it matters because it didn't make Shaemus look weak. It just made Santino look weak by having him get squashed by Shaemus. Sure, he won, but with help from John and it was a roll up pin that not even he expected to be successful. This just set up a feud between Shaemus and Morrison, but I'm sure Santino may be back to where he used to be after this. If he really wants to succeed he doesn't need a change of gimmick and get his comedy act over. He needs to change that damn finisher of his.
