Jacob's Wrestling Fanart

So funny story about me, I have a Deviantart account. Have so for the better part of seven months now and I've managed to grow a pretty decent little corner of the internet for me.

I've been drawing for I think since around 2nd grade, but it was only like last year I decided to take it on a more serious direction. I'm hoping to one day create my own webcomic series or even make my own animation studio akin to Disney and Pixar...

But that's years from now, my art is nowhere near ready for that sort of stuff yet.

Now you're probably thinking...what the hell's the point of this? Well, i'mma be blunt with y'all...

I made WWE fanart.

No seriously, I made fanart of WWE superstars. More specifically, Fandango, Tyler Breeze and Alexa Bliss.

Observe: http://jacobtoonz.deviantart.com/art/Breezango-and-Alexa-Bliss-647489328

As you can probably guess...it's kind of sub-par, and at points a little bit cringe-worthy. But really, I've kind of always had issues with anatomy; it's gotten a lot better I think, but it still needs work.

I've also dabbed onto two genderbends for Wade Barrett and Dolph Ziggler.

Dolph: http://jacobtoonz.deviantart.com/art/Danielle-Ziggler-WWE-Genderbent-684000971

I even dabbled in something out of a wrestling game, you may or may not know it as Total Extreme Wrestling. (Wrestling booker game in which you book shows on a promotion, really big fanbase within the wrestling community)

Behold: http://jacobtoonz.deviantart.com/art/My-Style-Your-Style-Meme-Example-677484257 (This is Charity Sweet, wrestler for QAW)

To put it simply, my love for WWE has gone so far that it's actually making me draw fanart...My next piece based on wrestling? It's actually based off of a shipping idea I just started thinking about. (Yeah, in Deviantart they tend to ship The Shield a lot...don't ask) Here's my question for you: Anyone actually think Elias Sampson would like to have a little 'bliss' in his life?

So yeah, that's basically it. You've probably just listened to me ramble on and on about sub-par artwork some sixteen year old kid that has nothing better to do with his life made. You're free to stick around and search up my non wrestling pictures if you want, tell me what you think of them; but I doubt you probably want to.

I'm going to go think about what I've been doing with my life.

I liked it. It was cool. Don't be harsh on yourself for doing it. Continue the good stuff and keep improving.

Thanks man.

I wasn't really sure if anyone would like it, it's not particularly impressive...but knowing that someone at least finds it cool makes me feel a lot better about it.

Might I suggest taking a look at stencil art?
It should help you in the long run be able to pick out shadowing.

Also try using a grid to help you learn how to size everything. You just have to figure out your scaling for the grid.

Always always be open to criticism and advice. Even if it seems harsh.

At least it looks like you have your own style. Expand on that. If you like doing more cartoon type art then learn how to draw cartoon characters you like and help use that to develop your style even more.

As long as it's fun for you then stick with it. And if it stops being fun take a break for a while. You can always pick back up. I took about a six year break from art and just got back into it about a year ago.

So you don't think I'm just a blowhard that doesn't know what he's talking about here is some of my work.

I don't have any wrestling ones though.

I'm always willing to take some criticism, and give some back. Thanks for the advice.

Also, that stencil drawing looks really cool. I've never actually considered doing stencil art before, sounds like a lot of fun.

BTW: I made something new for the ol' page, you know that ship piece I promised? Here it is.
