True. But I can proudly claim that Nickeback sucks, as does Creed. And I can do so without fear that I'm doing so because Bob Miller from down the street told me to.

Fact of the matter is that Nickelback is a fun band. Their songs are either about heartache or about getting laid and partying. To me, that is a good balance. Not to mention that they're one of Canada's best selling rock bands of all time, if you go by the numbers.

Believe it or not, they took their influences from Pantera and Metallica. Of course, they have tons of haters because their sound isn't really "original". However, it's effective, since they constantly sell out arenas and move album sales.

I don't care about how many arenas they sold out or how many people bought their albums. NSYNC and the Backstreet Boys sold how many millions of records? They brought how many girls to their arenas? And their music blows how bad?

Anything to write off an opposing opinion, you know?

I agree, that's why I wish more of the top guys on this forum would post in non-spam. You create a lot of threads over there, and I try to comment on every one of them. Most of the threads are shit, created by guys, like Blue said, who either suck ass or leave after ten posts.

Yes, most of them are morons (I think I said that already). But this is a wrestling forum, so generally, I come here to talk about, I dunno, wrestling. So unless there is some secret, elite place to talk about wrestling outside of non-spam (and the wrestling spam zone) that I am not aware of, I think the options are rather limited.

I know, I usually just do the LDs and post in wrestling occasionally. The Bar and Sports are where I post the majority of the time, I'm not a just wrestling person.

I used to like Creed, too. Then they started playing live... what a disaster.

A good point. But it just goes to show that a band is good if the majority of the people in this world enjoy their music. Hence, their record sales. We can say they suck all day long, but it means jack shit if they're selling out arenas.

NSync and BackDoor Boys sold out arenas and I absolutely DESPISED everything about them. But, were they good singers? Yes. Did I like their music? FUCKKKK NO. But did millions of other people. Yes

That's the point here. Our opinions aren't always gospel. Sometimes we need to concede with things that we don't agree with.

YOU guys try keeping that section clean, posting LEGITIMATE thoughts in their threads, and then somehow finding time to make threads of your own. It's fucking impossible. I have a life outside of here, damnit.

I really don't have a huge problem with you, I just see that you keep taking shots at me on this thread, and it actually pissed me off, which doesn't happen all that often.

I understand you're pretty worked up over this ROTY thing, but I'm not. I don't feel I'm "in competition" with anyone. I come here to talk about wrestling, not worry about winning awards. If some people like my posts, I'm appreciative. It's always nice to be told you're doing a good job, and winning an award would be cool. But I'm not about to "ask for a mentor" so I can win an award.

Fuck yeah D-Man, my man crush on you has grown even more. I love Nickelback, one of my favorite bands out there. True with the life I have led I can find a common ground with a lot of their music, so it means more to me than just a song, but if I didn't have that connection, I'd still love them. Fun band, fun songs, serious songs, as you said a nice mix, plus their live concerts are fucking sick. I went to one at the Gorge Ampitheater last summer, awesome. Saving Abel opened, followed by Hinder then Papa Roach and the finale Nickelback. Awesome concert.
