It's Wrestlemania Time..!

Maybe being away for so long had an impact but I felt like some of this really drug on.

However I did enjoy the ladder match. Probably my favorite match of the night.

You sound like an utter fool right now.

So you liked watching him lay there not moving for 5 minutes. Then stand up and wobble for another 5 minutes, disrobe for 5 minutes then walk up the ramp for 5 minutes? That was compelling to you? It took way too long, even for the special emotional people who were crying in the crowds.

Plus I thought J.R lost alot of his edge on commentary, sad to say. I love J.R and was excited to see him calling this match. But he's not half the voice he was in his prime.
I think it's fair to say JR gets a pass. Not to mention it was hard because the crowd really wasn't into it. They were hesitant to cheer because they knew the enevitable was coming. JR's tone was pretty similar to that of the crowd's.

It was a proper send off for one of the most prolific characters in wrestling history.

This is the epitome of smark garbage. He earned it, he deserved it and he's quite possibly the most universally loved wrestler ever. An extra 10 or so minutes for the guy is definitely appropriate. Not to mention, with the show basically being over, you could've simply turned off the TV.

I enjoyed the show tonight. I'll never ever care about another wrestler the way I did the Undertaker, but then again, he drew me in when I was a kid. His sendoff tonight was appropriate, especially for his character, but I really hope RAW does a tribute, maybe he would even do a farewell speech, though I doubt it. GREATEST career of all time. Honestly, has there ever been a wrestler that made you care more about his storylines when they weren't about the title. Thank you Undertaker!

I suppose. But after 5 hours, I get impatient and cranky. I'm old alright! Get off my yard!

Jesus. It's almost 6 am where I'm from. I'll be up in 4 hours to go to work and I am not complaining. I watched WrestleMania and put the effort in because I wanted to, knowing I'll be tired as shit tomorrow night. Imagine you, who'll probably go to sleep at midnight and be fresh like a daisy in the morning. Arrogant prick.

Lol, its 2 AM here. I get up at 6 AM to go to work. I'll be sleeping in my delivery truck and crashing into people.

Don't watch it live then. Priorities man. If you can't handle being sleep deprived for a day or have a really important job, just don't do it. It's not like WWE forced you to watch it. Complaining "oh so long and I have to sleep" makes you seem like a baby more so than WWE the deranged parents. They have the WWE Network and you can watch it anytime, ON DEMAND.

Unfortunately there's people at my work who'll be blabbing about it for the first part of the morning and it would be difficult to not spoil it. Not sure where you read that I was complaining about sleeping.

I don't subscribe to the notion that the bad match was ALL Taker's fault. Flair in '08 was a bigger mess than Taker was tonight. And Michaels carried Flair to the match of his life that night. It was basically Shawn telling Flair, "Just let me do the work and follow me".

Great wrestlers extract good matches out of old, dwindling performers on the big stage. That is why I believe Cena would have gotten a much better match out of Taker. Major props to the Dead Man for going out the old school way- putting over younger talent in his last match. He is the most unselfish 'legendary' wrestler of the modern era. But he deserved a much better match and opponent for his final go-around. Especially after the 5 star classic he gave Shawn Michaels at WM 26.

Finally, Thank You Taker. My childhood is officially over tonight.

Yeah, probably. Everybody seems to think so and this seems like the exact way he would go out. I wonder if that's the last time we'll ever see him in a WWE ring. He doesn't seem like the type to come in for one-off random appearances.

I think it was probably the last time we see The Deadman character. We'll probably see him appear as "The American Badass" aka his self from here on out. Of course still using The Undertaker name though.

So I'm back (after spending 40 minutes in a parking lot (meaning grass) waiting on traffic to move) and my goodness what a night. This show, while not as great as Wrestlemania XXX, was quite a rollercoaster of emotions. While I'll have the full review up asap (give me a few days thanks to bad wifi and a 14 hour drive home Wednesday), here are a few quick thoughts.

1. That set was amazing and looked incredible in the dark. Possibly the best looking one they've ever done.

2. The mixed tag went exactly as I expected with Cena just popping up at the end and winning with his usual.

3. The proposal, while cheesy, was fast and fine enough.

4. The Hardys coming out made me jump to my feet, along with about 75,000 other people.

5. AJ vs. Shane was shockingly good.

6. What was the point of Nia Jax being added? Like at all.

7. Stephanie's table bump woke up the crowd.

8. I can't stand Stephanie but SWEET GOODNESS she looked incredible tonight.

9. I want to punch the finish of Bray vs. Orton in the face, kick it in the testicles and feed it to a ravenous bull.

10. Goldberg vs. Lesnar was better than I was expecting.

11. Mickie James and Alexa Bliss look very good in trunks.

12. Naomi's entrance is one of the trippiest things you'll ever see live.

13. New Day was worthless tonight and I forgot they were a thing for hours at a time.

14. The ending with Undertaker and the post-show stuff with him leaving almost got to me a bit.

15. The upper deck at Wrestlemania is a REALLY BAD PLACE for someone who doesn't like loud noises or heights.

More later of course. Ask away if there's anything you want to know about live.
