Football is called football because its a game where you KICK a BALL with YOUR FOOT...

It's not brain surgery so why is it so hard to deal with?

Plus the fact that real (ie not American) football was invented, played AND NAMED hundreds of years ago, what dumb ass thinks they have a right to change it when a new game is invented that has nothing to do with using your feet?

Considering "American Football/Gridiron/NFL" (whatever you like to call it these days) is played with your hands, I vote the rest of the world should start calling that HANDball....

well while this is a pointless ranting thread....it is technicaly futbol to most of the world and I am pretty sure nations like Spain, Argentina, Brazil and such will refer to it as that. The reason why the Americans called it football I am guessing is because we kick field goals and such...(truth is I have no fucking clue). It is really a dumb topic.

Thats like comparing an American "soccer" player to an English premiership player. It aint even half as fair.

It should have been a proffesional NFL guy going against a proffesional Rugby player ie; one from England or Austrailia, maybe even the Frogs league...
