Is the Moneyball Story that Madden Wrote "Real"?

Pre-Show Stalwart
The story is interesting, but I don't know if it's real or just another bashing story on TNA. Can anyone else shed some light on whether this is real or not?

If it is real, is this why Hogan's leaving?

Can someone shed some light on this for me?

I don't usually sign on to comment unless I have something relevant to say. Having said that, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to say this. You are an idiot. Delete your account.

That is all.

I don't LIVE, EAT, and BREATH wrestling like you guy's obviously. I know how to spell. I just hit the wrong letter, and made a mistake and didn't catch it. Of course I'm not perfect just like all you guy's obviously.

I can see why people hate the IWC because most of you have no life, and have nothing better to do than degrade people instead of a actual answer like "that just say's it's KAYFAB", or "IT'S JUST MADDEN GOING OFF ON TNA AGAIN". Instead this country is filled with people like you guy's that have to berate and belittle someone for a simple honest question. What a pityful display of humanism which is why parent's tend to kill their young.
Embarrassing.

I won't lie as I thought it was real until I read Mark's name on there and just shook my head. What he said is exactly what needs to happen in TNA though. It was mostly true for the most part and I actually wish it was true. Madden, whether you like him or not, he does bring up good points. I wish it was real; all of what he wrote so maybe TNA needs to read this article to wake them up and see what they truly need to do for TNA. Their wrestlers bust their asses for them to not move any forward than what they have been. It is sad and Madden hit it right on the head with this article.

But man it isn’t real though as much as it should be the story would be headlined and talked about by everyone by now.

That column was funny as hell. Especially the emphasis on how Hogan & Russo are negatively affecting TNA. Jeff Hardy: "Did someone say lines?" How about the line of guys waiting to bone Karen Jarrett? :lmao: Even the stuff about Kazarian & Traci Brooks was funny. TNA would be better if micromanaged by a moneyball scenario.

Thanks RKO for a decent response to a honest question instead of calling me every name in the book.

I hate Madden writes shit about TNA, but the damn scenerio sounded so real, and I was actually hoping that was something that really happened.

I hate what madden SAY'S, but your right. It need's to happen. Thank you again for a civilized answer. I appreciate it.

So the first three people to post here after the op, had nothing intelligent to say, but they call the op an idiot. That's just sad, and proves why Vincent mcmahon considers the iwc to be trash.

In answer to the op's question, maybe it is real, maybe it isn't. Remember, mark maddened could be paid to write false info.

And now, since the first three idiotic posters are probably going to bash me: fuck you, and fuck tu made.
Adios.

Then I guess your lucky Mr. Delinquent, if you are from another country.
USA is in the crapper, and your a lucky one if your not. I love my country but it's not what it should be. Besides this is about wrestling not where we are from. Thank you

I am from the Uk and I love America.

But yes, you are right about what you said about the thread.

No it is not real, it is just Madden on the wind up, taking a dig at TNA, Hogan and Russo. I love Mark Madden though, I think he is on the ball with what he says and I find him really entertaining aswell.

What a pityful display of humanism which is why parent's tend to kill their young.

This is the greatest line I have read on a wrestling site for a while.

Madden is a douche who hates TNA and tries to undermine everything that they do. He has never and never will be relevant to wrestling. The best advice I could give is just to ignore his rants as they are just a load of bollocks. It was about as funny as Cole's anal bleeding line, NOT funny.

I didn't see the Raw where he said that, what happened?

Got to disagree with you there about Madden. He give us his own perspective on wrestling and I find it very entertaining.

His last couple of posts have even got the annoying reply " Duh, I don't usually like Madden but he was spot on there" or "Duh, Madden is a fat bastard duh." now those are stupid and irrelevant.

See me after class.

And no, we do have lives, we just like to correct people so that people can't perpetuate the stigma that all pro wrestling fans are stupid, blue-collar rednecks... Not that they're bad people, either. I don't usually correct people or act high and mighty, but that column was so obviously a Mark Madden column so... I'm just sayin'

That and also it had his name on the top

Please dwith, do not change. The fact that you had to question it means that you are a mark and I love that. I wish I believed in it that much, still; it makes it better.

I saw the name of this thread and decided that I should read the article, until I saw the name, "Billy Beane," and was like, "Oh...Madden is just kidding around."

Billy Beane was the manager of the 2002 Oakland As that the movie Moneyball is based on. Madden must have just seen the movie or something and thought this idea was funny. It would have been funnier if Madden hadn't stooped to his, "****es and drugies," gags that he can't avoid, but what else should we expect? Madden is a pig, but I guess it was funny to someone. I mean, Jeff is trying to get better (or at least that's what we're being led to believe,) and Karen Jarrett has kids. Sure, we all know what kind of a woman she is in real life, but don't put stuff like that about her on the Internet where a simple Google search of her name could lead her kids to it; at least give the kids some dignity, Madden.

Eh, I know the guy would never see this, but that's the sentiment I'd express to him if I had the chance.

I doubt the kids would google search her name and come up with some random guy posting about her on his internet blog or some wrestling fan calling her a ****e on a forum.

There will be hundreds of posts about her and her life so the kids would have to be having a thorough check of the internet to find it.

Jeff trying to get better? I'm sorry I thought he was trying to get better after the first time he did it. How come he can get away with it while some guy I knew got trashed for it hmmmm

If the story were real, how would madden know about it? the whole story takes place at a meeting that he obviously did not attend. not just that, but it is FULL of jokes. a true story would have been taken seriously. The story was clearly a joke. I'm not going to straight up call the OP a moron like some of the other posters, but dude, really?

Beane and Depodesta haven't worked together for almost ten years so the fact that someone would think that they would magically come together for a wrestling company amuses me.:lmao:

Madden has more of a chance than any of us to know about any meeting and happenings. Besides the inside jokes in his MONEYBALL scenerio it sounded like it could've been real for I knew. I mean the guy spoke alot of truth's, and I have no idea what moneyball mean,s except it's the title of Brad Pitt's new movie. I don't watch baseball so I wouldn't have known abou tthe BEANE guy. His story sounded real, and I just thought he had twisted some of the thing's to suit his ideals of TNA. That's all.

I like TNA, but I really wish that it had been true to an extent.

The OP is such a fucking idiot.

You really think that entire story was real? Seriously? You are a dumbass.
