What Is Impact Wrestling?

I was attending a funeral last week so I didn't watch until Saturday night. I fast-forwarded through at least half the show. This is brutally bad. Cutting away to random match footage they have from partner promotions... I know why they're doing it, and why they would justify the behavior, but from an end-user perspective, it just looks disjointed.

This really is like the World Title Series all over again. I'm utterly bored by everything. There's literally nothing happening that I have the least bit of interest in seeing at BFG. The most interesting bit might even be the return of ADR. At least that has some controversy attached to it that makes seeing what he does somewhat compelling.

UFC fighters versus Moose and UFC fighter is a snooze.

I don't care about Johnny Impact. I know I'm supposed to, but I just don't. I have a bad feeling that Drake will be losing the title to him, too, which makes it so much worse.

oVe are not good. They're like a generic, shittier version of The Young Bucks.

The X Division is a grab bag... again. Not a single personal feud going into the biggest PPV of the year. You'd think they'd have opted to rebuild it by building Xavier up as the next one.

AAA versus Impact... zzzZZZzzz

Rosemary vs. Taya Valkyrie might be the only feud worth watching for a conclusion on, and that, too, was given far too little runway before it's expected to take flight at BFG.

It really does feel like they just don't have enough material to fill in two hours a week. With the number of wrestlers they have, that's not acceptable.

It's just bad story-telling. Invasions, etc. can all be done well (or well enough) if you just tell a fucking story worth hearing. Everything they're doing is shotgun booking with quick payoffs and just rather boring builds.

It's true. The problem for me is I have no reason to care that AAA guys are after the TNA guys. Who are these AAA guys? All we know is they're from AAA and they're awesome. What else am I supposed to know about them?

in other words, they had TWO chances to come up with an idea for the match and couldn't do it. Well done indeed guys.

Got through this "episode" in about 35 minutes last night by fast-forwarding to the seemingly never-ending BFG sit down interviews that we've seen for the last month.

This barely qualified as an episode of Impact. It was a PPV preshow.

They already have enough outside groups involved and it hasn't really done them anything. I don't see how ROH would do them much good.
