You really can't fault him for it though, Starkist. He did everything he could to get TNA to the pinnacle, but it just didn't happen. Through no fault of his own, really, but it just didn't happen.
So sure, it took him fifteen years to get to WWE, or more specifically to go there, and yeah, he's gone on record in the past about the reasons why he didn't sign with them in the first place during the whole WCW invasion, citing a distrust of how they'd handle his character, but maybe he no longer feels that way? Maybe time and the recognition he has little of it left as an active wrestler made him re-think his convictions?
Like I said earlier, as fans, we can choose what we watch, but the depth of brand loyalty you are talking about, decrying a guy like Sting as having "sold his soul" by signing with a company you don't like is just too far gone. I consider myself a "TNA guy" too, but they're not above reproach to me, and WWE is a product I routinely inspect to see if it's something I might be interested in. The answer has consistently been 'no', but that doesn't dissuade me from inspecting it again weeks or months or years later.
Maybe Sting did/does the same?
By the way, to you, Rayne and KB, I never once faulted Sting for going to WWE.
You along with Rayne and KB have no clue why he went there. I also know that the thought that he could have went for a million reasons is great. If money is not one of them then great. But my statement does not make it wrong nor does any one of your guys' thoughts.
You cannot walk this earth and not think money could not sway someones mind to do something is crazy. Sting always stated he never wanted to go to WWE to get the Booker T treatment. He goes an loses to Triple H. The guy who probably helped lure him in. Then his promos against Seth Rollins (yes i know you do not watch) are about how he (being Rollins) is not as great as Triple H. It is terrible as it sounds like Sting is there to promote Triple H.
Now a viewer might say it is to set up an angle which it might be. But out of all the things to write about they chose for Sting to praise Triple H in a subtle way.
But sure could it be that he went to submit his legacy? Sure. But the constant "idk what I am talking about" is ridiculous. Your guys' opinions are just that, opinions such as mine. So maybe i don't know but for Rayne you as well do not know the reason why Sting went either.
No this is not an attack as all 3 of you are far better posters than I but I needed to get this off ny chest.
