Impact Support Club House

It was reportedly noted to F4WOnline.com by backstage sources in NXT that it was pretty shocking how much WWE officials were stressing over the fact that TNA was taping Impact in Orlando, which is so close to the NXT taping in Winter Park.

There's no question that the WWE sees TNA as competition. While they may not be on the same level financially, the products are extremely comparable. Sometimes it's not about which company is the most popular, but which puts on the better show. A lot of the times it isTNA.

Dude, that report is made up horse shit. WWE films NXT once in a fortnight and TNA does it 3 days straight every 2 weeks. Why the hell would NXT sweat about attendance? Not to mention it's just about 1500 for either show. This is clearly just crap for hits on their sites.

No they don't.

They do.

First of all, there's that (what I just posted).

Secondly, do you remember this?
According to PWInsider.com, despite WWE's continued claims that TNA is not competition to them, it's being said that when TNA announced it would be taking Impact on the road, WWE began calling a number of mid-sized venues and placing them on hold so TNA cannot book them for events.
It's also being said that if TNA does in fact run shows every Thurday night that WWE is considering running events on the same nights in the same areas, possibly in an attempt to lure fans away from TNA.

How about the time they decided to bring in Hart, after Hogan announced the date he was arriving to TNA?

Again, they're not competition on a business level, but as far as what airs on TV, they are.

Horse shit or not, both companies are still in competition with each other.

Just read spoilers for upcoming Impacts.

Love the turnaround in storytelling. But how they format that into episodic storytelling is gonna fuck up talent in the long run. And they really need to work on making certain things not be so damn obvious.

As far as the competition thing goes, are we really calling TNA's flagship show vs. WWE's minor league show competition? That's what TNA has come to now?

At this point what does it matter? We're talking about NXT compared to Impact. It would be a different story if it was Raw or Smackdown.

If you were referring to my post, I was trying to say that if the TNA creative actually put a lot of effort in, which they are capable of, they can be competition to the WWE (product wise that is, I'm not talking about being a threat them). I'm sure there have been times where you have enjoyed watching Impact more than RAW.

Sometimes yeah. That doesn't make them competition though. Competition means I have to pick one over the other. I can easily watch everything both companies put out without one interfering with the other.

I suppose those periods when they are doing well, they don't gain a whole lot of the WWE fans, but if they were well known, I think they could manage that.

No, it really is about what show is more popular. Always. The more people you have coming through the gate and watching your television show, the more people you have buying $29.99 t-shirts and $80 replica title belts. Is there some great panel of artists out there judging professional wrestling on artistic merit that I haven't heard about? So far as I'm aware, this is strictly a money making operation.

The only competition TNA ends up in with WWE is the theoretical case where a person only has enough money to choose to buy tickets/PPV from one company or the other, and I really haven't heard anyone complaining that they'd buy TNA, but were already buying WWE and so couldn't. It comes down to where people choose to spend their money, and WWE's winning that one far and away.

If you're entertained by TNA, it's been said before that's great, like what you want to like. But for the love of Toots Mondt, don't trick yourself into thinking this is Broadway theater. The people who would actually be in that competition (if it existed) don't give two shits if their program has more artistic merit than the other.

They are well known. Slightly less than a million people watch Impact every week. Lack of awareness is not what TNA's problem is right now, and TNA hasn't had the lack of awareness problem since maybe 2006. TNA's problem is that people are aware of them, but don't care enough to make time in their Thursday night schedule (or on their DVR's, apparently) to watch.

‏@REALBully5150: "Rumor has it there's a funeral for me and my club tonight. "You cannot kill that which will not die." Hope everyone has a MISERABLE day."

:fuckoff:

Replica title belts cost $80??? And parents BUY it???

Also, Park's reaction to his older brother not showing up was priceless.

What was the endgame to that stunt? How did they think they were going to pull it off? Is Park finally getting revealed plainly as Abyss, or had that already happened?

Tonight, my hand-picked opponent... Earl Hebner! Lol

Also, never expected Hardy to go over Roode, since it means face v face semi final AND final, so there's probably some heel turn in the mix...

Anyone else struggling mightily to avoid all these fucking spoilers? God, I hate when TNA is taped. All these know-it-all mother fuckers just ruin everything. I can't even click a TNA-related link anymore without someone ruining some major angle.

Speaking of spoilers, we are in the bar room, so I'd appreciate it if any of you who do want to discuss them do so with spoiler tags in this thread. I'm doing everything I can to avoid them.
