Impact Support Club House

So glad Bateman has a job again. Haven't watched TNA in a while, so only realised it's him now.

He came third in NXT 4, losing to pre-funkasaurus Brodus Clay (runner-up) and Fandango as Johnny Curtis. I get that Clay as the monster would come in second either way, but Johnny Curtis was the most vanilla face you could imagine. His gimmick was something about being an orphan. Bateman, meanwhile, was pulling off shenanigans with his pro, Daniel Bryan. He had a delightful Jew-fro and can do comedy.

The rumour that was floating around before Jack Swagger's return was that Bateman would be repackaged as an All-American hero, but that has yet to happen...

I thought that they released NXT stars that were not getting over with the crowd. Was EC3 getting over with the crowd or what?

Was or not though, this guy is awesome. I think he's the first man of the "new faces" his aunt wants to bring in.

I don't remember if Bateman fucked up backstage, but he had a nagging injury, methinks. You guys should ask the Road Captain.

"Overness" is hard to judge on NXT, because the hundred guys who make up the crowd are pretty smarky.

Waiting for the third period of the Rangers/Canadiens game to start I decided to put RAW on to see what was happening. Kane came out. I was like "Sure, OK — I like Kane enough". Then I heard "AWESO—", saw the Miz' tron video start and immediately changed the channel.

Too funny.

A shame though, because after Miz got annihilated by Kane one of the more interesting parts happened in a Kane promo.

If I were watching the WWE for the first time in forever, I would probably have changed the channel as well. Miz is AWWWWWWW-FULLL.

What I will give Miz is that he's improved vastly. I mean, he's still well and truly horrible, but I don't change the channel when he appears anymore myself, like when he was champ.

I too think The Miz is awful, however, if you find The Miz awful but find any value in that guy who hangs around Robbie E, you know the untalented, reality TV star who used the minimal name he has to become a "professional wrestler" then your a hypocrite, considering their basically the same person.

I think they're both shit (although i did like Miz at one point)

I dunno Robbie E could do well with a different gimmick I feel. Jesse is his gimmick and nothing more

I agree to a certain extent. The Bromans-gimmick is fun and Jesse has a look, at least. But you're right - for all intents and purposes, they're the same guy.

Yeah, they're not though. At best, the Miz and Jesse could be considered similar, both being ex-reality television actors (I refuse to call them stars) who went into pro-wrestling. Robbie E isn't in that group.

That's why I listed Robbie by name. Rob is good, didn't like him in the beginning but the guy has actual talent on the shtick and in the ring, plus he's genuinely entertaining, I'll even post The Miz's name, because while he isn't great, he used to be shit. He did a lot to improve himself as a talker and worker. But that other guy Robbie hangs around, he sucks, has nothing of value to give and is only a "wrestler" and I use that term of employment loosely, because TNA offered him free training to become one in-order to gain a minimal degree of spotlight off his reality TV star spotlight and since debuting has not done a thing to be impressive. Not one, damn, thing.

AAA has announced that AJ Styles will defend the TNA World Heavyweight Championship at this Sunday's TV tapings in Tonala, Mexico. AAA executive Dorian Roldan noted that he received an email from Styles asking to defend his title, and the two parties agreed. Styles' opponent is expected to be announced later today. More to come.

OH YES

I'm looking forward to the matches in AAA and supposedly Wrestle-1 (how about NJPW?), but I don't think that he's only going to go to Mexico and Japan. His first tweet after "walking out" said that he will "travel around the world and bring the title to you." I see him going to Australia and coming here to the UK; two other countries where TNA is well known. His matches oversees are going to be awesome.
