Impact Support Club House

I'm looking forward to the matches in AAA and supposedly Wrestle-1 (how about NJPW?), but I don't think that he's only going to go to Mexico and Japan. His first tweet after "walking out" said that he will "travel around the world and bring the title to you." I see him going to Australia and coming here to the UK; two other countries where TNA is well known. His matches oversees are going to be awesome.

Unless TNA can find a way to get Styles vs. whoever the fuck he faces from Wrestle-1 on TV you'll be watching it on YouTube.

And NJPW had an affiliation, they got pissed off with how TNA used their talents (TNA had Okada, fucking OKADA and wasted him) so they ended the working relationship. NJPW's American affiliate is now Ring of Honor.

I'm still trying to figure out how AJ Styles parading all over the globe, defending a TNA World Heavyweight Championship which is no longer recognized by the company, after they have likely selected a new Champion, benefits the company. It benefits the other groups, having a guy of his magnitude appear. And it ultimately will likely have benefit in the inevitable Champion versus Champion match. But in the meantime, other than exciting the IWC, how does TNA benefit from Styles competing in Mexico, Japan, or wherever else.

Who knows, maybe he will show up some evening and defend his title on NXT :)

It's more about building up the storyline. While I don't know if they're going to show any footage of his matches, I'm sure they're going to update everyone on what he's been up to.

But at the same time you're right. If he stays away too long it kills his momentum and people might just stop caring.

I would imagine that it would probably also help any relationship between TNA and the companies that feature one of his matches. Can't hurt when people owe you favors.

Same, but I think it largely depends on how and when he returns. I know we're (speaking from a general sense) tired of the stable wars thing, but if this is a control of the company angle, Styles coming back, as another user pointed out in the TNA section a bit ago, with a group of guys left go by the company, and by Carter (Morgan, Shelley, Lethal, Williams, etc) as part of a takeover angle might make it worth it, especially if it's coupled with what ends up being an undisputed TNA WHC match between Styles, who would be carrying the original WHC, and the WHC that Dixie is likely to name (if I'm writing it) and give the title to. Be that Bully Ray, or hell, even ECIII. Maybe Roode? I dunno. I'm just saying, this all depends on how they write the book.

According to KJ, Styles' AAA opponent is the biggest name on the Lucha Libre scene right now; are there any big names down in Wrestle-1, that would actually generate a decent buyrate for the company if AJ Styles competes there?

Company as in Wrestle-1 by the way. I suppose the only way TNA would actually benefit from these title defenses is if AJ Styles encourages the Mexicans and the Japanese to watch TNA, after he (most likely) defeats their top stars and shows off his remarkable talent.

As for the next TNA Champion in Team Dixie, it's most likely a heel for Styles to come back and face. Christopher Daniels is in the Bad Influence, Bully Ray just lost his after 6 months so that's not happening, Chris Sabin is the X-Division Champion and Austin Aries hasn't really been in the main event picture for a while, so I don't know how they'll bring him up so fast. That leaves us with Bobby Roode. He just had an amazing match with an Olympic Gold Medalist, and beat him. He also looks like the "Corporate" guy several heel bosses admire, so I reckon the next title holder will be the "It Factor" Bobby Roode.

Wrestle-1 doesn't even have PPV. And it has no truly noticeable names other than Muta. Example of this, Rene Dupree main evented their first show. Let that sink in.

Oh he serious, Rob Feinstein asked a minor for sex on the internet, was caught and it was discovered that the boy was actually an adult. Either way, the guy wanted to do the dance with no pants, with a teenager. Although, I don't know why they're not resuming to their partership as Rob resigned anyway.

Well it was Angle that actually put Roode over, along with Sting. He may not have beat him at Bound For Glory 2011, but it was an excellent match. Then there was the recent match at this year's BFG, which was probably the best match on the card.

I remember the "old guys are hogging the spotlight :banghead:, this company suxx!!" argument which was actually started before Hulk Hogan had even arrived in the company. Sometimes I wonder if these people actually watch the product. They didn't complain when Triple H AND Shawn Michaels were involved in this year's Hell In A Cell Pay-Per-View, or when The Rock, Brock Lesnar and also The Undertaker were involved in three of the upper-card matches at Wrestlemania 29, but when Kurt or Sting are in a main event, negative feedback is given because of their ages. If they can wrestle, and they're getting the younger stars over, I don't see a problem.

This is true.

Just watched Impact. It's tough to see one of the best in the business in a bad state like Angle was in at the end of the show.

On a plus note, Bad Influence are probably the funniest tag teams of all time.

Just read some IWC "journalism" for the first time in a while. Would have been a waste of time as usual other than this Dixie Pacman thing, which is pure gold, especially when I can read jackhammer posts treating it seriously.
