As the title says if kurt was to leave the tna who would take over as the face of the franchise.

With sting possibly leaving as well tna would not have any big name people left for the average people to associate with.

I would figure AJ might be the new face of the franchise but that does leave Tna in a really tough situation

So I guess my question is what happens if angle does leave tna, who takes over and what happens with the roster? Would the company be able to draw viewership?

I do appologize if this is thread is somewhere else as well

So please discuss!!!

well, obviously they need to keep AJ there, also with upcoming stars like Hernandez and Matt Morgan, theres 3 people there, although it might take some time for both Hernandez and Morgan to carry TNA like Angle and Sting does. Samoa Joe and Daniels as well are a main choice as strong contenders that i would like to see, along with the former WWE guys, Lashley, Kennedy (possibly) that wil help give some experience within the company just like Sting and Angle have given.

It will take some time to fill Angle's and possibly Stings shoes but i think thats why TNA have already started to make stars in Hernandez and Morgan, but not if Hernandez is booked wrong like he is at the moment. I think TNA should deal with the guys who helped MAKE the company rather than who HELPED get exposure, focus on AJ, Joe, Daniels etc

While I don't think that the loss of both guys will drop TNA significantly, it would still leave TNA without a name that potential new fans have heard of. Kurt is known outside the wrestling world and to a lesser degree so is Sting. After that its guys who are names in the wrestling world but not well known outside it. Foley, Nash, Booker, etc.

TNA has got to start promoting their people outside wrestling. Something the WWE does very well. The problem TNA has is Spike TV doesn't have the type of shows that TNA guys can make appearances on to get their names and faces out there like the WWE can do with USA. They need to set guys like AJ out on promo tours, go on radio shows, anything that can get them attention from the people not currently watching wrestling.

BFG is a few weeks away, I would have Kurt, AJ, Sting and Joe all over Southern California doing signings, going on the radio, anything to get them and TNA out in the public eye. This is what frustrates me about TNA. They just seem to do things like a small independent company not like the major wrestling company they are.

Sorry for rambling but I like TNA and it frustrates me to see how they do things sometimes.

I think if Kurt leaves no one can really fill his spot. They can build more main eventers that will be good. I don't think they will put the future of the company specifically on one man's shoulders. However if they were to do so I would choose Aj Styles. That man is the face of TNA and always will be. As long as he main events and is relevant and around the TNA World title he will help to carry the company and make the company better. Add in the fact that Hernandez and Matt Morgan and even Eric Young will be up there someday and you've got yourself a golden tier of up and coming talent on the roster. When Kurt leaves I think TNA will have the enough up and comers to fill the spot of Angle.

When the time comes for Kurt to leave, who would take his spot is a good question. Based on the current TNA roster, there is not allot of options. I would go with someone who is already established in TNA. You have AJ who is probably there top face, and will remain that way. I say that because when he was a heel, he sucked. As for the top heel, that would be Angles spot, I would say Joe. He has pretty much been a heel since day one, but people like him. Now, his heel attitude is really showing and he could easily become the top heel. Therefore replacing Kurt.

Who would take Kurt Angles place and a possible retirement of Sting which I was right he ain't retiring from TNA! And Ric Flabby Flair being such an asshole and stubbornly refusing to sign with TNA because he is scared shitless of Angle and STING ,Booker T ,Scott Steiner and Kevin Nash! Seriously what is Flairs problem due to WWE and Vince McMahon and WWE, Flair has turned down numerous offers made to him by TNA
What is the point of working with Hogan and having his merchandise up for sale on the website and not Hogans and Flair left in bad terms with WWE and McMahon so when TNA offers lotsa money to Flabby Flair he should take it and shut up with it!

I really don't think TNA has Anyone who could replace Angle. I think TNA is going to be in huge trouble 2 years from now Nash, Sting, Steiner, and maybe Booker T will all be gone. The Main Event Mafia represents a fair amount of drawing power that TNA won't be able to replace. Will Angle stay with TNA under those conditions and will he want to carry the company solely on his shoulders?

Matt Morgan, Hernandez, Styles, and Joe are up and coming guys but they do not draw as well as Sting or the other veterens. TNA needs to ensure their future by bringing in higher profile WWE guys to supplement the younger guys. Making a huge push for guys like Kennedy, Mysterio, or Morrison in the near future is essential for TNA's health.

The obvious choice in terms of Top Spots would be A J Styles, Chrstopher Daniels and Samoa Joe.

I can see Matt Morgan becoming TNA World Champion at some point, but I can't see him being the TNA guy.

Same with Hernandez.

I think if I was to pick one guy though it would be A J Styles.

If Kurt Angle was to ever leave, there should be no problem filling their spots. People seem to think TNA is WCW. The difference is that in TNA, they've built up their young guys enough to the point that when a veteran leaves, they have young guys ready to fill their spot. They didn't have that in WCW. So to answer the question, Joe can be moved up a slot, Hernandez could be moved up much more, EY could be the new Angle. So much can happen.

But if Kurt Angle left TNA immediately, then the next best person to push would be Booker T. Booker T just like Angle is recognizable to casual and all wrestling fans, Booker T just like Angle has credentials, and Booker T is also a very well established vet like Angle. So if TNA needed someone with or near the status of Angle, then Booker would be the next best thing in line. Now can you dig that??!!

Can you please explain to me how Hernandez is booked wrong because this makes 0 sense to me and you really have me scratching my head. :wtf:

AJ Styles with Daniels and Joe a very distant 2nd and 3rd. Nobody will come close to filling either Angle or Stings' void in TNA but AJ is the best choice to be the face of the company. He's been around forever it seems now and has held what every title there multiple times now? He's amazing in the ring and on the mic and can make anyone look great. Nobody else comes close.

Angle plays a number of roles. His name is a commodity, especially to WWE fans and ex-fans. He wrestles quality matches with anyone, I love his promos, and he is the go-to champion.

In order, with Angle gone, Foley would be more important, as someone WWE fans and ex-fans know and believe in. I can't think of anyone else available from WWE that screams "good TV."

For awesome matches, AJ Styles would be the guy stepping up. Daniels is pushing 40 himself, remember.

Angle's promos are the least important part of the package. Moving on.

Without Angle, I think the "default champion" (i.e. oh no our champ has an injury we need to move the belt quick) would be Samoa Joe.

As for STing, between Foley, Nash, Steiner, Angle, Booker and Jarrett, plus Flair, RVD, JBL and even Scott Hall, TNA has plenty of guys who can fill the "hall-of-fame champion giving it one last run" spot. If I were TNA, I would start figuring out how to rotate those guys in for 4-6 month runs and have maybe 2-3 at a time actively on TV.

Like has been said above, Angle plays a number of roles, that unfortunatelly I don't see anyone being able to take all at once.

He is a great worker, he can cut good promos and like it or not, has become the TNA guy, more so than any other guy (like AJ or Smoa Joe).

If he is to leave, TNA might really have a hard time replacing him because to be quite honest none (not even AJ or Samoa Joe) has the Combo of Charisma/Ability/Adaptability Angle has. I mean, I have hear people say Joe can be a better ring worker than Angle, also AJ, I won't argue that but in the picture, Angle has more going on thant them.

I f TNA knows Angle is going to leave, they should really worry and work hard to promote (Like someone else said here before) and elevate the Next TNA guy, whoever that be like there is no tomorrow.

And also don't bring someone old back, sorry about Flair or Hogan bu they are not the solution to the issue, I mean, they willl be a quick fix, but once the Nostalgia wears down TNA will go back to normal. Sorry but is not the same if AJ defeated a 40 years old Hogan than a 60 years old Hogan.

I've never seen Kurt Angle as the face of the company, so the easy, and right, answer is AJ Styles. He's among the best in the business right now, and is well on his way to being among the best ever, no matter what company he works for. He's got the babyface personality naturally, and his promos are good, whether he's trying to be funny, trying to be serious, or having a simple conversation. His matches are routinely better than anything you ever see in TNA, and better than just about anything WWE has put forth for a few years.

Outside of AJ Styles, the future of the company lies in guys like Robert Roode. His promos are always spot-on, and he's a great worker. Add in that he can work in a tag team for an extended period, and you have the makings of a star.

I think if Kurt and Sting both left at the same time, it wouldn't really hurt TNA that much. It'd give them a chance to elevate the new stars, MCMG, Lethal Consquences, etcetc. I think AJ Styles of course is the obvious choice, but I wouldn't be too disappointed if Matt Morgan was the replacement.
