I Quit Match: Jeff Hardy vs. Matt Hardy

Edge recently started using the sharpshooter and i think he beat kofi kingston with it on SD b4 mania. but it seems that edge has stopped using that move now, so i wonder if they stopped it to give one the hardy's the move. I dont kno if this has been done b4, sum1 not using a certain move to let it become sum1 elses signature/finisher but i just thought id note this

I Quit doesn't necessarily mean a submission match. The Rock vs Mick Foley was anything but. It just needs to be brutal which this match will be. And Jeff needs to win this one. A face doesn't quit, or if they do they have to be screwed a la Foley against The Rock. Jeff wins after suffering a lot of punishment and it ends with a Swanton off the ladder. Matt can then go off with enough credibility from his 'Mania win into an upper mid card Raw feud and Jeff can carry his momentum into a feud with Jericho or Edge.

dude, fuckin right. I can see this as being the match were matt loses finally. This fucker should be crazy. hopefully. Thats what I said about the WM match, and it ended up being about as extreme as a fucking nursery ryme. Hopefully they realize the full potential here. I see Jeffy winning, and Matt looking like coward scum. thats how it should go

Jeff will win this blow off match. They've split the Hardyz up in different brands and according to JR, the draft will take full effect after Backlash where the rosters will be more defined and confined to their wrestlers. This should be the last of the Hardy matches.

Matt shouldn't win considering he's the heel and already had two back to back wins, if he was to win another one it wouldn't be good for Jeff. Jeff needs this win here to end the feud once and for all since he's the face. We should see a couple big spots here and I expect to see quite a few weapons used. Jeff saying "I quit" wouldn't be right since he isn't the heel and Matt Hardy has been a somewhat cowardly heel and would make sense for a coward to say "I quit". Jeff wins here and the feud is over and both move on to better things.

Well, their match at Wrestlemania was very good. It just wasn't given enough time to develop into a true classic. 13 minutes isn't a lot of time. But anyway, this match here should be awesome. I might actually consider watching Backlash tomorrow (Australia time). I'm a huge fan of both of these guys, and I always have been. Jeff is hated because he does too many spots, but once you look past that, the guy is one of the most entertaining superstars in the entire company, and not only because he is prepared to lay his body on the line in the most extreme ways.

Matt Hardy on the other hand, is probably the most underrated superstar of the current WWE roster. I've always been a huge fan of this guy, and he gets a decent match out of almost anyone. I sometimes see a little bit of Chris Benoit in this guy. The match should be insane and it should be a definitive end to this long feud, that realistically started in November last year at Survivor Series. The match result is once again unpredictable. People think Jeff Hardy will win this as it makes sense for the babyface to get the final victory in a feud with his own brother.

I think outside the box though. Jeff Hardy is basically already a credible main eventer, and a former WWE Champion. Matt Hardy is a solid upper mid-carder, who is going to get a big push on Raw this year. Outside of Randy Orton and the Big Show, Matt is the next top heel on Raw. This guy is bound to get a main event push, this year. So why not assist him by having him win this match, and this feud in general? Plus if the rumors are true, Jeff Hardy may leave the WWE this year. So, I think it makes much more sense to give the victory to the more loyal Hardy, and the Hardy that is definately set for a big push this year, on the flagship show.

This is probably the match that I'm looking forward to the most, maybe. The Last Man Standing match looks promising. I thought their match at Mania under whelmed, but I'm still hoping against hpoe that the I Quit stipulation will add a whole new dimension to this.

The interesting thing here, neither man has a submission move in their arsenals. So taht means we're either going to see them utilize a new move, or they are going to beat the holy hell out of each other. This should be an amazing and intense match, and I really have no idea who will win due to the rumors surrounding Jeff Hardy and his WWE Future.

wow, this was somehow worse than Mania. possibly one of the worst matches ive ever seen. Just...odd. Not really any spots...I guess they were kinda going for a ground based mat match, but it just amounted to them generally laying around and doing nothing. then a positively odd spot that took WAY too long to set up to finish the match. Probably the worst "I quit" match ever.

Grade: D-

Yeah in agreement on the ending. It took forever to set up and just killed any heat of Matt's dead. It also was boardering on sexual overtones for a few seconds, which just didn't do it for me in this case. These two should have had the LMS match instead, as with that stipulation and the drive Cena and Edge had, it could have been a MOTY candidate. This one still is, just the other way around.

I fail to see how this macth was any bad. I just watched it and the wrestling was solid ( for the Hardy's anyways) and there weren't too many spots which is also good. I was actually happy with the match. The only stupid thing with the match was the ending, it was a horrible ending. It just took forever and it sorta felt like Matt was going to turn face when he said me and you can be the Hardy boys again. To me it just felt like Matt lost everything as a heel. I didn't see it as cowardness I saw it as being sorry. But overall the match was pretty decnt. I would probably give it 6.5( or 7)/10.
