How would you end the Pokemon Anime?

Richard

Mid-Card Championship Winner
It's been a long time since I've made any sort of post/appearance on WZ but this is something I've been thinking about for a while.

How would you end the Pokemon anime series?

I've read that report someone wrote about how the whole series is just in Ash's subconscious and he's in a coma but we all know that's not true as there are a few flaws in the 'report' so I am not going to talk about that.

I think the anime should end with Ash returning to Kanto and re-challenging the original Pokemon League since he couldn't win it the first time around and have a final battle with the Pokemon League champion of Kanto being Gary. Gary was Ash's initial main rival and I believe the anime should finish with Ash having a defining win over Gary and conquering the Kanto Pokemon League. It makes sense for that to happen I think.

What does everyone else think?

Does it really have to end? :(
Best Anime Ever, at least the first two or three seasons were.

I don't really have any idea, how that should end, but I definitely want to see Ash being The Champion, he only wins Gyms, and even that he loses a lot of times, which is too much since he is the main character.
Before the end of the anime, I want to see him reunitng with Charizard, Squirtle and Balbasaur and hoping that at least Squirtle already evolved.

Ash vs Gary is a freaking dream match to every Pokemon Fan

I like the anime, and I don't want it to end...

I don't know, I've always kinda like the coma theory...

But in seriousness, leading up to the final episode, I would have Ash compete in a tournament with champions from different leagues. I'm talking about people like Lance, Steven, Cynthia, and Alder. Then once Ash beats all of them, it's revealed that Gary stopped his quest to become a Pokemon Professor, and was Ash's final opponent. Now as we know, Ash doesn't exactly use many fully evolved Pokemon. So Gary would have all these legendaries and extremely powerful Pokemon. I can imagine his team being something like Blastoise, Genesect, Typhlosion, Froslass, Groudon, and Alakazam. Ash and Gary have a battle for the ages, and both are down to their final Pokemon -- Much to Gary's surprise. In the end, it comes down to Genesect and Pikachu. Pikachu gets Genesect to a very weakened state, but then Genesect uses a Techno Blaster out of nowhere, defeating Pikachu. Ash is heartbroken, but yet he is being cheered as if he won. Gary walks up to him and says, "You have taken me to my very limits. No other trainer has ever done that. You may not have beaten me, but you should still consider yourself to be... the very best." Ash cheers up, pumps his fist in the air, and with the crowd still cheering his name -- the scene fades to black amidst the cheers.

That's how I would end it.

The last season should end with Ash traveling with Brock & Misty in Kanto to compete in the Pokemon Master Tournement. During the season Ash & friends run into some old friends from the 1st 5 seasons. While traveling Misty tries to tell Ash something in private but something always ruins it (Team Rocket, old friends, pokemon, etc.) When Ash defeats Gary in the finals, Ash & Misty travel back to Pallet Town while Brock leaves to go to a Pokemon Docter school. Before he leaves he tells Misty "Now you can tell him your big secret Misty, cause I already know what the secret is." Misty is blushing while thinking "Brock knows my secret? How long has he known?" Ash, being the clueless person he is has no idea what Brock meant and ask Misty what he meant. Misty still blushing says its nothing. When they make it back to Pallet Town Misty at long last tells Ash her big secret....she tells him she loves him and kisses him as the sun sets.

To tie up lose ends heres what I think shoupd happen to the others:

Team Rocket: Jesse leaves to compete in Pokemon contest's, James leaves to take care of his family, & Meowth...to be honest I can't think of a thing of what happens to Meowth.

May: Competes in more Pokemon contest's.

Dawn: Same as May.

Max: Starts his Pokemon journey.

Gary: Becomes a Pokemon professor.

So, what do you think of my way of ending the series?

I loved the coma theory, even though it would disappoint a shitload of children that have been catching up with the latest Pokemon has offered them :lmao:.

It seems the perfect way to end the epic saga would be to take Ash back to where it all started, with the lineup that he had in Season 1 (or however they cut down the regions). But I don't think it should be a Tournament or anything. I believe Team Rocket should find a way to have taken over the entire region. Scenario:

Ash comes home to his region to find the place overrun by Rocket (when I say "overrun" I mean like SS Nazi style). Classic Good vs. Evil. Ash must bring in his strongest pokemon which in my opinion were the First Generation ones and seek a way to overthrow the empire like he did in the old Pokemon Red, Blue, and Yellow Gameboy Games (would be on the mark because the anime came from the games). Have him meet up with his rival, the veteran who is now studying pokemon Gary, and have them team up. Of course Brock should be featured, and Misty, but I don't think they should as much as they did in the first season.

Have the rivals take on Rocket and finally meet up with Giovanni. I don't recall Ash ever encountering Giovanni face to face, so that within itself should be perfect. Make those two fight it out for good, and then when all is right in the world have Ash face Gary one more time for old time's sake and then end the successful run of the Pokemon Franchise.

Wow, I typed more about Pokemon then I ever thought I would.

EDIT: Dammit now that I'm thinking about it how fucking cool would it be if Giovanni or someone similar finally laid to rest one of those old juvenile questions we always had in our minds:

Who is Ash Ketchum's father?

I think that they should at least have it continue into Generation 6 of pokemon and eventually have Ash go face the elite 4 with Gary as the champion

Then during the battle with Gary it should be a neck and neck battle that boils down to Ash's Pikachu (Whos been beaten down badly) Vs. Garys Blastoise (Who is 100% fresh)

Pikachu clearly about to lose says some pika-language stuff to ash and Ash seems to understand as he always does , Ash then says "Are you.... sure about this Pikachu?" and then Pikachu beaten and exhausted nods at ash and says "Piiiiika." and THEN! Ash pulls out a thunder stone from his bag and uses it on Pikachu! Pikachu FINALLY Freaking evolves into Raichu and then proceeds to whoop Blastoises' candy ass for the biggest win in Ash's career

In the final moments of the shows history closes with the narrarator talking about how Ash has become the greatest Pokemon trainer of all time while showing Ash and Raichu hugging in front of a gigantic trophy with Ash's friends and the crowd cheering behind him

I think that would be great

That would be epic except have the teams the same as when they faced at the johto league and sub in electivire and umbreon if they werent.Have it come down to Pikachu and Electivire. Then have Electivire use ThunderPunch and Pikachu use Volt Tackle. They collide and the dust settles. And both pokemon are out.THe Gary says Ash is the very best and the scene fades to black with the original theme song playing.

I'd end it by Ash catching the Pokemon he saw in the very first episode, using that to win the first tournament he entered, becoming a Pokemon master. Not against Gary, but against Richie, the guy that he lost to in the last 16.
