How about dual Kane's?

Clean cut suit wearing Kane when he's with The Authority.

Mask full red and black when he's reintroduced to The Wyatts.

No stupid backstage jokes concerning the two Kane's. Never even mention the two on tv just let it ride and let us the viewers wonder what's going on.

Why is Kanes with an apostrophe?

And because masked Kane removed the mask in front of the world and gave his services over to The Authority. We all know what he looks like and have known for a long time now. It would have no mystique and while it would leave viewers wondering why Corporate Kane and Red Machine Kane are getting so much screen time, I don't think it would be received positively. Especially if there are no offhanded jokes being made at the Superman angle Kane would be pulling.

Besides, The Corporate Kane angle is a good break away from the ring, and lets other superstars have screen time.

Keep Kane as he is right now...it's a fresh charector for him and he's doing a fine job.

Besides that, it also gives Kane more of a break from in-ring stuff. Kane's still in great shape, the guy can allegedly bench press 525 pounds, and he's still able to go. At the same time, he's also 46 years old, so maybe the wear & tear of the business is starting to creep up on him.

WWE did this once upon a time with The Undertaker back in 1994 after he was "killed" in the Royal Rumble during his casket match against Yokozuna, in which half the locker room emptied out and eventually managed to beat Taker down. Ted DiBiase, eventually, would bring out The Undertaker, who was really Brian Lee, with the storyline being that Taker had abandoned Paul Bearer and the urn for DiBiase's money. To Lee's credit, he did look & sound a helluva lot like Mark Callaway. The build & mystique surrounding the match was pretty interesting, though I thought the match sucked.

That sort of angle with Kane would never work in this day & age. Even back in 1994, it was a little on the hokey side, but the IWC would flat out gang rape WWE over doing such an angle in this day & age. There'd be no sense of mystique surrounding it now, thanks to the internet, and, personally, it doesn't sound all that interesting.

Kane, AKA Glen Jacobs, is a good big man that's always worked his ass off and done his best. However, at the end of the day, he'll always be in Taker's shadow since his overall gimmick has been so thoroughly intertwined with Taker. Rehashing this angle with Kane all but comes right out and says that Kane is a poor man's Undertaker.

I like this only because of how much it would creep me out. If the commentators and the superstars never made mention to the fact that clearly Kane is having some sort of unexplained identity crisis, it would be bizarre. Viewers would be confused about it all for a while too. Not so much that they'd think that they're 2 different Kanes but instead they'd be confused because they wouldn't know why he's playing 2 different characters and no mention of it is being made.

It's so idiotic yet so genius. That shit's genuinely weird and creepy. This is a dumb thread but I think it's one of those rare cases where something cool came out of something stupid. Kinda like if you think about Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

In terms of a fake Kane angle, they already did that. In 2005, when Kane was in his no mask/no shirt phase, they brought in Drew Hankinson(later known as Festus/Luke Gallows) to impersonate Kane in his original full body suit and mask character, complete with his old music. There was no IWC gang rape, but the crowds really couldn't care less, and after a few weeks real Kane unceremoniously demasked Imposter Kane, threw him out of the building, and he was never seen or heard from again.

Of course, having one person play two characters simultaneously is a whole different animal. And it would be...odd. Especially if there was no mention from announcers or anybody backstage. I don't know what the point would be. I like the fact that Kane, as Director of Operations, always has his mask in the background, just looming over everything, with the occasional threats (like to Brad Maddox) to unleashed the monster once again. It's a really unique spin on the old Authority Figure gimmick. I really have no idea where they would go with either character if he was playing both at the same time.

I think it would be a pretty good idea the Kane character had had so many transformations over the years both in appearance and personality that I think it would be fairly easy for him to pull off a schizophrenia type angle.there could be corporate Kane and masked Kane acting like two different people if done well it could be a good storyline I reckon .

I do like this idea it, perhaps it could go on for a few weeks where no one is saying anything about the 2 kanes, but then have the masked Kane start taking out more people back stage and appearing in ring during matches. Then have the suited Kane denying everything when people start questioning him about it and treating everybody like they are the ones with mental problems.

or even better, they could explain why Kane is now supportive of the man who fucked his dead girlfriends dead body back in 2002. Katie Vick anybody?????????????

A few off you nailed the point behind the idea. Kane as the Big Red Machine doesn't have to wrestle so he's still "taking time off". This idea just has the red and black masked Kane accompanying The Wyatts. Meanwhile the suit Mr.Kane works for The Authority. No ending to the story. No dual personality. No who is under the mask. Just two different Kane characters.

That would be interesting, especially since his mask has been in the background of his promos the past couple of weeks.

The comparisons made to the Parks/Aybss storyline on TNA would be strong around here.

But the abortion that storyline was is exactly the reason the E shouldn't do anything even close to similar. It was a constant clusterfuck.

@HereComesthePain, you beat me to the punch. I was on my way here to mention the program going on in TNA with Joe Park/Abyss. The TNA version of this idea has been going on for a while now, having its ups and downs. I will give credit to Park, he has done a phenomenal job playing two characters.

As for the OP – The first time I read your idea I laughed it off but after giving it some thought you might have the beginnings to a decent program. I would highly suggest keeping Kane, in any form, away from the Wyatt Family. Neither party needs the other and pairing them together will ultimately do more harm than help. Begin with a series of mysterious backstage vandalisms; dressing rooms, property, vehicles getting trashed with no clue as to who the culprit(s) might be. End this phase of the program with a production truck being torched. Not sure if it is allowed under PG but maybe have a few staff members inside the truck narrowly escaping before a massive explosion. The next phase of the program sees the culprit(s) targeting the Super Stars of the WWE. The majority of the attacks would take place backstage off camera and the limited few taking place in-ring would be under complete darkness with the figure completely cloaked to avoid people at ringside snapping photos. During this point in the program Brad Maddox is assigned to directly oversee the investigation concerning these mysteries actions. Brad believes he has cracked the case when hidden camera captures the Kane mask disappearing from its case just before each of the criminal actions. This is where Authority Kane denies he has anything to do with attacks beginning the hints at an internal struggle with in. The attacks continue climaxing with Authority Kane being beaten down and eventually lit on fire. This signifies the end of this personality and the emergence of a new darker and sinister Kane. This Kane is not just a demonic monster but a leader. He then introduces the Ascension to the main roster.

The ground work for Kane struggling with duel personalities was laid out this past Monday when Stephanie scolded him for putting his hands on a Super Star. I know the actual reason behind it was to build the irony of Triple H eventually facing Punk but it works for the evolution of Kane’s character.

From the begging of this program I would frequently have the acts of vandalism and the attacks happen on NXT events. This would expand the possibilities of who the culprit(s) might be leading towards the reveal.

I am sure my scenario will bring up some comparisons between Kane/Ascension and the Wyatt Family. Aside from being dark figures they would be completely different in ideology. The Wyatt Family is more of a cult with the intent to convince others to see the harsh realities of the world through their eyes and understandings. They use violence as a means to an end. The Kane/Ascension alliance thrives on destruction. There is no talk of society’s ills or embracing their way of thinking. They simply exist to destroy and they do it very well.

I think Glen Jacobs should say that Kane is gone and this Is his cousin Isaac Yankem as that'd make it imo more believable. This could pan out kinda like the whole Joseph Park/Abyss TNA Line or the 4 Faces Of Foley yrs ago. This would be epic imo.

Stupidest thing since Katie Vick ....
TNA just finished doing an angle similar to this with Chris Parks. Parks is best known as Abyss, a cheap Kane rip off. For a while now he 'disappeared' and was being looked for by his brother, Joseph Parks who is supposedly an lawyer of some kind. Except there is no Joseph Parks, only Chris Parks. And it was terrible. And as other's mentioned, wwe already did the fake and double persona roles too often in the past. Hell they even brought in Kurt Angle's brother for a few events to take Kurt's place during various storylines.
Why would WWE rip themselves and a lesser product off of an idea that is well past it's time.
