Has WWE Blown It With Dolph Ziggler?

World title run? hardly call it that.

The problem is he has got nothing to do now because RTWM has started and he is needed in the EC, so im sure after that he will go into a legitimate feud after that. the problem is that there is not enough top faces that he can feud with, all the top faces have got there feuds setting up for mania. now who is DZ going to face at mania?

There isnt anyone so i think he will win MITB at mania, and he will have a big feud after that. maybe a short program with Foley as well, but im hoping he ditches Vicky, turns face and cashes it in on a Heel and loses the match ( its got to happen soon )

I think the BEST thing he can do is DROP Vickie like a hot potato !! SHE is the reason he is not doing so well.........she is causing him too much distraction. I also think the WWE needs to muzzle her, since there is no EXCUSE for her !!

Ziggler is not being buried at all. He is the heel. In fact he is #Heel. He is awesome inside the ring, the most athletic guy on the roster, his matches keep you entertained, he sells like a champ and much like Chris Jericho it doesn't matter if he loses 90% of his matches.

The promo where he stood up to Foley was incredible and he is wrestling Super-Orton, Super-Cena and Super-Punk week in week out. D-Bryan is lucky Ziggler isn't on SD!

Hmm let me think. I love this logic that most of you people on the IWC have. Once upon a time you loved to say don't build the guy up too, but now you all are constantly saying so and so and so blew it and are finished. Can you all make up your mind for once? I for one think that it is not over for him, drew, swagger, miz, or Cody. The WWE is simply building them up and giving them more time. Look at how much time it took for Bret, Shawn, Austin, and Jericho to become the top guys? They were built over a period of time and they simply had it! They knew that they could be counted on.

Look at Brock Lesnar, look at Bobby Lashley. Where are they at now? WWE threw them right into the light and now they're gone and hell neither one of them were talented for that matter.

Stop making a thread every week just because a wrestler doesn't win the title or has lost to someone.

And what's more, in typical IWC fashion had Dolph Ziggler won they'd all be crying "Punk is being buried and Super Ziggler is being shoved down our throats!" :banghead:

If there is one thing that the pro wrestling blogosphere can agree on these days it is that Dolph Ziggler is fantastic.

I think we can agree he's fantastic as a wrestler. As a personality, he's nothing out of the ordinary, although he has improved in recent months. Ironically, that progress on the mic is showing up at the same time he's being used as an "opponent" for some of the top guys.....and even one of the top women!

Many folks presume Dolph is being de-pushed, but I wonder if it's more that the company knew he wasn't a world class superstar and that the heights he's risen to are as far as they figured he'd go. Lots of fans assumed they were watching a future world champion, but perhaps management never saw it that way, at least at this juncture.

In other words, it's not as if WWE thinks Dolph has failed.......it's more they might believe he's reached his highest level already. Of course, that doesn't preclude a world title in the future, but the guy really needs a more dominant presence than he's displayed so far. Yes, he's arrogant and a show-off, but a pro wrestler doesn't necessarily need an aura to project that.....it's one of the reasons it's easier to play a heel than a face. Much of Dolph's "personality" comes from Vickie, and that's not a formula that makes a champion.

So no, I don't think WWE has blown it with Dolph, nor do I think he's blown it by himself. He's one of the fortunate people who've benefited from a monster push (wrestling on both brands, almost every week) and he's been luckier than most to have attained these heights at such a young age.

He's got a long career in front of him....no need to assume he's done because of his current path.

Nothing has been blown yet. Dolph is still in a good position, it's just Mania is so crowded and has come a little too soon for him.

I think what happens post-Mania when Rock, Triple H and Taker all disappear again will be key for his future. He's had two failed attempts to win the big one on PPV but I think his time will come by Summerslam.

Dolph Ziggler was on a right track when he was the US Champion. All of his matches were top notch and great. I think he started going downhill after WWE gave him the "Show off" gimmick (kind-of). His matches have become less entertaining and mediocre since he reached the main-event level. He isn't ready to main-event yet.

Also Its been too long since Vickie Guerrero has been on his side. Now its time to ditch Vickie and let Dolph Ziggler shine on his own.

I was dissapointed to how one sided his match at Royal Rumble was. He was pinned four times like you said, but also he is now pretty much out of the WWE Title picture. This week either Ziggler, Miz, Kofi or R-Truth needs to rise as the 3rd candidate in the EC who could possibly win the WWE Title. I think it looks to much like Y2J or Punk will win. With a 3rd guy in the mix, it'll make things really interesting.

I'm surprised more people weren't pissed with his match at the Royal Rumble. Punk basically beat him 3 or 4 times, which was a joke. That match was ridiculously over booked. If that was Cena instead of Punk people would be going crazy. :lmao:

Dolph came off looking like the third wheel. If that was the plan they should of used Miz instead. Or just had Laurnities vs Punk match.
