Has Wade Barrett's Window of Opportunity Closed?

I would actually love to see Sheamus wearing the crown, he could perch it on top of his mohawk. Frigging hilarious just thinking about it.

I have a question though about this whole KOTR. What exactly does Barrett get out of it? The way it see it, it's like the WWE patting him on the head for doing a good job. It really should take him out of the running for the MITB, so I'm not sure that winning this thing really did him any favours.

If you think abut it that way, everyone should have been trying to lose the tournament.

Well, I'm surprised Barrett came out as KOTR, but I think it's a good thing. In the past I wasn't really a fan of his work, even being a fellow Englishman with Barrett coming from a local town...but he's become more and more of a favourite of mine as time has passed.

I don't know why WWE had him losing all those matches as IC Champion if they were planning on having him win the KOTR- probably because bringing it back was a spur of the moment decision, but it can only be a good thing for Barrett that he was given the crown. Hopefully they go down the "King of Bad News route, and that this is finally the way Barrett breaks through to the main event.

In the past, the KOTR winner ended up with a title shot...is that still the case?

Bad News Barrett is just an example of the WWE wasting the talent of up and coming wrestlers. I think sometimes WWE kind of leaves the superstars to themselves rather than full develop successful story lines.
