Has Kofi's Steam run out?

I really can't say Kofi's steam has run out. Sure, he's no longer feuding with Orton, but he's on Smackdown (and occasionally Raw) every week, gets as big a pop as anyone on Smackdown, and consistently puts on entertaining matches the crowd really gets into. It probably also helps he's the little black dress of Smackdown. He's pretty much the only midcard face there right now, so he goes with everything. Kofi may not be headlining PPVs, but you can't really say someone as visible and popular as him has run out of steam. If you want someone who ran out of steam, look no further than Drew McIntyre, who went from huge IC push to hitting on Kelly Kelly as his main role.

It's on the verge of running out, but if they keep giving him good feuds with people like Masters, Regal, Rhodes or somebody else who is a believable character, that'll bide some time and keep his momentum going before the inevitable World Title push.

He had a pretty incredible run beat Jericho, won the IC strap, the US strap has a feud with Orton. He was in MITB matches, Elimination Chamber matches, his run looks promising. He has a tag match against Orton and then something goes wrong in the ring. He makes some mistake in the ring which causes Orton to scream, 'you're stupid, you're stupid', and the next few weeks he falls off and then he's moved to SD. He has the IC strap for a time and then loses it to Ziggler and now he just shows up from time to time. If that isn't a demotion, I have no idea what is. He could be much more and has solid support from the fans yet WWE will squander his ability and he'll be midcard for life. Wrong way to go with him personally. If you're not going to use in the midcard put him the tag division.

There are a number of guys on SD who aren't doing anything. Let him feud with them and let those guys rise up through the midcard and even the main event level. If left unchecked I think Kingston to end up on the released list.

Pure and simple; Kofi Kingston needs to turn heel. Kofi has no edge and honestly his "Jeff Hardy Spot Monkey Gimmick" can only get him so far. However, right now, he has nothing that'll stand him out to GET him to be a heel. Maybe he could start a feud with Teddy Long trying to get him a higher spot on the card; and then as Teddy throws tests in front of him; he'd snap. He could also get into a tag team with JTG and push both men towards a good mid card feud. Once Kofi loses; he could blame JTG and attack him elevating both men. That or Kofi could just make an impact on a face SD superstar like Edge stating he's tired of being back seat after his run on Raw. Either way, Kofi needs a gimmick change and quick.

He showed during the Orton feud that he can talk, yet he has had very little mic time recently and his matches are too patchy to get him to the next level on their own.
