I was watching Superstars on youtube earlier today and realized something quite important. Kofi Kingston has very good mic skills. Before his United States Title defense, he had a short interview with Josh Matthews and he was brilliant. He was talking about how a proper champ will defend their title against all-comers, and he was praising his two opponents, who are former U.S. Championships in their own rights.

I watch that promo that Kofi Kingston had with Josh Matthews and see that he's not that bad on the mic. I look back at his vignettes before his debut, another promo he cut as the Intercontinental Champion, and also a promo before a match against Big Show on Smackdown after Wrestlemania 25.

Now, WWE doesn't really let Kofi talk much, but he really knows how to talk. If WWE allows Kofi Kingston to talk more often before his matches, do you think he can improve and be put into the same category as Chris Jericho, The Rock, or Shawn Michaels? Or am I looking too much into it?

way too far into it, Kofi Kingston is an exciting wrestler to watch..

he is a good worker... but he will be mid-carder for life...
he just doesn't have a main eventer feel about him, the one that DiBiase Jr., Punk, Jeff and Harry Smith... they just feel like they should be World Champion eventually.

I Agree Kofi Just Doesnt Have The "look". Unfortunately Wrestling Abilities Or Mic Abilities Dont Seem To Matter That Much Anymore. Its The Same Old Boring Drab Names Week In Week Out. Not A Kofi Fan But I Would Love To See Him Or Any Of The Newer Younger Guys At Least In The Main Event Scene A Couple Times A Year It Would Definitely Freshen Things Up A Bit.

Yeah bro, I just watched the segment on youtube from last Thursday with Kofi. Great, great character. Clean and normal. His accent makes him unique, fresh, and different.

Kofi needs to get a little larger to be Vince's puppet though.

As for the actual main event on that episode of Superstars, what the fuck is Matt Hardy still doing in the U.S Championship scene? When will the WWE push him already (sigh).

I Dont Think Wwe Will Ever Push Matt To Be Honest, Which Sucks, Cuz In My Opinion He Is The Better Of The 2 Hardys. Unfortunately In Wwe They Seem To Like To Make A Habit Of Wasting Talent. Im Not Sayin That Some Of The Guys At The Top Dont Have Talent, Just Wwe Could Utilize What They Have A Lot Better. More Guys In The Title Hunts. Why Is It Always Just One Guy After The Champ? Why Cant There Be Several Guys After Him?? Give These Guys A Chance.

At first I couldn't stand Kofi, my thoughts were the guy is a joke, he's a circus act, but he grew on me. He can wrestle, granted he is a spot monkey liek Mysterio, but he can also use technical moves, his mic skills are good, not great, but good. He's young though and that's was awesome, a few more years and I think he will an amazing well rounded wrestler with a few more title wins under his belt. But probably only in the mid-card area, not as a main event superstar.

Kofi does have ECW champion written on all over him. Yes, his mic skills are solid, but his wrestling just overshines all of that. Kingston is a natural "face" with charisma that is unmatched right now in the WWE. I just wish the WWE would give him someone to feud with. Actually when he was in ECW with Shelton it was one of the more interesting feuds of that companies revived existence. Both of those men worked a great program with eachother. Then it was just dropped after the draft. He needs another program like that with someone. The question is who?

I think people have noticed however Kofi just hasnt been in a good Heel vs Face your Top Middle Card Rivalry yet so we havnt gotten to see it. I saw that interview and thought that it was very good I think its just a matter of time until he is put into a new Rivalry were he will be able to Cut Promos.
