It's now official! Roode vs. Aries one more time at Hardcore Justice! After Aries beat Roode at Destination X for the belt, Roode had his chance to get a rematch on Hardcore Justice but the interference by Aces and 8's didn't let either man to get the win on that match on IMPACT Wrestling.

So TNA management made this match for the belt at the next pay-per-view, on August 12. Who will win it?

The Questions:

  1. Will Austin Aries be able to retain his belt?
  2. Will someone help Roode to regain his title?
  3. Will Ace and 8's be a factor at this title match?
  4. What will be the stipulation for the match?

1- I think Aries will get involved in an angle with someone like Angle or Styles on television or PPV backstage or inside the ring. That wrestler will cost Aries the title match later at night thus causing him to lose and setting up a feud and a match between the two at Bound for Glory. This can be a smart way to turn Angle or Styles into a heel.

2- Roode may win the world title match by his typical heel tactics but that again means that Aries will look stupid if he does not ask for a world title rematch over that. But again Aries is not going to win it back.

3- I don't see Ace and 8's attacking Roode and Aries again.

4- The match will be a street fight.

1.Yes.. it'd be a huge mistake for TNA to make him lose it this soon,
2.No...
3.No. I can't imagine they'd make them ruin another Roode/Aries match. What would be the point? They're not the targets, Aces & 8s are just attacking everyone.
4.I'm gonna say 2/3 falls...I hope

Am I the only one who doesn't lick A-Double's pooper? Yes hes a great wrestler but him beating Roode for the title in the fashion he did seemed awful to me because even if Roode does win it back that record breaking reign is over so the interest as to who and when Roode will lose to is gone.
Anyways Yes Aries will retain.
No.
Yes but they will be fought off.
Some stupid made up match which basically means anything goes.

Will Austin Aries be able to retain his belt?

I think he will retain due to Ace's and 8's interference. I don't think they will take the belt away from him this soon.

Will someone help Roode to regain his title?

No, I do not think Roode will get the title back here.

Will Ace and 8's be a factor at this title match?

Yes, I think they will interfere, and Aries will be able to win the match after their interference.

What will be the stipulation for the match?

I think this match will be some sort of street fight. Something to make it no dq no count out.

1.Will Austin Aries be able to retain his belt?
Nope. He'll drop the title back to Roode just like Lex did with Hulk back in WCW. It's just a quick change up to get the fans thinking that the title can change unexpectedly instead of just waiting for James Storm to take the belt at BFG. Pretty good job since people believe Aries is going to hold the belt for a long time but I can't see it going past here, nice job by TNA though.

2.Will someone help Roode to regain his title?
Those guys who attack everyone will probably show up and cause mayhem. Since it seems to be the thing going on in the company I would find it really stupid for them not to push the big angle during a PPV and the main event.

3.Will Ace and 8's be a factor at this title match?
Ace like Johnny Ace? He will not be involved. He is signed with WWE silly.

4.What will be the stipulation for the match?
Probably a street fight. Something hardcore but easy enough for the bad guys to rush the ring and attack Aries and Roode. A cage would cause to much trouble since they would have to climb it, can't afford anyone hurting a leg or something like that.

I personally believe Bobby Roode will become a bigger heel if he wins the title at Hardcore Justice through cheating or outside help of his own.

That will also make the fans believe Roode as a bigger heel then he was before.

Look at that photo man... these two have come a loooong way... THESE are main eventers! Almost makes me wanna cry lol

Anyway I have no doubt these two once again will put on a great match, but one has to wonder how it will play out, this is a tough one... I think Roode will win, but I'm actually okay with it playing out either way, which is rare for me with a main event match especially when a title is concerned!

The obvious choice for closing the show. TNA did a good job of hyping the match this week and now I am excited to see it! While I'm still surprised that they went ahead and made Aries the champion so soon, I'm glad he is in that role. What he did for the X Division he can do for the main event scene as well. Roode had his run, he's not getting the belt back. This is a way to get him out of the world title angles for a while so Aries' reign can continue for a bit. He needs a strong retention in this match to help further build his credibility as TNA World Champion.

Roode winning would make Aries' win almost meaningless. I hate when someone has a short reign only to lose the belt back to the person they defeated to win it from in the first place. TNA will hopefully not make that mistake with Aries after his brilliant X Division Championship run. Anyways, the match should be one of the better matches of the night, possibly the best other than the Ladder and Tables matches. I'm not sure who Aries' next title feud will be, but I see him winning this match. Both guys have plenty of other options for where they move on to next, it will be interesting to find out what happens.

DAGGER'S PREDICTION
Austin Aries will retain the TNA World Championship

I agree with Dagger. It wouldn't make sense at all for TNA to have Aries, who is on such a roll right now, lose the title back to the guy he beat only last month. It would be very damaging to A Double for that to happen.

Roode is awesome, but he won't be winning here. He has been the champion for a good run, and its probably time to have someone else in the title scene challenging Aries after this, with Roode moving on to another feud. Aries and The It Factor will give us a great match here, it could be a definite show-stealer of a main event, but I'm pretty confident we won't see a title change.

Winner: Austin Aries

First off I love how people wrote Roode off. To me it's more him as the Aces and Eights than ever.. why else would he point the finger of blame at someone else?

Anyways... I'm not sure how this one could go. TNA might have given Aries a short little feel good run, but I think he's going onto BFG to have a world class match with either AJ Styles, Kurt Angle, or Samoa Joe.

I'm going to have give Aries the win. However watch out for a cheap win from Roode, especially with the ruling that neither of them will get a rematch.

I'm in a very weird place with this match. On the one hand, I think losing the Championship so quickly after winning it for the first time would hurt irreparably hurt Aries in the long and short term. Then again, I thought the same thing with CM Punk, and he did just fine for himself later on down the line. On the other other hand, I really like Bobby Roode. He's got one of the best defined characters in the business today, and I honestly believe he never should have lost the title to Aries in the first place. Not at Destination X; not like that. I wanted that moment when he finally lost it to be bigger, for it to mean more. The way they built it was great, and the eventual win for Aries was a mark-out moment for a lot of people - I was definitely excited! But now with five episodes of Imapct Wrestling under a belt with Austin Aries as the TNA World Heavyweight Champion, I'm not convinced he can carry the belt, or the TNA product with as much conviction - hell, as much raw entertainment as Bobby Roode did.

So do I want Aries to win? Yeeeaah? Ish? Do I think he should? Probably? Ish? Bobby Roode in the main event of BFG was a bigger draw; I'll fight that battle to the death. Don't make the mistake of thinking cheers = tickets sold; absolute heel hatred can do just as much, if not more. Folks might have lined up in two months to see Roode FINALLY get beat, whether it be by a better built-up Austin Aries or the revenge-seeking James Storm. I would have actually shelled out the cash for a TNA PPV to see that match. Now what are we looking forward to? Austin Aries vs.... Bully Ray? I guess. Not exactly what I had in mind though, and not something I'm going to spend money on.

But should Roode win back the title? Probably not; not immediately anyways. The lose hurt him big, as once you stop a lengthy, dominant title reign you can't really get that same momentum back from a single win. It would take months to build Roode back up to that level of heel heat as the Champion; we don't have that kind of time until BFG. Nobody can really win in this situation, unless TNA pulls something out of left field that DOESN'T completely suck. I'd be stunned.
