Pre-Show Stalwart
So I've been doing these threads for awhile now and i figure why not start my own series (and if someone has done this im sorry i didnt see it when i typed it in)

So Why not start with the King of Kings himself,The Game, whatever you wanna call him I'm talking about HHH. a 13 time world/wwe champ, a real work horse and will go down as one of the top wrestlers. Leader and been in some of the top stables being Evolution, The Corporation,Two Man Power Trip and of course D-X.

But lets talk about His Wrestlemania matches:
From the Ultimate Warrior to The Undertaker, HHH has been in the ring with the best and put on a hell of a show. But as we know hes no Taker and hes lost his share of manias. In fact his record is 7-7 so lets I will list them and you pick what you believe is his best Mania match even if he lost

Wrestlemania 12-Ultimate Warrior vs HHH
Winner: Ultimate Warrior

Wrestlemania 13-HHH vs Goldust
Winner:HHH

Wrestlemania 14-HHH vs Owen Hart

Wrestlemania 25-For the WWE title Randy Orton vs HHH (c)

Wrestlemania 26- HHH vs Sheamus
Winner: HHH

So like i said hes had some big name matches and hasnt always come out on top but always stole the show...(except WM 26)

So give me your thought what do you believe is his greatest mania match ever even if he lost

And again if someone has already made this im sorry

i think wrestlemania 20 i really enjoyed this match and the build up to it aswell. That being said i enjoyed the match with sheamus aswell and i was quite shocked that he won that one.

I liked his match at WM 2000, WM X-Seven, WM XX...

The build to all 3 matches was just amazing..

Especially the triple thread match!! just an amzing night of wrestling as well..

His match against Taker is the best though, that was just brutal..the sledge hammer, HHH's best friend..played part in the fight a lot...

I'm going to go with WM17 against the Undertaker. This was Triple H at his peak. I loved the build for this match, espcially the promo that started the feud on Smackdown. This is what I love to see at main; a fresh match between to main event stars that have been around for years but rarely crossed paths before. This was a great fight. I was in attendance for it and the pop for the return of the tombstone was awesome.

WM20 is a close second. It was awesome to see Benoit make Triple H submit to win his first world title in the Garden. The IWC must have rejoiced that night.

I also feel that WM19 against Booker T is very underrated.

The 'taker V HHH match at Wrestlemania 17.
It was an awesome match. I remember watching it and getting goosebumps just because they are both such amazing superstars.

Triple H is gonna have to do a lot to top WrestleMania X7 and I dont think he will. A straight up match with Shawn could have, but the Triple Threat as good as it was an even Cena/HHH doesnt come close. The Orton/HHH storyline was his greatest lead to Mania but the match couldve been better

HHH/Taker tore down the house and that match was badass, brutal & kick-ass

they went all over the place.

Triple H vs. Undertaker- WrestleMania X-Seven

Everything about the match screamed epic. Motorhead playing Triple H to the ring, Stephanie McMahon wasn't at ringside to interfere, and Undertaker's bad ass entrance with the motorcycle (how fast was he going?) before the match gave you the impression of a big match atmosphere. I actually liked the fact that the referee took the bump at the beginning few moments of the match to allow for the carnage that happened outside the ring. It was a great match to get the crowd riled up, and to be honest, I remember this match a little more fondly than the Austin-Rock match that followed.

When you look at Triple H's other matches, they are somewhat hit or miss in terms of quality at WrestleMania. The Warrior match was a throwaway. The Kane match was atrocious in my opinion from WM XV. The Fatal Four Way at 2000 wasn't nearly as good as it was on paper. But of all the remaining matches, the WM X-Seven match has the most memories to me in terms of Triple H's presence at WrestleMania.

Triple H versus the Undertaker. Wrestlemania XVII. Triple H had not yet been injured and was healthy. Undertaker also was fairly healthy. Both men put on an excellent, back-and-forth match, with one not sure who was going to win. (Remember that this was before the streak was seen as 'the streak'.)

XX with Benoit hands down...sure the streak wasnt the streak yet, but everyone knew undertaker was still undefeated and the ending was very cliche to set up the last ride finisher...just the raw emotion and atmosphere when benoit had that crossface in...priceless...that match with orton and undertaker at 21 are two of my favorite WM matches

Whilst I really liked the taker match i'm going to have to go for the benoit/hbk triple threat. Lots of actions, lots of blood and HHH tapped out in the centre of the ring to Benoit. After all the "marrying into the business" stuff he really earned my respect after that. Another reason I put it above the taker match is that there was the spot at WM17 where taker chokeslammed him off the scaffold thing...but on to a mattress! I hate it when they do that!

Also, how come this post is in the RAW section? Shouldn't it be in the general WWE section?

I moved it here due to it being a thread about a RAW superstar.

My favorite Wrestlemania match with Triple H is a pretty torn thing.

I think of course I would be leaning towards Wrestlemania 20 because it both had Shawn involved and it was an overall great match. Definitely one of the better main event matches of Wrestlemania history.

But I however lean a little bit to Wrestlemania 22 as well. It got John Cena over great. While he was still a main event player. He was definitely stepping it up completely with this win. This was the stepping stone for John Cena. And it was a pretty good match actually. Very back and forth. I loved the entrances. Loved the crowd. The overall atmosphere for this match was just over the top.

Triple H vs. HBK vs. Chris Benoit for the World Title at Wrestlemania 20 will always be my favorite Triple H match. It's well known that the Game has a bit of an issue with putting people over, especially on the biggest stage of them all, Wrestlemania. But this match was something completely different. It will remain unforgettable, partially because of how legendary the finish was, and partially because off the situation surrounding Benoit's death.

No, Triple H didn't win, and he wasn't the best guy in the match, but it was the combined effort of all 3 of these guys that made it a Wrestlemania moment. Triple H was the champion, the King of Kings, and the Game. He was the top dog on Raw, and nobody was going to dethrone him. HBK was the Game's former best friend, and he was looking to re-realize "the boyhood dream". And Chris Benoit was the intense Royal Rumble winner that switched brands to go for the throne of the King of Kings. I remember nobody knowing who was going to walk away with the title. Triple H never lost at the big dance with the title on the line. Shawn Michaels hadn't been champion in a long time and the world was waiting for "one more time" for the Heart Break Kid. And Benoit had the Royal Rumble win, the main event credibility, and the hunger of a guy looking for his first World title win. And these three put on a match that lived up to all the hype. In the end Benoit walked away with the title, and stood in that ring with Eddie Guerrero and had one of the most memorable moments in wrestling history. Triple H wasn't a part of that, but he did drop the belt that night and nobody will ever forget that he was a part of it all.

If there was ever another Wrestlemania match that I liked completely because of Triple H, it would have been his match against the Undertaker. I haven't seen it in a long time, but I remember it being long and brutal, and both guys left everything they had in and around the ring. Again, the Undertaker was a big part of that match though.

I don't know that any of his matches were every memorable just because of him. Triple H works well with others though, so it's almost impossible to say that any one match was the best because of him. That being said, the WM 20 Triple Threat is my all time favorite Triple H, and probably WM moment.

I am going to have to say WrestleMania X-Seven was his greatest WrestleMania match , or rather, it is the most entertaining WrestleMania match that I have seen him compete in and although he eventually lost out to the Undertaker, it was a fabulous match that either man could have won.

All the way from the build to this match, this feud was done expertly. I believe it was Triple H who was exclaiming that he had beaten everyone that there was to beat and that no one was on his level. Although he may have played second fiddle to the Rock and Austin for a lot of his career at that stage, he had still accomplished a lot and people bought into it. Of course, The Undertaker corrected him and said that he hadn’t beaten him and a great feud was started. Both of these guys were fantastic talents at this stage and Triple H was an awesome heel. Of course, The Undertaker was going through his American Badass gimmick and it was really entertaining seeing these guys finally go at it.

The match itself was brilliant and it was a bit before the streak actually meant a huge deal. Realistically, The Undertaker was always going to win the match but watching it at the time, I really that Triple H might have stolen it. I have always been a Triple H mark and seeing him in this match against The Undertaker was really gratifying. The match went all over the arena and although Triple H was on the backfoot for most of the match, some of the spots in the match were incredible. I also remember then trailing through the fans too. To me, that is the best match at WrestleMania for Triple H.

Although many people, and rightly so, wax lyrical about WM 17, I'm gonna argue the case for the four-way at WM 2000 and be an awkward bastard. First off, it was the first time a heel world champion walked out of Wrestlemania still the champion and it was a big deal at the time. I remember watching that match and scratching my head, wondering what had happened. Backlash, Armageddon, hell... even Summerslam, but a heel retaining at Wrestlemania?!? I believe this helped pave the way for heels to win at WM as the next year, Austin turned and won the title and other heels retained at other Wrestlemanias such as 19 (HHH) and 24 (Orton).
Secondly, the heel turn at the end with Vince screwing Rock and joining forces with HHH and Steph. Again, today this seems like nothing but at Wrestlemania? Stunts like this weren't done at WM as the whole point was to send the audience home happy.
And finally, once Show was eliminated, Foley, HHH and Rock put on a solid display. It was fast paced but still kept you emotionally involved. Knowing Mick would have to retire if he failed to win, my heart broke when he was pinned.
Overall, It probably won't stand the test of time lime HHH's matches at WM 17 + XX, but I think it was a solid match that set about fundamental changes in the WWE with regards to what a heel could do. This match lead to a months long feud with The Rock and helped establish the McMahon-Helmsley faction and helped HHH cement himself as a top heel.

I gotta go with HHH/Y2J at Wrestlemania 18. I own the entire wrestlemania anthology and that is the one match i can watch over and over without it getting old. I loved how they involved Steph. Another thing, how badass was drowning pool doing Tear Away for the feud song? Anyways I'm goin with the classic Wrestlemania 18 match.

For me its the match at WM XX but with the match at X7 a very close second, the only thing that ruined the X7 match for me was that chokeslam off the technical area as someone mentioned earlier in the thread he landed on a matress, in my opinion they shouldnt have shown the impact ad just left it to our imaginations. Anyway the XX match is just awesome, you put 3 of the best ever in the ring at the same time and you know your gonna get something classic and thats just what we got.

weel seeing as most people were enthusing about the WM17 match, I just went and youtubed it. Pretty darned good match. I don't have much to compare to since i dont think i've seen any of the others, but the entrance to Motorhead, 'taker zooming down the ramp. Most entertaining stuff!

One question, who was commentating with JR? That was some GREAT commentry throughout the match

Balls!
