There have been many greats never to have had a decent title run. Whether they were given a short reign, or none at all, many greats have never been rewarded with a true title run (as WWE Champ or WHC).

The 3 people that stand out to me are Jimmy Snuka, Kane, and Andre the Giant.
Its a same that these three people have had a title reign last about a combined 24 hours, and 45 seconds.

Jimmy Snuka is regarded as one of the best ever, and he's never held any WWE gold of any kind. Andre the Giant was a superstar and was part of the single most famous wrestling moment of all time, he shouldn't have given the strap away after 45 seconds. And finally, Kane. He has been one of my favorites for a while and I think he has been underrated and deserves a run on Smackdown. Hasn't he earned it more than our current champ, the Great Khali. Kane has payed his dues and needs a belt for a few months.

So which wrestlers stand out in your mind as the best to never have a decent run as the WWE or World Heavyweight Champ.

How about the Hot Scot himself Rowdy Roddy Piper? The man that without, there woud have been no Hulkamania. How could this man, the greatest heel of his era and maybe of all time never have been a world's champion? I guess it was Vince's idea, as there weren't really that many heel champions from the beginning of Backlund's second run until Sgt. Slaughter with the exception of Macho being a tweener and then a heel champion for a few months and the month long reign of the iron sheik. And for that matter, how about The Mllion Dollar Man. Seing him with the belt on after andre handed it to him made me want to cry. How great a champion could he have been?

Razor Ramon/Scott Hall!!!! great technical wrester and damn good on the stick, and he was big enough. Nash got the runs when Hall was the better of the two, I hated it.

Ahh jeff hardy all the way (excluding his hardcore and tag team runs) jeff had a what 3 day IC title run? 6 years ago right? c'mon give the guy the world heavy weight or the WWE title that will actually make him a grand slam champion (same goes for Regal And Venis)

I think Rey should be given a longer title run, when he is in good wrestling condition, but that is unlikely to happen, due to the constant cutting down of his size. There are little who work as hard as he does, and have the passion he does, I dont know how people sit there and say he doesnt "deserve to be champ" or "isnt championship material". Well other than him, I would really like to see Punk get the run he deserves, after he has a little more experience of course. Im also glad to see Nitro get a decent title push. Despite his gayboy character, he is a hard worker and a hell of a performer, and also one of the less scandelous superstars....anyways if you disagree with anything i said, its all good just my opinion, I hope it counts.:)

Have to go with RVD he only had a 2 month run with the belt and has all the tools, and was always a fan favorite. Another one that sticks out is Christian he should of beat Cena for the strap and had a long feud with him instead they sent him to smackdown then he left for TNA and finally one the belt with the wrong company.

ive gotta go with a few guys one is razor ramon aka scott hall he had decent promos good wrestling moves and a great amount of fan fare...great heel or face. ted dibiase million dollar man was also great he was one of the best heels of any era. RVD defintely culda had a longer title reign as stated above. Matt hardy i beleive shuld be the one pushes out of the 2 hardys i think jeffs heart isnt all the way in and i be;eive his skill is not wat every1 makes it out to be. Carlito shuld be pushed harder and kane shouldv defintely got the title over khali, kane is dedicated educated and a good worker.

Are you serious? I mean damn Jeff Hardy? What about Matt? There are a lot more deserving guys then either or thoes spot-aholics.. There nothing but spot monkeys and there is no way either of tem should ever get a heavyweight title.

With that said how about Curt Henning? Damn good wrestler, a great heel and could work one hell of a mic. He had all the tools except for maybe the look, he was never that big but nor was Flair.

Also, Rick Rude... had the look, was somone people loved to hate, decent wrestler and was ok on the mic. People used to love to hate Rick Rude.

And I'm goint to throw in Owen Hart. I think if he wouldn't have died he would have gotten a title run but he never got one so he is going in here. The guys was a high flyer before it was cool, he was an awesome mat technican and an overall awesome wrestler and he could draw tons of heat on the mic too..

I have to say Ted DiBiase would of been a great Champion and deserved a run - were he big in this time, he'd be a multiple Champion. I still think they should bring him back to manage Chris Masters, and slap the Million Dollar Title of the Masterpeice. Instant top-class heel and would have so much of the correct-kind of heat.

kane in my opnion, an the true giant, andre the giant. also roddy pipper. he were so good and had some good fueds but never made it to the top of the tower. It is a true shame that they keep true greats and hall of famers in the gutter, but give belts to people with no talent and can only get over wi 10 yr old kids *cough*cena*cough*

I definately agree with everybody that Ted Dibiase, Roddy Piper, and my all time favorite wrestler, Mr. Perfect Curt Henning would have made great world champs. They were all very over and pretty solid in the ring.

One person that I don't think anybody mentioned was Jake the Snake Roberts. He was good in the ring, amazing on the mic, and had ring psychology mastered. I think he would have made a hell of a champion, even though I don't even remember him getting a shot at the title in the WWF/E.

Well up until he won the NWA Heavyweight Championship I would of said Christian, He entertains me a hell of a lot, He as great talent both in the ring and out, but for some reason was always being held back from the main event scene in the WWE most probably the fact that fact he’s not roid’d up to his tits. And the WWE tends to prefer guys like that, I have never understood why. Anyway seen as he as now been a NWA Heavyweight Champion a couple of times I guess he doesn't count, right?

So I will probably go for Curt Henning or Kane although he held the title it was only for day.

The undertaker has never had a long world title run. he was to have a long title run but he got injured.

Without a doubt Razor Ramon has to be mentioned. From a time of 1993 to early 1996 he was intercontinetal champ or in the mix and was more over than the heavyweight champ who ever it was.

how bout jerry lawler..I know his best wrestling days were before he came to the wwe, but I can say that about a bunch of wrestlers. He still put on a pretty good fued with bret hart and I always felt they didn't use him enough. No one could cut a promo like the king back in memphis and IMO they could've given him a title run. hell, if khali can be champ, anybody can hold the belt!!

How could i forget Razor :).. I officially add Razor to my list lol

Val Venis. Val Venis is the best ever! I mean, how many people can say they main evented heat every night! Not Jake the Snake thats for sure. Val Venis IS RAW!!!!

...HEAT!!!!

Ha, that's some funny shit right there dude. Scott Hall is definately my number one. Hell of a a wrestler and a fan favorite. I don't understand why he was never pushed and had to spend his WCW days in Kevin Nash's shadow, as being the other Outsider. Also, I would've liked for Chris Jericho to have had either a longer Undisputed Championship run or a WWE Championship run before he left. Another a great wrestler and fan favorite who deserved more.

I think that you people concentrate too much on WWE with this one. The one wrestler who you guys may never mention who woul dhave been a kick ass rugged champ would have been Double A, Arn Anderson. He could cut promos and had a manly look in his prime with the whole hairy chest and stuff. Only problem was that as long as Flair was the main guy, Arn would always be his sidekick. :-(

Whoever said the Hardy's didn't deserve jack was a moron, Matt has more in ring talent then anyone on Smackdown. Either of them would be good though.

Kane should get it as a sign of respect for his tenure with the company.

Others: Arn Anderson, Piper, Mr. Perfect, and I haven't seen this one put out there yet: Davey Boy Smith. After that feud with Hart over the IC title, he had world champion written all over him.

if we are talking about heavyweight gold i believe Mr perfect.... he did have the longest reign of the Intercontinental championship in the 90's and was a former awa heavyweight champion. but he never held heavyweight gold in wwe or wwf and evertthing this guy did was perfect..he was a good athlete and i loved his lil videos of him shooting basketball or throwing his shirt in the air....everything was "Perfect"... he deserved to have heavyweight gold....he was that good..

What about Foley. Sure he's not the greatest, but he was great back in the attitude era. I loved his feud with Rock. He should have deserved a decent reign, all 3 of his reigns put together don't even add up to one month.

Number one pic? RON SIMMONS, FAAROOQ! He was a smashmouth wrestler, and had payed his dues, about 15 years ago, actually. But, the moment JBL won the WWE Championship (Or the moment I realized who JBL was), I was thinking in the back of my mind "The greatest championship match of all time, Faarooq vs. Bradshaw". But, nope. Instead, guess who they gave it to. Blehh.

Well Ron Simmons held the WCW World Heavyweight Title for five months, doesn't that mean he has had a proper run as a world Champ. So saying he hasn't had a Proper world Title run is stupid. Do your research next time before making a stupid point.

Andre & DiBiase in my opinion are the top 2. After that Perfect, Davey Boy, Rick Rude, and possibly Jake the Snake, Owen Hart, Dynamite Kid, Jeff Hardy & Jimmy Snuka...

But without a doubt Andre has to be the biggest name without a title run. And DiBiase comes in a close 2nd. Perfect/DiBiase/Davey Boy's characters didn't suit a World Title run, I think they did deserve it. Jake/Owen/Dynamite/Hardy/Snuka all deserve praise there excellent work in the ring and deserved more then they got.
