Good Job Michael "Free Basing" Hayes

I'm in shock actually that Mark Henry was offended by that. Really? Most black people I know wouldn't take offense to that, because Hayes didn't call Henry a nigger, he said he was more of one then him. No one here has ever gotten wasted and made a racist joke? Really? Are you kidding me? Please. Step off the high horses gentlemen.

I'm not even slightly racist, and despise true racists of all kinds. But this sounds to me like Hayes got drunk and made a bad joke. What a monster.

Has no one ever heard of dark humor? Really?

I'm not condoning racism, and if one person responds in such a way, they can go fuck themselves.

Should Hayes have gotten punished? Yeah, definately. But 60 days? That's ridiculious. One bad joke and he's out of a paycheck for two monthes? Even if you hate Michael Hayes you have to see the absurdity in this.

There's a difference between joking around and bullshitting with people in your private life, and doing something in your professional life. It doesn't matter if they were out drinking or whatever it will become. Hayes is a superior to Mark Henry, and to use the word N*gger in reference to him in anyway shape or form, is not a good thing.

Any other fortune 500 company would have shown Hayes the door. I get what you're saying, but again, Hayes is a superior, and Mark Henry is a worker for him.

First off, I personally don't think that Michael Hayes is a racist. Both Booker T and Bobby Lashley held titles while he was head booker on Smackdown. I think the comment he made to Mark Henry was an example of alcohal indueced stupidity. Even if he apoligised to Henry for what he said alot of people may have lost respect for him, especially any of the black wrestlers in WWE. Some people may not feel comfortable working with him anymore so I think it would be best if he never came back. Also it will be interesting to see how Smackdown fares without him.

Both of those guys left the WWE with a stigma of racism attached to their departures as well.

And for the Bolded, you mean year long feuds that have multiple pay off matches and ending points, yet the company drags them on because creative has nothing new for them (Batista vs. Taker 20 times, MVP vs. Matt Hardy since June) The death of the cruiserweight division?

as a superior it's more important that he didn't ruin the relationship. why would any black wrestler want to work with Hayes. In the former Exclusive section, I asked Konnan about racism, and the guy said if the likes of that had been said to Killings or Booker T, they'd have been less forgiving, drunken incidence or not.

Innocent comment it may have been, the fact is, you can't say stuff and expect it not to have consequences, especially when it's a racial slur

What Shocky said is right, for a company that is as high profile as WWE, he is lucky he didnt get straight up fired for something like that. Sexual harassment/racism is NOT shit that gets taken lightly at all, whatsoever, especially when there has been murmurings of this kind of shit before. He is damn lucky he wasnt made an example out of. And yea X, of course all of us have probably said "racist" shit joking around, but DAMN SURE not to someone we WORK with, at a get together of fellow co workers, and someone we are superior to in said work enviornment. Like I said, its a miracle he didnt get sent packing.

and whatever Shocky, you know never ending rivalries that give us the same matches 2874847847 times dominate all. I just wish I could see Batista Vs Undertaker and MVP Vs Matt Hardy every friday night for the rest of my life...

^ Tune in this Friday for Batista vs. Taker 20983890 and Sunday for MVP vs. Matt Hardy, the culmination of a 9 month mid card title feud that has elevated exactly....nobody.

Maybe I read it wrong, but didn't it say that this happened out of work at a bar? It's not like he said this to him backstage infront of everyone else.

True, but the wrestling business is not one you can easily compare to your average Fortune 500 company.

I feel he should've been punished, but 60 days seems absolutely ridiculious to me over a drunken mistake and a bad joke. As though the WWE's top brass has any room whatsoever to comment on racism is wrestling, when they've been promoting racial stereotypes for well over 20 years now.

I feel 30 days would've been just, and even that is a bit much for something as silly as this. Shit in the 80s Hayes probably would've been given a slap on the back and another beer. I'm not saying what he did was right, but for god's sake, people are in here acting like the man is the Grand Wizard of the Ku Klux Klan and burned a cross on Henry's front lawn.

Gotta love the Freebird

With the word out on Michael Hayes' 60-day suspension for using a racial slur towards Mark Henry, other individuals within the company are coming forward to management regarding similar past incidents involving the head writer of SmackDown.

A source claims that in one incident, Hayes mocked Dave Kapoor a.k.a. Ranjin Singh in a booking meeting. In addition to his on-air role as The Great Khali's translator, Singh is also a writer for the Raw brand. The alleged incident involves Hayes calling Kapoor a derogatory word, not to mention speaking in a stereotypical Indian voice to mock him. To make matters worse, the alleged incident occurred in the presence of agents, writers, and even members of the McMahon family, but nothing was done about it. Also note, Kapoor isn't the person complaining about the incident.

"I'm sure some will be b****** and just people looking to deliver receipts," the source said. "Others, well, unfortunately will be valid claims."

Henry is shit, but Hayes is diarreah. Did Hayes contribute anything decent to the business? (Bewares the *Yawn* Fabulous Free Bird Marks.)

Yeah. If it wasn't for The Freedirds then they wouldn't have been on WWE's World Class DVD. Buddy Roberts has a Kane voice box. It's freakin' awesome.

''My name is Kane''

its sad any more with the wwe. all you hear anymore is drugs. michael haynes told everyone on mvp show last month (don't do drugs) well he did them. he is probly going to end up like the von ericks. DEAD!

You are a complete and utter idiot.. He was not suspended for drugs, it was a radcist comment. Which, yah know, was only talkd abpout for what? THREE DAMN PAGES? Since the first was drugs since we didn't know the reason.

That guy should be fired. Hayes is a w***** for what he did, racism should NOT be tolerated. Its wrong. End of.

Racism happens.

Not in the perfect politically-correct world that most of our posters seem to live in.

I've told countless racist jokes, so many I couldn't even keep track of them if I wanted to. Does that make me a racist? No, that makes me someone who enjoys humor.

I highly doubt that Hayes is a racist, if he truly was a racist, he wouldn't be working with and developing stories FOR black wrestlers. That would make zero sense whatsoever for Hayes to want to push black wrestlers if he was an actual racist. Sounds more like to me that Hayes is just a bad drunk who doesn't know when to stop talking. I highly doubt Hayes is a registered Klan member with a shrine to Adolf in his closet.

We should post some example of what racist people are like. Or maybe just find a picture of Hayes with a black guy. If he was truly racist there wouldn't be any.

I don't think Hayes is a racist. If I recall he was the one who gave Lashley a us title run. While people are claiming that the reason Lashley went from Smackdown, to ECW, to Raw was due to Hayes, I think it was due to the overgrown ego of Lashley thinking he should have been pushed to the belt the second he stepped through the door. I think that is the same reason Lashley left and not because of Hayes so-called racism.

Sorry to get off topic there but I thought it was was something that should be brought up.

Now someone correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Hayes the one who brought us the Vicky Guerrero Evil mastermind GM of Smackdown?

I say we would be better off without him.
