Goldberg V Lesnar: Part II?

Y2Jericho

GORE! GORE! GORE!
As everyone should know by now, there are sterling rumours about Brock Lesnar possibly returning to WWE at Wrestlemania to fight The Undertaker. While this could be a possibility, Goldberg is considering coming back for one last match just to show his son what he used to do for a living.

I get that I'm probably the ONLY person who thought of this and that everyone else is probably vouching for 'Taker, but doesn't this seem like a possibility to anyone else? Goldberg and Lesnar at Wrestlemania XX was meant to be a clash of the titans, all that anyone got out of it was two guys moving back and forth waiting for the other person to strike first.

So, does anyone else think it is possible for Goldberg and Lesnar to go at it one last time, or am I just insane?

srry but no. i like the idea but i beleive brock will not come to wwe. its obviouse. and if he comes back it shouldnt be goldberg bcuz they already faced.
i would like to see goldberg vs taker at wrestle mania. but this match is something iv wanted for many years-> undertaker vs STING!!!.....just think about all their similaratys.
this would be the greatest match of the decade.but wat sucks is tht it wont happen.

Sorry bro I do not think that's possible. For one Lesnar isn't gonna comeback unless he is released from UFC. Two if you remember their match at Wrestlemanin XX it really wasn't that entertaining and everyone knew. As much as I wish these to guys would have one more just to make up for the previous one, it wouldn't happen. If either one of them do come back for one match at mania it'll be Goldberg and it'll probably be a squash match ,cause that is just his style.

Why would two non-WWE people have a match against each other in the the WWE especially at Wrestlemania!

If it's for the money then it won't really be much of a gain now will it, because the WWE will have to give both Lesnar and Goldberg a one night contract that may cost a lot more than what they bring in, even if it is Wrestlemania.

As for this, it won't be as great as it sounds because both men are past their prime and can't wrestle as well as they used to, especially if both men are hurt during the match.

Exactly what I thought! Lol.

I think the match would be a great build up though. Both guys have gone on to doing other things outside of wrestling and I'm sure people who watch them in their current professions will tune into seeing them at what they use to do. I wouldn't mind seeing this. They are two of the most dominating superstars ever. But like you said, all they did in their first match was dance around the ring waiting for one to strike. They're both great wrestlers, but not against each other. Goldberg needs someone to make him look good aswell as Brock. They don't or didn't work so well together the first time. It would take a lot of trust for WWE to try it again.

...but like HamsterWrestler said, neither work for WWE. That'd be like the MLB promoting Steve Nash and Shaq in a Baseball game. Lol I couldn't think of a good example but you get what I mean. So no..

Sorry but not going to happen, honestly after Brock decided he was leaving the match almost became a bigger flop than LT taking on Bam Bam Bigelow. I mean honestly the only thing you had was heat on Lesnar, and basically made your biggest monster since Andre (cause in the time he was there he even dominated Big Show and Taker) lose to a man who was dropped a peg off his pedestal by losing to Triple H, and having a 20 plus match with the Rock to pretty much so he was a stale one trick pony, there is no real draw to this. The only thing you should even bring Goldberg back for is if you are doing a rare match that may have relevance. Everyone wanted Goldberg Austin, I could see Goldberg-Cena it would be the master of 5 moves vs. the master of 3. But honestly I think like Hogan Goldberg needs to just stay out the ring...

I could not see this match happening for the simple fact that if either man was to return to the WWE for a one-off match they would expect to end it with a victory, which would make a match between the two impossible to book.

I do think we will see both men back in a WWE ring at some point, but I reckon Goldberg is more likely simply because he has announced he would like one more match so his son can see him wretle live. He is a lot older than Lesnar and does not have a UFC contract to complete, and as the HOF is rumoured to be a WCW theme, then I think it is a possilbility that Goldberg will be at this years Wrestlemania.

If Brock does appear, and I think its unlikely, it almost certainly would not be against Goldberg

I would not like to see it since Part 1 was a disappointment...well the match was. Probably a second one would make up for how bad their Wrestlemania match was - I would be happy to see either one of them back in the WWE though!

dana white summed it up perfectly--brock lesnar is under contract to UFC and will not be wrestling in WWE while under contract and i personally dont see him ever coming back--same with goldberg at least to WWE anyway.
he said when they were trying to sign him to a deal to do merchandising that they had to realize he wasnt just an ordinary wrestler signing a contract so that tells me he is holding out for big $$$$ to do anything but i could see TNA blowing big money to get goldberg in for one match to squash somebody since they seem to want to replicate WCW.

Doubtful, but I enjoyed their first match, I didn't look at the match to be a Mania classic, I saw it as the WWE's next big star vs WCW's big star and a match that would be methodical and not as jazzy as most people suspectedl.

No I don't want to see a match Goldberg won, Lesnar and Goldberg moved on and did there own thing, IF Lesnar was to return for one match I'd like to see him put Taker over for the few times Taker made Lesnar look unstoppable.

The idea of a Goldberg versus Lesnar version 2 is both impossible and a terrible idea at the same time. For one thing, there's no way in hell that Brock Lesnar is leaving UFC. I know he just lost his title, but one defeat does not end the guy's career. I'm sure he'll be back and near the top of the UFC world in the very near future. He's not leaving the organization. Dana White is not going to allow him to compete in the WWE as long as he is affiliated with the UFC. Plus, considering the manner in which Lesnar left the WWE, I for one don't want to see him back there. Sure, he was awesome when he was a WWE superstar, but he wasn't happy there, he's been vocal about this, and I for one don't want to see a one-off big payday for this guy. He chose to leave, let him stay gone.

Goldberg has little to offer the WWE at this stage of the game either. If WWE is serious about this ill-conceived WCW-themed WM27, then I guess I wouldn't mind seeing him inducted and competing in a match at the event. But not against Brock Lesnar and not against the Undertaker either.

Goldberg versus Lesnar the first time around was such a failure, such a catastrophic let-down, I cannot imagine giving these guys the opportunity to re-live this train wreck. One time, shame on you, second time shame on me; this has to be what the execs at WWE would feel about this match even possibly occurring.

Goldberg Vs. Lesnar part II would be just as brutal as part 1 was to watch. Goldberg is a horrible wrestler and needs to be a part of short matches in order to be effective. Lesnar is a technical wrestler who likes to go on awhile and is best showcased in long matches, the two just dont go good together. It all looks good on paper when you say Lesnar vs Goldberg but it just doesnt work and the WWE knows that now...

Goldberg VS Lesnar could have been a great match. Neither of them really tried in the math and you could tell, since they were both leaving WWE right afterwards. They deserved the Stunners they got from Stone Cold. I would be up for seeing a rematch between the two because this time around we might actually get a decent match out of them, the one we as fans deserved 6 years ago. It could happen. Don't rule it out as a possibility.

Highly unlikely. Word to Monsoon. Lesnar would cost a lot, as would Goldberg, and Lesnar has the UFC to deal with, to begin with. Also, Goldberg is likely to keep wrestling past that point, whereas Lesnar would undoubtedly be involved in a one and done.

Because of that, it'd be hard to form the finish. Lesnar lost the last bout, and if Lesnar won this bout but Goldberg had to carry on, only a run-in finish would do. But, that wouldn't be a conclusive ending to the match to begin with.

I don't see it happening.

I'd prefer to see Goldberg/The Undertaker. Big match. Phenom Vs. Phenom and it could make sense that Goldberg could go on from something like that and actually retire The Undertaker after WrestleMania and have a very big heel run. It'd make sense, since most fans will begin booing him well before Mania to begin with.
