Goldberg in the Hall of Fame?

Putting all smark logic aside, I don't see how Goldberg wouldn't be inducted into WWE's HOF. As a fan, it seems like Goldberg thinks he's too good for WWE and won't show up when he clearly had a shot at WM 30 this year. Goldberg always came across as someone in wrestling solely for money and never for passion, which is a damn shame. He made a hell of an impact on the wrestling business back in WCW during his run and he had a few memorable moments while in WWE. If he had truly loved the business, he could've had many more moments to add to an already impressive career.

I don't think there's a question of whether he'll be eventually inducted into WWE's HOF. There will always be an incomplete next to Bill Goldberg's name in the history books because he was in it for the wrong reasons. Maybe his run in WWE soured him on the political system in wrestling but a good talent can rise above that if he/she truly loves their craft. Goldberg will always be remembered for his brief career that had a few cool moments but he'll also be remembered as a guy who was a brief flash-in-the-pan who could've been much more......

honestly I been a Goldberg mark for ever. I always watched wrestling but I became hooked as a 7 year old kid watchin Goldberg kick ass in WCW.

Of Coarse Goldberg deserves the hall of fame. as other's have said, if Koko B. Ware is in the hall of fame, then Goldberg, one of the biggest names from the absolute biggest time in wrestling, deserves the hall of fame.

I see everbodys argument against it seems to be longevity. I find this EXTREMELY ironic with the recent induction of the Ultimate Warrior

The Ultimate Warrior, while his career might have been longer than Goldbergs, it wasn't longer by much.

Warrior Started his Career in 1985. he was not named the ultimate warrior until he debuted in WWF in 1987 and then left in 1991

That is essentially a 5 year career. yes over the coarse of the following years he would make several returns and people always popped for him. but none of his returns lasted very long, or just weren't very memorable. be it in WWF or WCW.

Goldberg started wrestling in 1997 and wrestled for WCW until it was bought out in 2001. Goldberg then wrestled for WWE for a year between 2003-2004.

Again that is another 5 year career. How can you say Goldberg didn't have longevity enough to be in the hall of fame? I haven't heard ANYBODY say that about the Ultimate Warrior.

Yes, Bill Goldberg's career was short, but just look at the man's credentials in that short amount of time. He was the man in that time. Although he really had a lack of wrestling expertise (WCW had a good time covering that up, while WWE failed in that department), he kicked ass, man, and he was HUGE! He will be forever mentioned into the list of Greats. Also, if Koko B. Ware (a jobber for almost his entire career) can be inducted, than so can Goldberg.

As has been said already, no Goldberg did not have a long illustrious career and no he wasn't the greatest technician. However....anyone who was alive and not living in a cave during his time knows that Goldberg was a massive star. He was a larger than life personality, he had a physique that made every teenager want to chug a muscle milk and run to the gym. Everyone has their opinion of the streak but I was a guy who loved it and thought it was one of the more impressive runs in that time period.

Considering some of the jokes that have been inducted in the HOF he deserves it without a second of doubt, and even among greats I believe he has earned his place somewhere in there. If you hear a superstar's music hit and you jump off your coach with excitement that wrestler has probably done something to be worthy of some recognition regardless of all the details, if Goldberg didn't do that I don't know who did.

Goldberg WAS THE MAN. He was huge in WCW and accomplished alot during his time there. His stint in WWE wasn't great but he was here and made an impact.

Goldberg is a must for the Hall Of Fame. One of the biggest things in WCW history alongside the NWO and Sting.

Absolutely. WCW is owned by WWE and he was a big part of WCW. You have the undefeated streak, 2 time US Champion, and he was a 2 time World Champion (1 WCW and 1 World Heavyweight). The title accomplishments and the streak are more than enough to justify him going in. I don't see it happening for a few years though. There's many names more deserving to go in before him, but since there are many who went in for less there's no reason to not induct him someday.
