Go Green Ranger Go! Official HGR Thread

Haven't seen 21 Jump Street yet, but it's on my to-do list. And now for the moment we've all been waiting for...

NOW WATCHING:
Talladega Nights

Oh god...the awful child actors... I'll give them a pass because they likely cast them to be terrible on purpose.

QUOTE 1:
Ricky Bobby's Dad: "It's the fastest...that get laid"
Room full of children: *cheers*

Also, LOL at the parent who managed a Waffle House.

QUOTE 2
Ricky Bobby's Dad: "See when you're grown up!" *speeds off in car*
Same children start cheering. Ricky Bobby is completely emotionless.

Ha. Great opening scene.

Quote 3
Black guy who played Kingpin in Daredevil: "If we don't get that car back on that track...our sponsors are going to shit a chicken."

YES! It's Kenneth from 30 Rock! That guy is in EVERYTHING, and he's completely gay, in EVERYTHING!

LOL at the entire interview scene where he can't keep his hands down. It's that kind of stupid comedy that I love out of Farrell. You know, sometimes.

Quote 4:

uh...the entire lunch/dinner scene. I don't know what I was thinking the first time I saw this. I must have been certifiably stupid, because this is fantastic. Rep to you all. I love how he gets more specific about the age of Baby Jesus as the prayer goes on.

Ahh yes the baby Jesus prayer. Plenty of jokes there. My grandmother did not appreciate that when me and my brother in law reenacted that scene during Easter dinner.

The jazz scene in the bar reminded me that we sould probably take a break to observe one of the best scenes in all of American comedy:

His dad's life lessons are some of the funniest parts of the movie. "Of course there's a live cougar in there, I put it in there! I've been keeping it in the bathroom at the hotel and feeding it old pizza..."

Plus, I could legit see Gary Cole and Jane Lynch producing Will Farrell, in a weird alternate world.

I could also see myself and Amy Adams producing...everything right with the world. Our red-headed children would be beautiful. I don't care if she's like...38.

Going off TGN, I need to watch the most recent season of 30 Rock. I missed it. Same with Parks and Rec. Continue on with greatness.

I can save you a few hours & tell you to just watch Parks & Rec as it is a) Awesome and b) sets up tons for the next season.

If you wanted to burn the hours either way, I'd suggest watching Parks & Rec twice.

30 Rock was no good? Shame. I've caught the first few episodes of Parks and Rec but work caught up with me and I just haven't had the time weekly. On Demand will be my best friend this week.

I picked up the "Undertaker: 20-0" Blu-Ray, because I thought it would have a lot of cool content on it. You know, because BRD's can hold a metric shit-ton of data?

So I pop in Disc 1 and immediately press play. It's like...a 30 minute "documentary" with the usual WWE voice-over guy running through each of the matches. There's maybe a dozen short interviews with a couple of his opponents; Orton, Henry, Superfly, etc. They all last about 10 seconds. That gets over, and I'm like...alright, there's got to be more to Disc 1. There is! It has all the video packages they play at WrestleMania for the last 5-6 matches. Back through Batista, I think. There's a few pictures, and...that's legitimately it. Maybe an hour of content, if you navigate the menu really slow.

The other two discs are matches. There is legitimately NO reason this needs to be a 3-disc (4 on DVD) set. They could have fit everything on a single Blu-Ray, easily. But people see more, and they assume it's got more content. Cheap marketing by WWE, and it just pisses me off.

Why would you have even bought it? It's not like it's Taker's greatest matches of all time it's literally Taker's Undefeated Mania streak, you know the outcome of all the matches, the interviews are the same thing we hear every year about how Taker's streak has become a legend in and of itself. It might be a shitty move by the E but what else were you expecting?

If you don't chew Big Red than FUCK YOU!

If you have the deleted scenes, watch the commercial ones, ALL of them were amazing

THAT IS MICHAEL CLARKE DUNCAN AND HE IS AMAZING IN EVERYTHING

I thought, hey maybe for once instead of just giving me the same matches re-packaged every few years, they'd offer some insider interviews like all the other really solid blu-rays they've been putting out lately. Maybe have Hunter and Sean talk about what it was like backstage for their matches, get some more time with his opponents, etc. I should have looked online to see what it had in it before hand, but I was just at Best Buy...and it was right there...staring at me...

I don't unfortunately, I just downloaded it for the sake of watching it with those who forced me too... I'll get it on Blu-Ray eventually. It's probably like $10 at Best Buy by now.

In other news...

Anybody ever have a signature you like so much you end up staring at it every time you pass your own posts? I'm really digging on my current sig.

The deleted commercials are hilarious.

We're here to tell you about snow blindness in cats. It's affecting more and more cats each year, and it scares the livin' shit out of us.
