Glass Ass: The OFFICIAL JGlass Thread

This Connecticut tragedy is bringing out the worst in people, though I understand it's from a good place. The whole idea of using this as a jumping off point for gun control is kind of sickening when the bodies aren't even cold yet.

Hate to bring depressing thoughts into this thread, but Facebook is really an ugly place right now. There are no fewer than a dozen statuses on my feed that have a political agenda, many of them spurring debates.

I totally feel you man. For every one post I have seen about keeping the victims in your thoughts and prayers I have seen three or four about gun control and people turning it into a huge debate.

I'd rather think people aren't sitting there, watching CNN, rubbing their hands with glee and going, "Oh boy, time to score some points off of my Republican/Democrat mates on Facebook!" Rather, I'd like to think that people are seeing this tragedy and becoming sickened to the point that they want to find a solution so that something like this never happens again. That is to say, it's not necessarily about "I want gun control and hey, here's a juicy opportunity to pounce upon" but rather about "This is fucking awful - how can we work towards preventing other incidents like this?" or at least I'd hope.

That's not as a eloquent as I wanted it to be but I think you see my point.

Yes, I do, and I think most people approaching this from a political standpoint are coming from a place of good will. Mr. IC25 would be one of those people. However, my old college roommate didn't even wait for the final body count to be reported when he started calling for gun control laws and getting into huge debates with people on Facebook. Those types of reactions reflect badly on everyone.

So a few more hours then?

My opinion on issues like that has always been that if you take away or make guns harder to get, people are going to find a way to kill regardless. If you have evil intentions in your heart or whatever, it's not going to go away because guns aren't available.

true, but killing 27 people (is that the current figure? I've been busy today and haven't been following the story) is a lot harder with just a knife.

Sorry to interrupt the tragic discussion but thanks for the Feedback JGlass, glad you like the RP. I'd like to think it was a definite win but like Barbosa put in the discussion thread for the match most of creative doesn't see Krypto as anything more than a lower card silly face.

You should not see that as a negative though.

Silly face is actually something refreshing with all the more serious characters floating about. Krypto in the Mayhem division could be very amusing.

And SHIT has proven that Creative has no problem promoting more comedic characters beyond the lower card.

Dynamite sent me his RP and I sent the gif of The Rock clapping back to him and he thought I was being sarcastic. I really loved that RP.

Comedy face isn't always a bad place to start out at. Hell, that's what Saboteur would have been had he not beaten Ty Burna in his third match in the company. Saboteur's success shows that you only need one big win to shoot up the card, and it can happen to anybody. Your win over Kurtsey is definitely big enough to warrant a few decent matchups after Unscripted, and if you beat those guys too you could find yourself in a favorable position come All or Nothing.

I like to think that Creative rewards good work, which is why you see Saboteur, Saxton, and S.H.I.T. getting all sorts of time on WZCW television. S.H.I.T. is in what is likely the hottest feud in WZCW right now, Saxton and Saboteur are carrying gold, and all three were chosen to represent the company at the All-Stars competition. I think there's definitely the possibility for Krypto to be used in similar ways should Dynamite continue to produce good RPs.

True, it's just that Saxton, Saboteur, SHIT while they are goofy characters they can be taken seriously more often than Krypto. But as long as I'm doing something interesting with Krypto it doesn't matter.

Still surprised over that win, I thought that RP last round was horrible, I was pretty much just scrambling for a way to end the arc I was on all cycle.

On the subject of rewarding hard work, can I count on at least one of you guys to vote for me in the Chris KO open challenge? I mean writing two RPs for two different characters has to count for something, right?

So I tried a new look today. I bought blue jeans last night while Christmas shopping (backstory: I don't wear jeans nor did I own any). I also bought a flannel shirt. So I wore it out to walmart this evening and the cashier lady chatted me up. She asked what music I was listening too. I had my phones dangling out of my shirt. Common question you'd think, but never once has someone asked me about what music I listen to. So all credit goes to the new wardrobe. And after bashing my taste in music (trust me, the music I listen to is pretty awful, but oh well) she said it's not that my music sucks it's that I have a vast knowledge and appreciation of music. Clearly.

What makes S.H.I.T. any more believable than Krypto?

Not to discredit your win, but Kurtesy was on the way out anyway. Regardless, in the realm of kayfabe that win still looks damn impressive for Krypto.

Look at Theo picking up Walmart ass. Well done sir.

The face of the industry, ladies and gentlemen:

Say whatever you want about the guy, but he knows how to work a crowd! Is it bad that this 60 second speech got me more excited for the match than the entire build on Raw and Smackdown? Yes, yes it is.

Probably is on going blood feud with Barbosa.

.

This is why I think it was handed to me, regardless cheers to Falkon for jobbing to me when he could have had Kurtesy win his last match.

SHIT has definitely benefitted from Creative and other RPers taking him seriously rather than just a man in a box but much like JGlass and Doc, Miko hit the ground running creatively. If I am not mistaken, he defeated Austin Reynolds, the then #1 contender to Ty's world crown, in his debut.

SHIT being in a blood feud is more a reward for Miko's consistently high level rather than an attempt to get that high level out of him - at least that is how I see it.
