Jordan who?
While some people would prefer he used the El Generico gimmick, I don't think it'd get him over on a major stage like WWE. Why? Well...frankly, it's kind of a joke when you think about it. El Generico is a red headed, nearly as white skinned as Sheamus Canadian of Syrian descent wrestling as a Luchadore from Tijuana, Mexico. It almost sounds schizophrenic. Also, the name "El Generico" pretty much translates into "the generic." Something like that works well on the indy circuit but not on a bigger stage. TNA did something kind of similar with Amazing Red a few years back in which they put him in a mask and called him Sangriento and it didn't exactly get over.
If "El Generico" showed up in WWE, people wouldn't take him seriously. They'd get a kick out of him doing his thing and the whacky aspects of his character, but they also get a kick out of Santino Marella. "El Generico" would most likely be a comedy jobber who could entertain fans and that fans could see is probably capable of being much more than his current role. They'd like the guy and he'd probably earn success as a mid-card and tag team wrestler, but would usually be jobbed out to the much bigger stars on the roster.
Increíble.
Considering a red-headed biker from Texas who has evil supernatural powers became one of the most over guys ever- I think we can suspend disbelief long enough to enjoy the 'El Generico' chatacter.
Hell, at least the 'generic luchador' character is more believable than half of the ******ed gimmicks WWE has forced us to watch over the years.
I'll be sure to let Kizarney know that.
They booked him as a fucking FACE, Ech.
A face.
Thankyou, Calvin Johnson, for that wonderful bounty of seven whole points you got me today. Stellar, buddy. My cup runneth over.
How did everyone do after the bulk of the first weekend of fantasy? I beat Thriller in the WZ Small League (woo!) and I have a 25 point lead in my league with college/Boston friends and my opponent only has Antonio Gates to play, so I'm feeling good about that. Sadly, in my paid league, it looks like I'm going to lose with a 4 point lead going into Monday night and my opponent with McCoy and Owen Daniels to play.
Overall though, a nice start to my fantasy season!
Assuming RGIII isn't getting 60 points tomorrow, I'm going 0-2. Big shoutout to David Wilson, Dwayne Bowe, Zach Sudfeld who got me a combined 2 points.
I appreciate you, thriller, for showing me im not in the basement.
I would've beaten JGlass had I started Brandon Myers instead of Sudfeld. And I lost in baseball this week, so I miss the playoffs if I mathed right. I hate fantasy sports.

I'm beating Habs 178-134, his only hope is to get 37 pts. from the Chargers D, since that's highly unlikely I'm just gonna go ahead & claim my victory in that one now. In my other league I won 110 to 75(woo!).
