Glass Ass: The OFFICIAL JGlass Thread

Hello Jonathan

This reminds me of a song I know... where a crackhead lit a baby on fire for crying too loud.

I had a day man, lemme tell you. Woke up, went to a doctor's appointment, went to a friends house to help her make a video for her job which wound up being an absolute mess where we took nearly 4 hours just trying to get the footage on my computer because of technical difficulties, and then we went to a bar to see another friend do open mic comedy. He was okay. After that he and I grabbed a beer and talked about it as well as some other awesome shit.

It was a great day.

I don't listen to most of the roster's themes. I couldn't tell you more than three, four themes off the top of my head.

I know Saxton's, Saboteur's, Saxton and Saboteur's, Barbosa's, Grand Mystique's (because of how unbelievably generic and terrible it is), and The Empire's (because I suggested it). After that I'm not all that familiar with who has what theme.

Get a new phone.

Whomever nabbed your old one recieved my extensive thoughts on RAW. I hope they disagreed with them

I got a new phone, and then I found my old one. Apparently it wasn't stolen so much as it was picked up and given to the 2nd floor library desk, but I kept checking the first floor library desk. Apparently having a lost and found for every desk is a great idea and these lost and founds communicating with one another is an impossible feat.

I don't think I got those texts, though, all I got was something about Paul E with friends in high places (which is true, and that segment definitely cleared a lot of things up and I look forward to Punk's response to this) and that you liked The Rock's Royal Rumble promo. I don't know which promo you're talking about, but I was watching the Rumble at a very noisy restaurant and I was sitting next to some dude that kept talking through the entire thing, so I wasn't really able to hear much of anything except during the Rumble entrances when everyone would get relatively quiet.

Come to think of it, I remember IC trying to quiet everyone down when The Rock started talking, but that didn't last very long.

I could tell you most of the guys who've been there for awhile. Not so much the newer guys. Do you remember mine?

So I got everything with my check worked out & thought things were back to normal. Well I was wrong. I felt like crap & decided to get some meds & call in sick. So they decided to suspend me for 4 days. Awesome, right?

The reason- because I didnt call the GM & let him know. Funny thing is, that policy states call your supervisor prior to your shift. Work starts at 8, I called my supervisor (like I have many times before) at 6:55. No one ever said I had to call anyone else.

So obviously he was pissed about me getting my money back. Likely because he got in trouble for trying that shit. So he decides to suspend me for following the rules? Like that is going to go over any better.

I'd start burning shit down.

Is this a corporation of any type where there's someone higher up then the GM? If so I would take your complaints to that person/people.

The last job I worked at before where I'm at now had a supervisor that did a lot of stupid shit like that, he eventually got himself fired for it, it was pretty fucking hilarious.

As long as it's still Beethoven's 5th, then yes. Don't know how I forgot that one.

So you did drop it somewhere along the way

No, I have no idea what happened. I had it when I sat down because I got a text message. Then when I stood up I checked to make sure I had everything (as I always do), and it was gone. My theory is that it fell out of my pocket and fell to the floor and someone picked it up and immediately turned it in rather than ask if it belonged to me.

I may be participating in a 48-hour video game stream for charity in the future. Not actually playing, but probably commentating on Skype with the guy and coming in and out of that.

We're definitely putting Division Blade on the games schedule. And silly WWE13 Universe shenanigans. It should be pretty fun, if I can stay awake that long, but being a college student I'm used to it.

Division Blade brought back from the dead; I feel bad for the you you're making play it.

How does this thing work? You're going to stay up along with the guy for 48 hours straight and talk about video games and what not? That sounds like it would be fun for the first two hours but after that it might be a chore.

I'll make sure to pop on Skype and regale you with tales of some shit.

Well, I'll be popping in and out of the call. He'll be playing games on stream for one or two hours at a time before switching to a new game and talking about them. We'll try and schedule ones with heavy community interaction, plus some wrestling games since it's going to be an AES-sponsored thing. Chrono Trigger will probably be on the schedule since he's never played it and everyone loves Chrono Trigger.

These are actually pretty common events. We got the idea since a lot of people do these types of things for the charity Child's Play and thought it'd be a fun way to do something special and get us some free advertising along the way. Ulterior motives, yeah!

Speaking of AES, me and Dan spent the week working on a website which we'll be using for this as well as our streams in general. Look how pretty this thing is. http://armbarerrorsociety.eu/

This is an option. Although an arson charge might not help in the future. I could always just hire a bum 2 shit in his desk drawer though.

Problem is, his boss (the owner) is just as big of a douche. I have come to be seen as a problem because I speak my mind\stick up for myself & they get irritated with that. I have found ways to improve various things & instead of them seeing opportunity- they see it as a hassle. Which is really backwards thinking when you own a business. They just want to count the money & not be bothered with anything- even if it helps improve the company. It makes no sense.

They cant fire me because I do my job, so they are trying to make things difficult so I quit. Problem is, I am more stubborn. Im not going anywhere till I have something else lined up.

The GM is in his position by marriage & not going anywhere unfortunately. Only thing I can do is stick to my guns, do my job & document all the times they fuck up. When I leave, a few others will also & the business will fall. He is doing some underhanded shit & I know about most of it. So karma is a bitch & when I leave\get fired- their clients will receive all the info they need to take their business elsewhere. Its going to be pretty damn funny.

That can actually generate money?

Yeah, we're going to work with Child's Play, put the event on their calendar, and then get some other fairly well known streaming guys (newLegacyInc for example) who are cool with us to advertise a bit. It's gonna be a thing.

We'll be realistic, though. No super high goal. It's more of an experiment than anything and you never know until you try.

So I went to a Sundance USA event tonight where a movie that played last week at Sundance is shown at a local independent theater in the community. Boston gets decidedly mediocre films, but it's still the opportunity to go see an indy film that was good enough for Sundance, so what the hell, right? The first time I went was two years ago and we got My Idiot Brother, which while not exactly fine cinema, was still an enjoyable movie with some good performances from actors I like.

This year we got The Lifeguard, and it was without a doubt one of the most depressing movies I've ever seen. There wasn't even an uplifting ending to make you feel better when it was all done, it just left you with a shot that said, "Everything is still fucked up, but maybe she'll be okay eventually."

I recommend against it. Of the three movies I saw this week it was definitely the worst. The best movie I saw this week wasn't all that great, actually, but it was decent: a Japanese film called The Family Game. In between Family Game and Lifeguard was 300, which had plenty of testosterone fueled fights and fucks, but little to offer in the way of anything above a primal interest.
