Glass Ass: The OFFICIAL JGlass Thread

Actually, you get a pretty solid idea of where they're going at the very beginning of season 5. It's how they get there and why that is of interest right now.

Yeah? Well, I'm about to get there, so I'll chime in soon enough. Everything I've heard thus far has been just minor little slips, since I'm trying to avoid spoilers like the plague.

Yes you do, it's the most addictive show on television (Yeah, you all see what I did there ;))

It's on Netflix right? It is towards the top of my list of shows I want to watch. I may wait for it to end and then get started with it. We'll see how I can squeeze it into my schedule.

I watch the doc & some of the special features last night, now I'm watching the matches, just finished the ECW title match he had with JoMo.

I was reading the match list, looking forward to getting into that. Some solid matches right there.

Theo has just ponted out on twitter, that according to worldwide trends, I deserve respect, So respect me dammit!

It went away right after I mentioned it. Clearly they will not show you the respect you deserve. Conspiracy? I think so.

So far the Colts two wins have been over the Vikings(sorry Theo) and the Pack(Crock, Justin, again sorry). They have the Jets(Jiggles) this week, and the Browns(Harth) the next. If things stay the course we have a couple wins coming up since they only beat teams you guys like, then they don't win again until week 13 when beat Megatron's Lions.

In my Madden 13 season the Colts won the AFC South and Andrew Luck was the AFC MVP. They lost to the Pats in the second round of the playoffs, though, so now I have to face the Pats in a rubber match. I hope Mark Sanchez decides to play well.

In even more epic news, I just burped and farted at the same time and it was sweeeeeet.

No need to be sorry DJ Yazzy Yeff. I honestly expected us to have 2 wins at this point. I'm thrilled to be 4-1 right now. Never did I think that would happen. I had the Vikes winning 6 games as a whole.

Dominik Hasek rules out NHL return

PRAGUE -- Veteran goaltender Dominik Hasek appears to be done with ice hockey after giving up hope of returning to the NHL again.

The 47-year-old goalie resumed training ahead of this season hoping to get picked up by an NHL club, but told Czech daily Sport on Tuesday that it is "very unlikely" he would play again after no team offered him a contract amid the current lockout.

Known as the "Dominator," he was twice named the NHL's most valuable player, and took home the Vezina Trophy six times.

Hasek announced his retirement in 2002 after winning his first Stanley Cup with the Detroit Red Wings, but came back and then retired from the NHL again in 2008.

He then led his hometown club Pardubice to the Czech league title and then played a season for Spartak Moscow in the KHL.

This might be the most pointless story ever. Of course no NHL franchise is going to offer Hasek on contract he's a twice retired 47 yr. old has been, & the NHL is locked out so even if some team was desperate enough & wanted to offer this asshole a contract they couldn't. What a fucking stupid non-story, I expect better from ESPN.

4-1, tied atop the NFC North. Who would have guessed that? Ponder has been good, but Percy Harvin has been great, if he keeps it up his name should be in MVP talks.

I think the entire season this year has been wild.

When we won Sunday I shed a tear. My week last week was shit, so to win one over the Pack with Pagano in the hospital was nice.

Speaking of Chuck, I think the NFL did the right thing in not fining Wayne for this.

I think the NFL realizes they've got enough heat from fans already with the whole lockout crap from last year, the ref shit this year, bounty-gate, they really didn't need the heat they get from doing something stupid like fining Wayne, one the the more respectable guys in the NFL, for supporting his coach in his battle with Leukemia. That would have just looked really fucking bad.

I could stay here and type about Percy Harvin until I reach my character limit. I just absolutely love the guy. He is so dynamic for our offense and I think he is our best offensive player. Sure we have Peterson (who is fucking great), but Harvin opens up so much for our team. He has sure hands, runs great routes, good blocker, and hell he is our 2nd best RB.

I'm not sure who did the Vikings game the other week, but my brother was telling me that the announcer said that Percy Harvin was the best offensive player in football that isn't a QB. He rambled on saying that the first offensive person he is taking after a QB is Percy. A bit of a reach, but the utmost complement to a guy who has worked his tail off to get where he is.

Texans for 2-0 over the Colts at the end of the year. Sounds great to me.

The Texans are scary good. However I'm worried about the defense now with Cushing out for the year. They do still have JJ Watt, that man is just an utter beast this year. As long as Arian Foster stays healthy though, I like their chances in the AFC.

I knew Cush was gone when I saw him go down. To bad, but I think we can pick up his slack. Outside of some freak shit, I think we can make it to the Afc champ game. Winning it, Idk about that.

And yes JJ is a monster. I fucking Hulked out when he swatted that ball at the end of the game.

A lot of people thought that the Catalyst's inability to understand this was a failure in the ending, but I thought that it was simply illustrating the Catalyst's underestimation of the alien races.

Same here. That's exactly how I felt, I'm quite surprised by how many were quick to criticize BioWare after three great games.

Eh, I think it's better than Overlord, not as good as Shadow Broker. There were really only two good missions, but the story is pretty cool. I don't think it complicates the ending at all, it just explains it much more thoroughly. Whether that's a good thing or not is up to you.

Yeah, that's a good thing. If it's better than Overlord then it's definitely worth purchasing. Getting that and all the games I want will be quite tough with no money.

Actually the little boy's death hardly registered with me because it was only one of millions of children that died, and it was just so over dramatized.

Saddest moment for me was Tali's reaction as the Legion finished uploading the Reaper Code. She was stuck sitting on Rannoch as her entire species was eradicated, and Shepard had to watch. It was just a disaster.

I understand that millions of children were dying or dead but this one Shepard had a chance to save.

'Twas absolutely horrifying when I did that part too. I knew Tali was overcome with despair, but I had no idea she was going to do what she did. Immediately, I wanted to reverse my decision, but decided it wasn't worth going back to my last save playing through the same five hours. So I tried to justify that choice in my head and just waited until my next playthrough.

I found the shotgun to be extraordinarily useful in ME1, but not so much in the latter two games. The pistol is okay in ME2 and 3, but I find it fairly useless in ME1.

My favorite sniper rifle is the Mantis, or whatever one they start you out with. In ME3 there was one rifle, the Javelin, that you get that's awesome because it highlights enemies, even if they're hiding behind crates or doors or something, but you get it much later in the game. But it's Rate of Fire is even worse than the Mantis, and the scope is shit.

Never used the shotgun in ME1 too. Meh, the pistol started off as useless but later improved I felt. I was very curious about using the Javelin in multiplayer, but didn't because my Mantis was Level X and was a lot lighter.

Actually I find killing them with the sniper rifle is easier than anything else. The mail slot shot is hard, but easier than finding a way around their shield.

Not if you've got Singularity or Pull, but other than those, yeah. The mail slot shot is probably the best option.

The decision actually haunted me for a few days, I had to remind myself that they were fictional characters in a fictional universe, but that one still hurt.

Putting that much time into something, a game, a TV show, anything. Is bound to conjur emotion and thought. That's what I tell people who think I'm crazy for liking shit like Mass Effect so much.

I don't see Shepard being the type of guy to spit blood in the face of his enemy as one last fuck you. He'd be willing to be swallow his pride if it meant saving one life, let alone the entire galaxy.

Two of my Shepard's wouldn't. One would. But still, I imagine it would be an extremely satisfying fuck you for some.

I had not heard of the Retaliation DLC, but that sounds promising. I wonder what kind of decision making that game will include, and if you can wind up turning the collectors against their masters. Javiik's involvement with those quests will be especially intriguing.

It's multiplayer. They're a new enemy and they've got a new look. In mulitplayer you can fight the Geth (heretics), Reapers, Cerberus and now the Collectors. Need to find out when it's released and get on that shit.

As for further Mass Effect games... I'm not sure I like the idea of prequels. One of Mass Effect's signatures is the decision making, and I can't imagine being able to make significant decisions for predetermined battles. I also like when all the species are working together, and the only time that would work in a prequel is a Rachni War scenario, and even that will only see Asari, Turian, Salarian, and Krogan (not sure if any non-council races got involved there).

I think I would enjoy a sequel. It would be nice to see some of Shepard's crew mates and what they're up to in the future. It will also be pretty cool to see how the various alien races have decided to honor Shepard. The only problem I can foresee the game having is not being able to incorporate all of your choices from 1-3. You make so many choices in 3 that massively effect (No punt intended. Seriously, it wasn't.) that there would have to be way too many scripting changes.

I suppose they could set the game in the FAR Mass Effect future. That would be pretty cool, maybe they could add a new space faring race and the main quest can be about their attempt to join the Council, and your choices in the game will determine whether or not they make it. It would be a great way to pit the other races against each other too. Maybe the Krogan feel jealous that, despite their good behavior, they still haven't made it into the Council and show some hostility to the new race, and maybe a group of outlaw Krogans attack the new race. Maybe the Turians don't want to see the new race join the council so soon, much like how they didn't want the humans on the council. The possibilities are endless.

The bolded part is why I don't believe a sequel would work. And why I feel all they can do really, is prequels. I don't see decision-making as an issue, new characters mean new stories and that can easily fit in player choice. The overall ending would be the same, but you can do it your way. Of course that probably wouldn't work for the Krogan Rebellions. As for the races not working together, I suppose I'd be okay with that. They never really did in ME1 or 2.
I can assure you that I never had any intention of watching any of the Titan movies.

The Raid, on the other hand, looks like it has all sorts of potential.

Good, they suck balls.

The Raid is easily one of my favourite action films ever, I've already watched it three times.

I was really excited for FIFA 13, with the inclusion of national tournaments in career mode I was excited. That sucks

I want to get a new game this month, try to help take my mind off things. I don't know if I should pick up Madden 13, wait for Assassin's Creed 3, or get X-Com. Also considering Dishonored. I'm waiting to hear what people say though.

Comic people:

Is there anywhere I can buy comics online with free shipping? Heavyink used to offer this service but apparently they do so no longer.

NBA 2K13 is the beeeeeeeeeeest. AC3 is going to be bad ass, though.

I buy my comics at my local store, never once thought about buying online. Are you in absolute need for a physical copy? If not, most sites like Marvel sell their comics digitally now.

FIFA 13 adds to the problems of FIFA 12 rather than fixing them. The servers are still fucking awful.

Ultimate Team - There's something new wrong with it every week. I'm not even exaggerating.

Seasons (Head to Head) - Can't even play it. No, literally, I went to start a game three times earlier and it crashed my Xbox 360 in the arena while it loaded every time.

Career - Since FIFA 09 I've gotten into playing online with my friends. Career just doesn't cut it anymore, it lacks the sense of accomplishment that beating a living person online gives.

Pro Clubs - Can't play it unless certain friends are online and want to play it, don't even suggest Team Play. The amount of idiotic monkeys on that are staggering. It's impossible to play properly when the other ten guys can't kick the ball or don't want to.

FIFA 13's First Touch and Attacking Intelligence bollocks doesn't make up for the fact that the servers are just as bad as last year, probably worse. All the same glitches are back, with new ones, something they forgot to advertise. It ruined FIFA 12 for me and it's already ruined FIFA 13. Bring on Assassin's Creed III and Dishonored.

Rant over.

I'd prefer it, and I don't know if there'll be digital for this. It's the My Little Pony comic book.

I feel like you're going to stop helping me now.
