I thought he was awful on Smackdown. I think that it's Tazz's personality that 's doing him in as a commentator. He's one of those guys that likes to talk...like conversational talking, which is different than commentary. Also, he needs to call the moves right. He needs to work on it. JR is overrated as a commetator, and so is styles. If you want the truth, I could watch a wrestling match with NO talking. Imagine something like that. Also, Styles is saying that "ecw rules" stuff for the wwe marks and "new" ecw fans or whatever. Why would you think that he'd do that of his own volition?

Tazz is okay as a colour commentator. He's not great by any stretch of the imagination, he's servicable although he needs to work at commentating. He does a decent job just chatting when nothing is going on. However, he doesn't really contribute much during the course of a match. He's kind of the opposite of how JBL has been on Smackdown, someone needs to shut JBL up sometimes so the play by play guy gets a chance to talk.

Lawler can be a bit of a tool, I liked him when he was a bit more of a heel in the broadcast booth. He's gone rather soft of late but he's still mildly amusing and he's got a pretty good grasp of when he should chime in.

Tazz has more than enough time to improve, but Lawler was a farrrrrrrrr better commentator as a heel. As a face he's ok, but he needs to come up with some new stuff. The Jackel was coloring for ECW for while, where is he?

His injury ended his career. Therefore, he should not still be wrestling. Tazz did the right thing.

And I love his commentating, except for the Angle match at WM22 where he repeated "tearin' it up already" twice. I think Tazz is hilarious.

His neck is screwed up through all the abuse, plus he suffered many injuries over his areer. i'm not sure what it was that totally eneded it.

I've never been big on his commentary, and him and joey really need to tone it down. joey is a great play by play guy, but hes a little over the top so far in ECW

Cyrus was always fun. I wouldn't mind seeing WWE bringing him back in some capacity be it as a colour commentor, a play by play guy or an interviewer or a manager. He's great on the mic.

Taz is not a wrestler anymore. He is a commentator. The guy who started this thread thinks that Taz has questionable commentary skills. Do you see how your comment was off topic? I appreciate your opinion, but...you know...

For the last time, Taz isn't wrestling anymore. He's injured to the point where if he takes a bump, it could be fatal. If you want to see Taz wrestle, watch the old ECW Pay-Per-Views and matches.

I never said Taz was a bad wrestler, I simply said he was obese and a shitty commentator. Those things don't pertain to what he did in the ring.

He looked like el gordito grande waddling down to the ring at ONS2. You would think a "hardcore legend" would maybe like to uphold his image, have a little more self pride, and maybe step away from the buffet table after 4 servings.

I see what you're saying though, but instead of looking to the man's weight/size, why don't we focus on giving him a chance on commentary? I don't see anyone bashing Viscera on his size or even Samoa Joe and Umaga.

Um...there was some dude bashing Samoa Joe, but I think Samoa Joe is built like the wrestlers in Japan who are not super ripped or whatever. If that guy thinks that only dudes that are ripped, like Batista or even Masters, should be wrestling, he is a super mark.

Actually, I kinda like JBL better than Tazz as a commentator. I know I like him better now than when he was wrestling. I, especially, like when King Booker comes out. It's hilarious. All Tazz did was clown Michael Cole and call the moves badly. That is my opinion though.

Did you mean that JBL is a confederate? He proclaims to be from New York, which was clearly a part of the confederacy....right? Or did you mean that he was somebody's ally? I'm trying to understand you....

The Raw team isn't much better. Really, they aren't. What about Tazz's speech is fake? I didn't think that he was faking an accent. I don't know about boring, but he can't seem to call the moves right, and he gets excited about certain things that aren't exciting. Another thing is he spent a lot of time talking about how Michael Cole is not a wrestler. We already knew that. Joey Style's always bugged me because of his "hoo-dan-can-rana". King is not funny. He is childlike. "Puppies! Puppies!" He does say funny things, but those are lines fed to him. Surprisingly, I am liking JBL as commentator now. ..better than as wrestler.

Tazz was an AWFUL commentater on SD. But whilst watching the ECW PPV I realised how Michael Cole didn't help him. How many times did you hear this MC: Tazz whats that move called? Tazz: Thats the Headlock MC: And what does that do to your opponent? Tazz: Well it wears him down. I mean has JR ever asked The King what a move is? I don't think so. So that can be put partly down to MC. However he does ramble "it's like the old saying,when your at the top of the mountin all the goats are waiting down below just waiting for a chance to climb up and take you down from the top of that mountain" a saying I have NEVER heard before! Also he did tend to state the obvouis quite a bit "that black armband Rey wears with EG writtien on it. That's in memory to Eddie Guerrero"! Really I thought it was he was saying he was an example of something(A paper champion maybe?),but hey thanks for putting me right! Also he said "no doubt" too much. Just to touch on his in ring ablities he was great in ECW from what I've seen and was never givien the right push in WWE(He lost to the King at SS 2000 due to interferance from JR!). But as a commentater sorry but for the reasons stated he sucks!
