Gamers unite -HQ

I've never wanted to open a spoiler so badly, but on the off chance that I play Undertake, I'm not gonna.

But I want to.

Yeah, I realize that spoiler was pretty much like offering candy from strangers. I do recommend picking up the game though, on the account that it's cheap, it's fairly short, and it's different.

You play guitar and have an interest in geeky RPG's and puzzle games? You may have just found a spot on my cool kid list. It's a very exclusive club.

Aww <3
Basically all I ever play when I grab my guitar are video game or anime tunes. I like them because they're usually easier to pick out the note than a metal song, so even stuff like Porky Means Business from Earthbound or to a lesser extent Dance of Illusions from Symphony of the Night which are still hard as hell to do are actually achievable.

As for your spoiler, I don't get how everyone else managed to do what you said on their first run through. I mean there's a cute little guy that spells it out for you unless you're a monster in which case he wouldn't be there :p

What actually stumped me (Big spoilerinos here):
Fighting asgore made me look up how to beat him without killing him since I'd never even pressed the fight option once during my first time though

I caved by the way. Needed to take my mind off some stuff and got Firewatch. Only took 3 hours to finish. Possibly the best voice acting I've ever heard. There's some very particular things I could say critically about it but the game's presentation and tone is something that has to be seen to be believed. The main problem, besides the length, is that it really is a walking simulator, and that while it does get you to have the required revelation at the perfect time, it's more of a safe single than a home run. If you have a free afternoon and a free $20 US to whack on a game like that then you'll enjoy it while it lasts, and then a few hours after while you think about it deeper. Undertale's less than half the price and you'll get a LOT more out of that.

Someone should introduce The Witness to Firewatch and get them to have a baby because honestly that might be the best hypothetical game in nonexistence.

It's super weird to me SAME SPOILER RAYNE HAD HERE BUT ALSO A MAJOR ENDGAME SPOILER
that people even tried fighting Toriel. I just kind of instinctively knew you had to keep sparing no matter what and I was determined to let my persistence pay off. Which was a real fucking gutpunch when I got to ASGORE. I have never wanted to do a boss fight less. Absolutely masterful.

Rayne, you have done the true pacifist ending, right?

So I've been playing Diablo III like crazy since I got it and I'm loving it.

I'm a bit bummed they don't have necromancer as a character but I think the witch doctor will make up for it.

I'm gonna play through as all 5 characters to really get a feel for them all

I've tried Witch Doctor and Wizard. Witch Doctor building a party around him appeals deeply to me, but I'm a huge mark for the disintegration beam of the Wizard. I've got it stuck in my head that the beam is a huge asset and my most powerful weapon.

Between that and time stop, fuckin' loot goblins or whatever they are stand no chance against me.

Casual gamer. Once and a while every other weekend. Forgive my sloppy use of the language.

Also, not having to collect bottles of mana and health potion take a tonne of drama and jeopardy out of the game. Even at the highest difficulty available to me, I find it painfully easy.

Though it still serves its purpose.

Right now I'm playing through as a Barbarian, something that never really interested me in 2.

Another one that looks interesting is Monk so I may do that next.

Obligatory BIG WARNING TEXT
Oh yes, Toriel was the only person who died on my first playthrough, then I did the True Pacifist run after that. I tried sparing her a couple of times, then figured smacking her a few times and sparing her might work. It did not.

Yep, The Following is really good.

Have to admit, I haven't been treating my buggy all that well since I got it. Well, I say my buggy but it turns out it was my mates one so he wasn't best pleased when we figured out that only he could do the repairs

That buggy recall function is a life-saver too as I keep managing to get my buggy wedged between cars and buses on bridges.

I beat Diablo III as a Barbarian in Normal mode. It's waiting back at the beginning in Nightmare mode but I'm playing through Normal as all 5 characters first before I go back and do Nightmare mode.

Right now I'm playing as a Monk and I'm having a tough time deciding which is my favorite so far between Barbarian & Monk.

Well people in Seattle work early because Arkham City shipped out from Gamefly today and it's only 7:30am.

I also like how they apparently do a series in order if you've got them all in your Q.

The monk is speedy like a ninja but has aura powers like the Paladin character from II.

Next will probably be the Witch Doctor.

The 2912020 games and the repetitiveness of Assassins Creed I has stunted me for that.

I'm also finally almost finished Earthbound. What a gloriously fun game.

The repetitiveness of Assassin's Creed I was nearly a deal-breaker for me. Just managed to make it through to II, which was infinitely better.

But then I hated the big reveal at the end. And coupled with a strong dislike of the modern day aspect of all the games (it is utterly unnecessary), that essentially killed it for me.

I got a cheap copy of AC3 and gave it a go but while I liked the opening, it suffered badly from the vastness of the open world/areas. So much time and computing space taken up with essentially empty space.

Not really sure what happened with the Witcher. I didn't hate it but I just... didn't care.

Bought a PS4 & 3 games (Battlefront, Arkham Knight, & Evolve) today. I've tinkered with Battlefront a little so far, but that's about it.

Sorry to hijack the Sony love in but it's Zelda's 30th birthday.

Well shit.

My copy of Arkham City froze 3 times and legit kicked M out of the game twice.

I sent them an email so now I wait.
