Gamers unite -HQ

Hahahaha I really should have picked up on that while i played... Now excuse me while I disappear and read that again - well first I've gotta finish reading Alice in wonderland or my OCD will make my soul explode, but I'll get to it soon enough.

Anyone here a fan of Dark Souls?

My gaming soul is complete once more.

I was thinking I was getting a PS4 or Xbox One, I was wrong but I'm so glad I was wrong. My wife got me a Sega Dreamcast along with Shenmue and a few other games.

One thing I've always regretted is selling my Dreamcast a number of years ago and I have one yet again. Now I gotta rebuild up my DC collection yet again.

Speaking of dead consoles, I bought a Vita. Say what you will about its software, it's like holding a sports car in your hand.

Tearaway is fantastic; WipEout 2048 is fantastic; Uncharted is alright.

I was considering getting a Vita but Persona 5 being confirmed for PS3 made me decide to wait again. It's a marvelous piece of kit but right now there's only two games I want for it and I've played their vanilla versions already.

Well I gotta go get the Dreamcast swapped out.

Hooked it up today and it doesn't read any disc I put in it.

Disappointed, I was looking forward to a sick day of going back a few years gaming wise.

Lego Marvel is so cute and fun, clever game.

I beat it a few days ago and have been fooling around with free roam since then. It's a lot of fun, and the variety of heroes they have is amazing. What's more amazing is that, while many of the heroes play exactly the same, they all have unique animations that keep thing fresh, especially during combat.

My only issue with the game right now is that it's a pain in the ass to unlock everybody because they cost coins to unlock, and while coins aren't exactly hard to come by, you have to get about 200,000 to unlock the cool characters.

Sad times indeed, though the strange thing about his death is I've eben trying to remember the name of Marvel Land for years. he was the illustrator so it's popped up in his tribute a lot.

I've always praised the covers of the Sonic games for having a dynamic and unique look. My older sisters owned a Genesis and Sega CD, so I used to play them a fair amount. He will be missed.

I do hope to have a PS4, but I'm holding off until I move to the U.S. and more games are available.

But in a similar vein, I just (at least) doubled my Xbox game tally. Since having it in 2010, I haven't purchased many games, partly because of price and just not knowing what was good. Thanks to some convincing from the fiancée and the good pricing of pre-owned games from CEX (that's probably their biggest perk, if any), I got about 13 games for £50, which includes the likes of Fallout 3, Forza, Halo 3 & 4, Oblivion, Gears of War, to name a few. It's nice that she encouraged this and that whenever we visit the UK, we'll get some more pre-owned games while they're still available for the 360.

I admit that while I was slow to take in the Xbox games, I'm glad I waited to get most of these as pre-owned.

Two things:

Finished Link Between Worlds. Loved it and it's good to have a bit of freedom in a Zelda game.

Also Playstation Now looks great. Yeah we've seen it with Onlive but this takes it an explodes it. I'd love to see Nintendo do that with the virtual console, imagine a subscription service for that?

Finally picked up Shin Megani Tensei IV. I wasn't going to get it at the $50 normal price but $30 was acceptable as it's on sale in the virtual store.

It's a typical SMT game, I'm enjoying it a lot so far though.

If you want a good FPS single player, try Crysis 2. The actual storyline is meh, but the action and intensity is epic. I've heard Crysis 3 is very good too.

I've tried Crysis 3 I liked it.... I was looking foward to playing Titanfall but the fact that it's now multiplayer only, is rather dissapointing.... I can't play multiplayer for the life of me sigh... ESPECIALLY on FPS's.

You betcha. Still put the soundtrack on sometimes, to highlight the monotony of not being a bandicoot.

Call me crazy, but Crash Bandicoot 3 has a very good chance of being my favourite game ever. I do have a rather strange top 5 (Metal Gear Solid, Final Fantasy 6, Star Wars Battlefront 2, Eternal Champions: Challenge from the Dark Side and CB3), but quite honestly, CB3 is complete in pretty much every aspect. The first game was great, the second was phenomenal and the third blew that away. The game literally has no major shortcomings.

And the soundtrack is awesome. My favourite track from the trilogy is probably the Snow Levels from the second game.
