Honestly there's a massive fuckton of gaming deals going on not just on Steam. Amazon, Green Man Gaming, GetGames, GamersGate, and Gamefly all got some awesome deals going.

Speaking more on Witcher 2, I saw it was 50% off yesterday, was contemplating it for $10, and then today Steam had it 75% off. So I'm glad I held off for a day.

I know similar power-ups have been in other Mario games, but I just experienced the Double Cherry for the first time in 3D World. Having five Fiery Marios on the go all at once was a rather spectacular sight. No baddie had a mission against that.
How smoothly controlling them all was rather good too.

I dunno, the differences in the quality of the faces was remarkable. I realize that the graphics in game aren't a huge step up but I think that would likely require an engine re-write. That being said I'm not sure if that's already happened or not since the PS4 architecture is so markedly different to the PS3 and 360

Really enjoying My Career on NBA 2K14 for the PS4. Good improvement on the past versions.
I watched Channel 4's show on the 25 most influential games. It's a fucking joke, they use Shadow of the Colossus as their prime example of morality systems. And apparently Braid and Last of Us are more worthy of being in a top 25 than any Zelda or Metroid, Super Mario 64, Pokemon, Goldeneye, Wolfenstein, Metal Gear Solid, any Mass Effect or Bioshock.
Also, 5 of the last ten minutes are dedicated to Twitter, where they try to talk about how it's a video game.

I watched parts of that too. I still stand by the fact that Angry Birds is not only incredibly overrated, but a rip-off of a better flash game called Crush the Castle.

I feel like a good portion of current games are rip-offs of older games, or even unknown games.
Remember the arcade game "GuitarFreaks" or "Beatmania"? Guess Guitar Hero/Rock Band weren't really the first of their kind.

No they weren't the first. They just took an idea that failed once and basically mastered it and made a commercial success.
Oh and to Rock Bands credit I believe they were the first to combine all 3 acts (guitar, drum, singing) into one game. May be wrong but even if I am the first statement still stands.
