Anyone else had a giggle at Link's He-man/Liono stance while charging the Skyward Strike?

"I HAVE THE POWER"
Did not think of that until now. I had a bit of a chuckle at it. Tis awesome.

As is Skyward Sword, as is the Gold Wii-Mote, as is the Legend of Zelda Symphony CD.

I've played about 10 hours of it, I think it's going to be a very different zelda game to what we're used to.

Found a Skyrim mod which allows me to slaughter children.

Only one about 4 hours myself. Just entering the first Temple
I am midway through the first temple.

As Lee said, it's very different, but extremely familiar at the same time.

It definitely has a vibe of a combination between the light hearted whimsy of Wind Waker and and parts of Twilight Princess, which is strange as they are at the opposite ends of the Legend of Zelda spectrum. However, there is plenty of time for it to get darker

Skyview Temple has been dealt with. Pretty straightforward level although the Beetle is amusing and the boss was annoying until he brought out his sword.
I'm just about to enter the 2nd Temple.

Temple 1 was cool. I enjoyed the fact that there were less rooms, but the rooms were bigger and more involved. And Boss Fight 1 wasn't that bad. You just couldn't telegraph your sword strikes (I love that he would actually tell you not to telegraph the attacks, too).

I actually found some trouble with this. It was tricky enough to not "telegraph" attacks for no matter how I held the sword, he managed to block it. However, I did find a good way to get passed his defences...

Z-targetting and the sideways jump could allow me to change the angle of attack much quicker that cut-and-slash
Although I am sure that there was a quicker way than that.

Going to do a couple of side quests before heading to Eldin such as monster-hunting in Skyloft at night.

I didn't have much problem holding the sword to the left then slashing right to left. That worked for me.

Definitely do this. Then do the next one that's available. The 2nd one got me a very helpful thing. And if you found those Goddess Cubes, go to the treasure chests, I got something that allowed me to carry another item in my pouch where the Shield/bottles are.

Think I already have this. I am already carrying two bottles and two shields.
No, I can carry 5 things now. I have 1 shield, a seed satchel (30 seeds instead of 20), and 3 bottles). I'd check the wood shield. You're going to a volcano, and wood + fire = burning.

I also got 4 heart pieces, so I have 8 hearts.

I've only just finished temple 1. I've not had much time at all to play it.

Completed the strangely named Earth Temple last night.Pretty length sequence just to get into the Temple too. Loved the Indiana Jones scene just before the boss battle

If Skyward Sword has proven anything about me so far, it is that a swordsman I am not. The amount of times I have basically ended up mindlessly hacking and slashing whilst fighting the Lizalfos is rather embarrassing

I'm not ashamed to say that I did use a walkthrough to get the pieces of the key. But I do love how just getting to each dungeon is a puzzle in itself. Makes the overworld so much more fun.

God Lizalfos are a bitch and a half. That is, until I found out a secret for beating them.

Do a spin attack to knock them down, then a fatal blow and they're dead. It usually takes 2 or 3 spin attacks to be able to hit them, but it's the easiest way to defeat them.

Sorry Lee.

I will remember spoiler tags for future story-related stuff. The Lizalfos strategy didn't seem very spoiler-needy, as it's just enemy strategy.
