Been playing campaign mode on Game of Thrones: Genesis for a week. It is how I feared it would be - overly repetitive and nowhere near as good an any of the Total War series. Indeed, the "campaign mode" is really nothing like what you would expect from a faction-based strategy game. It is more like an interactive storyline - there are set parameters that can be tricky enough but there is no scope to go beyond them.
Really, it is just telling the stories of the great houses of Westeros in the 1,000 years up to the re-emergence of the Others, the death of Jon Arryn and appointment of Eddard Stark as Hand of the King. Interesting for a reader of Song of Ice and Fire but not particularly exciting for a gamer.
If they could fuse the story and some of the diplomatic elements with the TW engine then we would have a far better game.

How many games are downloaded on each of the 60 million Ipod touches though? I don't have one but I do have a Ds. I have I believe 11 games for my Ds. My friend grant has like 2 solid pages of just games for his touch. It might not be the most popular game player. But it might have the most games for it. I still wouldn't play anything on it over a Ds though.

I'm glad I bought a 3DS. Games will have to wait for my next few paychecks, but I did manage to snag Four Swords since it's free. Fine with me anyway since I'm still working through Ghost Trick. The new big screen is so nice, and augmented Reality is absolutely mindblowing and the TRUE future of gaming.

And Four Swords is amazing. Haven't played it ever until now, and even the single player is pretty cool. And the added retro levels are fucking amazing.
