I can't believe anyone actually bought FFXIV. The writing on the wall was there for weeks, months before the launch even, that it was just going to be awful.

I hear that they're planning on some massive patching and reworking to make it worth anyone's time, but I feel like they've already shot themselves in the foot here. Much like Star Wars Galaxies, which was so terrible when it came out, but then turned into kind of a decent MMO, but by then nobody wanted to play it.

IIRC There was one in Sydney (may have been in the Opera House, not sure) not too long ago that looked amazing. I'd love to go to one someday.

There we go. I'm getting on the PC, myself - I couldn't live without modding it. But I agree, man, 11/11/11 is going to be off the hook. I'm trying to talk my insane self out of skipping all my classes to play it, and have so far been unsuccessful.

I'm gonna be getting my PS3 (W/ Dead Island) off of Layaway around that time and it would be cool to have 2 games for it when it's new instead of 1.

Yeah, you might as well. I don't think we'll see any differences among the console versions like we did with Oblivion.

If this is your first PS3 and not just a replacement, look into the Uncharted games when you've got the cash. Probably the best original series for the PS3.
