For the love of God, vote Brock Lesnar!

I should probably plant the seeds right now: one of my goals in next year's tournament is to have one of the sub-regionals take place in the Land of the Rising Sun.

I'm going with Rock over Hart probably

Jericho or RVD is a toss up

Undertaker destroys Benoit

Austin destroys Edge

That's the way I see it from here.

Sooo.. when is Sam getting an infraction for starting another Wrestling thread in the Bar Room?

Or was the newly stickied KB thread just for shits and giggles? :lmao:

I hope you're being sarcastic here, with the part about HHH being more than an average to above average wrestler who had three great years.

Of course I was.

Sorry Jmt, but I'm not buyin what you're selling. I've seen a bunch of Sting's matches in TNA, and I've yet to see one that was better then average to possibly above average at best. But the large majority of his matches in TNA, and for that matter in the last 3 or 4 years of WCW, have been trash followed by trash followed by toppings of more trash. Does he even wrestle non-gimmick matches anymore?

Don't get me wrong, he was a great wrestler for a good six or so year period there, but I still wouldn't put him in the same league as the Undertaker. The Undertaker has been in more quality matches this year then Sting has in the last decade.

The thing about The Undertaker... that motherfucker didn't start having good matches until he became a mark of MMA. So, let's say that happened in 2005... that's about 15 years of pure shit before that. He had some good matches against Hart and HBK in the nineties, but he was carried in them. You watch his shit against Hogan, Austin and Rock.. all purely crap.

So, even while I disagree, I can respect the fact of you not digging Sting's work since late WCW, but that still doesn't take away from the fact that 'Taker himself gave us years and years of unwatchable garbage. And that today, when he's actually very good, he hardly ever wrestles to begin with, and the only time he goes all out, is at a Wrestlemania or Summerslam.

I'm with in all of them except with Rock going over Hart. Hart will be getting my support.

Jericho will also be getting my support.

I'm not sure who gets my support in Hart vs. the Rock, but I think the Rock can take it though.

RVD is a darling in these tournaments, so his match with Jericho is a must watch.

Again, I can't see the bottom two matches being close at all. Anything but the Undertaker and Austin winning by double digits will be a shock to me. Not that I neccessarily agree with it, but it's looking to be Austin vs. Taker in the final four.

Sting barely wrestles too. And when Sting does wrestle a lot of the times it's tag team matches.'Taker has wrestled way more than Sting this year and most of his matches haven't been tag team matches.

I like Sting but not as much as I like The Undertaker.

Just out of curiousity, how is Austin's match against Edge such a sure-fire guarantee? Wasn't Lesnar a sure-fire guarantee by most people?

Honestly though, let's look at the facts (basic facts) to begin with.. if this is a gimmick match, Edge has a far greater chance against Austin, than he did against Lesnar - because you have to take the stupid "I'm stronger" logic out of the picture. Austin isn't stronger than Edge.

On top of that, if it's a regular match, how does an Edge in his prime (who's defeated John Cena, and Kurt Angle in their primes) not defeat someone, who in his prime, at his best - was just as injury prone, if not more so, with a horrible neck - who has also lost to guys far less talented and aggressive than Edge?

I still think Bret Hart should win his match with the Rock but I wouldn't be surprised if the Rock won it.

As far as RVD is concerned he shouldn't have gotten this far in the tournament. And he most definetly should not have beaten Triple H and Randy Savage in my opinion.

Sting barely wrestles too. And when Sting does wrestle a lot of the times it's tag team matches.'Taker has wrestled way more than Sting this year and most of his matches haven't been tag team matches.

Sting is 50, let's see what 'Taker is doing when he's that old.

And as far as the remaining matches go, 'Taker is winning the whole thing. After reading the 'Taker arguments in the Sting match, that same exact bullshit will be used throughout the rest of the tournament and people will fall for it. There's no way he loses against any of the remaining wrestlers, not even Austin.

Speaking of Austin, it sucks that Brock lost, but I'd much rather him lose to Edge than Austin. Hopefully Edge can beat out Austin in the next round.

Taker had plenty of quality matches before that. Be it his matches against Foley, his Summerslam 98 match with Austin, his matches with HBK and Bret Hart in 97. Taker had a bunch of good matches before 2005, if anything he's regressed in recent years, not the other way around.

He had some good matches against Hart and HBK in the nineties, but he was carried in them. You watch his shit against Hogan, Austin and Rock.. all purely crap.

A) The Hogan matches were pretty crap.

B) Taker more then held his own against HBK and Hart, that's ridiculious to claim he didn't.

C) I thought his match with Austin at Summerslam 98 was great. Not a classic, but a great match.

D) The only match between Taker and the Rock that I can remember being somewhat entertaining was there KOTR 99 match, but that wasn't exactly a "great" match either.

So, even while I disagree, I can respect the fact of you not digging Sting's work since late WCW, but that still doesn't take away from the fact that 'Taker himself gave us years and years of unwatchable garbage. The respect is mutual, but I still think Taker > Sting all day and night. To be honest I didn't really enjoy anything Sting did after the NWO storyline. Maybe it was the trash that was Starrcade 97 that ruined him for me, because before that I actually was a bit of a mark for the guy.

But c'mon man...his TNA stuff has been just awful. It actually pains me to watch some of it.

Trust me when I say, EVERY VOTE COUNTS! I'll be looking forward to seeing your Edge support in the next round.

Let's stop this Austin-ass kissing right here, right now.

lol, Sorry Will, but you have to realize that Austin is just going to mop the floor with Edge. His popularity is just too large here, and he doesn't have nearly the smark-backlash that a guy like Hogan does.

I say Austin because he's been steam rolling everyone, and he really hasn't had anyone support him yet. With it down to 8, he's goign to get some big support more then likely.

If a group of rag tag posters like myself, sam, Lariat and justin can get a two year Green Monster within 10 seconds of beating Edge, then I don't like Edge's chances of winning. I probably enjoy Edge more, but right away you need to realize your going into a match where you probably are going to have close to 30, if not 40 people that will vote for Austin as soon as the polls open.

However, i was going down with the Lesnar ship until the bitter end if he faced Austin. I'm not saying it's impossible, but it's going to be very hard.

:lmao: I didn't roll over and die when Two of the Three admins backed Lesnar. (not to mention 90% of the rest of the Staff) I'm not gonna back down now. lol

Edge is as close as he's ever been to reaching the top glory of being in the Elite 8. It's my goal to get him all the way. I think everyone would agree you can't find a bigger supporter of him, to prove he can do it, than Myself.

I'll find each and every bit of Austin's weaknesses, and prove Edge could destroy him.

I just need to know if it's under any specialty rules, or gimmicks. It's still in E.C.W, so I'd assume it'd still be contested under the Hardcore elements of E.C.W. But I don't know if any extra gimmick has been attached.
