Foley As The New Raw G.M?

- Mick Foley is pushing for a role as the General Manager of Raw. His book did him no favors as much of the writing team is negative towards him right now.

Why not on Smackdown? Long has had his time as G.M. And Foley's certainly a better choice than Vickie Guerrero. Raw doesnt need him. Wheras Smackdown would benefit from his presence. Why not have two G.M's a face (Foley) and a heel (Regal) that would be comedy gold.

In my opinion Raw is doing fine without a GM.

i just tought why not ECW foley woud be a a good gm for ECW

ECW! ECW! ECW! ECW!

Mick Foley deserves to be gm of any of the shows. He is a legend, a future hof'er and very intelligent and articulate as everyone knows. He also has the charisma and toughness to put all those loser sin check and run it the way it shud be run... He shud be gm, and do some commentary on the sode. Tell me how kiss a$$ coach or peanut head long are gm's when you have so many others who are infinitely more qualified?

Here's another thing. When all you marks were booing mick awhile back thinking he had turned heel when he joined his protege at the time edge... That was really funny. The man was never a heel, and yet the crowds were booing him. Then you started cheering him again after Melina turned on Mick. Honestly Mick did that whole storyline just to put Melina over and foreshadow her star studded future in this business. And I think it worked... The man always tells it like it is whether you want to hear it or not and it is the gospel truth.

I believe a way to get ratings up on ECW and start to fix the brand would be to put foley as GM of ECW to return the brand back to its hard core ways.

next week's "Make A Wish" foundation thing will be Mick Foley wishing to be Raw's GM?

You'll see, something like that will happen.

I like this idea because i'm getting sick of seeing Vince and Coach every week. I now they're heels so i'm supposed to hate them but i don't care. I think overall a having a new gm opens up many new and interesting storylines.

i think foley running the shots and calling the matches on raw will do wonders for the wwe. i think that the feud vince and foley are going to have is going to have a special stipulation to it. if vince loses he leaves raw alone and doesnt control it, if foley wins he becomes the new gm of raw. that would be a great way to get foley back because it sucks having coach and vince everyweek, epecially coach cause all he saids is, "hbk, cena u forgot ur the tag team champs so ur going to defend them tonight" lol. so i say bring foley in as gm!!

Foley as GM would be great...for the short term..but am I the only one who gets tired of the "Cheap Pops" after a while. Seriously, although a face as GM would be good for a while, too bad they couldn't put HHH as gM until his leg is fully healed, or better yet, put The Slickster in as GM...he could easily go face or heel, and back in the day, he gave some of the most entertaining interviews on TV. And think of the meetings between him and Teddy Long..and that's Tabernacle.

i personally wouldnt want to see foley as gm. sure he articulate sures hes entertaining and still gets a nice pop but i dont know if he can stay fresh as a full time personality. IMO i think people would get tired of him after a while

So you aren't tired of peanut head long? Or how about kiss a$$ coach? Neither one of them is any more interesting than paint drying honestly. I don't hate coach, I hate mcmahonnican for being who he is. He is ruining the wwe with his storylines, pathetic champions, and all his sugary sweet kiss a$$ babyfaces.

No Foley, unless he is going to be a heel. I think all authority figure should be heel. Teddy Long was alright the first month or so but he got old, and I think it would be better off for him to be removed.

Personally I don't think RAW needs a GM. It has been fine without one. As long as McMahon is on the show they don't need an authority figure. But out with Coach, I can't stand him.

I never said i wasn't tired of Coach or Teddy Long. Long needs to be replaced...NOT by Vickie Guerrero, but by someone, but yeah, Coach is irritating, but fans still tune in every week to see him get his comeuppance, whether it be by DX, Cena (gag), or whoever. Foley could only go so far, because if he screws a heel, who cares if the heel can get him back next week? I say, if anything, I agree with making Foley the ECW figurehead, and have the whole rebel against WWE story replay itself, JBL in charge of SmackDown, and hell, just for shits and giggles, make Eugene the head of Raw, he could be a face GM one week, flip out and turn heel the next.

Eugene looks better now actually. He needed a haircut. Mcmhanonnican looks plain stupid. And his look matches his wrestling sense right now. I think the man is growing senile, he has lost all sense of what us fans want in this company...

But I could see it now. John Cena waltzing into mick foley's gm room and saying "Please oh please, pretty please Oh Great GM Mick, could you pweeze let me wrestle the next big heel that everyone wants me to beat up (not really, but the moronic fans and immatures ones want me to)??" And then Mick punches him in his fin mouth and tells him no, poser, no talent loser scrub, that match is DENIED!!!

In all honesty how is Foley any better than Cena? I know I might catch a lot of heat for this but I tend to agree with Ric Flairs evaluation of Foley as being a glorified stunt man. Thats how I view most of the ECW originals, especially Sabu. RVD is an acception. But Foley is not the greatest wrestler, he is alright but not the greatest and certainly not leaps and bounds ahead of Cena. On the microphone they are equal, Foley just got over with most people and Cena got over with everyone but the viewers who have a computer.

Never make Eugene GM. He should not even be allowed on TV. I absolutely despise that character. And McMahon's lack of hair only represents his genius. He has no hair but he walked away from wrestlemania with $5million dollars to split between himself and Trump, plus enough money to give all the other performers there bonuses. He hasn't lost any sense if he still has droves of us online talking about his company, and millions of people watching and buying his stuff.

You made too many ridiculous "points" for me to even try and respond to this hornswagle...

Foley is light years ahead of John Cena on the mic. Foley is probably one of the smartest guys on the mic, and he is articulate enough not to stumble over himself. Cena has a tendency to ramble on and forget where he is going in an interview. Cena waits too long, too many dramatic pauses in his promos trying to get a reaction from the crowd.

Foley is not a glorified stuntman. Sure he puts his body on the line, but he can throw some moves down there. Watch any of his matches besides Hell in the Cell.

Perfect example. Watch Mankind vs. Shawn Michaels from Mind Games, and then watch this years Wrestlemania Main Event. The Mind Games match is ten times the match then what John Cena put up this year.

As far as GM, i like the idea, but, and theres a but, i think its unneccessary. What does Foley ahve to prove to anyone? Sure there are people that want to see him back, but its how i feel with Austin too with his special refereeing, don't bother. Go away and enjoy retirement. Those guys coming back make us remember how good the product was, and it brings out the mega criticism for what the product is.

Coach is a bore on Raw, but I like watching him get his ass kicked. Foley would do great on ECW, but realistically, Heyman, and Only Heyman gets that spot. Theodore Long, eh, not bad, but stale.

People seem to think that the GM is anything other than a figurehead role, The GM is not always a member of the booking team, This is where i see problems occuring in regards to people that think that the GM, whether Eric Bischoff or Teddy Long, or potentially Mick Foley, The GM usually has no direct influence on events that occur. I would like to see Mick Foley be the GM because I could see him in that role, And you get the feeling that the Pops would be huge whenever he is on screen, but people would get sick of him. He maybe a glorified Stuntman, but that doesn't mean he can't wrestle, He has also elicitd the greatest call in all of Professional Wrestling and even in sports, "As God as My witness, he is broken in half"

it would be good if cena did go into foleys office n he told cena 2 get lost cenas crap he should be on ecw with all the other non talented wrestlers no offence to the originals lashly or punk

Mick Foley has plenty of relevance and freshness to add to either of the brands as a gm and or commentator. Make him a referee and a manager as well. I can't get enough of mick. He epitomizes the wrestling business and it's legacy. He has worked his a$$ off for years to attain his status and popularity in the industry as well as in field of book writing... F$$$ Ric Flair and his moronic opinions. Flair didn't have the nutz to compete in the kind of violent and extremem matches Mick competed in over the years... Yet flair became more famous and well known for what? Stealing gimmicks and signature moves from buddy rogers and other wrestling greats? Everything about flair is a rip of someone else in the wrestling business or music industry. Even that "wooooo" he does... Honestly I never understood why so many ppl thought of him as being as great of a wrestler as he was/is... To me he is mediocre at best. Maybe I missed him the 70's, but from the 80's to now he usually bored me.

I kind of agree with you about Flair. It's strange that he say's Foley is nothing more than a stuntman. And yet because all of his wrestling ability has now dissapeared he now does Foley type spot's to get over. Would Flair have rolled around in thumb tac's in the 70's & 80's? No but he would do it now against the worthless Big Show.

No doubt flair was forced into doing those few matches he did that were "extreme" related... He looks down on those type of matches and mick foley so obviously he would never do it unless forced to. Just like the ladder match he was in that like mick said he basically collected a paycheck for not getting killed, but looked god awful in it...

How did this go from a Foley as GM Thread to Foley vs Flair? Seriously tho, if the rumors are tru and Flair plans on Retiring within the next 2 years..Foley as GM would be horrible. A. Mick Foley has proven that, at this stage of his career, he is much better and more believable as a face, and B. Flair wants to probably go out on a good note with the fans, so having any scenario with the two of them opposing eachother would be very bad...and having the two of them being all buddy buddy would be rediculously unbelievable.
