Yes, The WWE should re-sign this man. The man doesn't need to wrestle at all, and for that matter, he doesn't even have to work every week. But this man should be the manager of Ted DiBiase Jr.
Before people state that The WWE has phased out managers, consider this; The WWE has brought back a Hall of Famer before, in the hopes of also providing a mentor for the man he was managing. The WWE, somewhat randomly, admittedly, brought back Tony Atlas to mentor Mark Henry. And you know what? I think it actually worked. Mark's promos have certainly gotten better, and while his matches are still centered around brute force, he's learned how to get the crowd involved on the match. Now, Mark looks like he's going to go on a terrorizing run through Raw, and perhaps even make the push at the WWE Title. Read: He probably won't win it, but he'll get his shots. And doesn't that leave him far better off than when he began?
The point is this: The WWE paired one of its wrestlers with a Hall of Famer. Tony didn't exactly get Mark over, per se, but that's because he isn't that recent of a name to have gotten a crowd reaction. The last time I checked, the last time fans saw Tony Atlas in the WWE, it was as Saba Simba. That's sure to bring back fond memories for the fans.
This is a bit different, as people actually know The Million Dollar Man, and he could be used to get Ted Jr. over. DiBiase Sr. does wonders on the microphone, where as we've seen already, The younger form is much more cautious on the mic, and has yet to find an area of comfort. Ted doesn't have to be around his son all of the time on the road, as I can see the conflict of interests here, and he doesn't even need to appear every week. All he has to do is be his manager. Speak a couple if times for Ted on the mic, and "make matches" for Ted.
And even more to the case, they can play off a gimmick where Ted Sr. Bribes the GM of that week's Raw to either place Ted in high profile matches, or to rig the matches in his favor. That right there is instant heat, and immediately could piss off the fans. Haven't you ever seen the case on a Football Team, in which a booster club's son got to play over someone more deserving? That can instantly draw people to hate the junior DiBiase. Plus, once Ted gets tired of his dad paying off his matches, it starts off his face turn, in which he strives to go alone in his matches. This could leave Ted to manage someone like Cody or Randy, just to get back at his son. The reason I say Cody first is because it could also do the job of getting the younger Rhodes a bit of a push.
But anyway, I've rambled enough. Fact or Fiction: Ted DiBiase Sr. should become a WWE Employee, with very much the same schedule as Shawn Michaels or Vickie Guerrero?
