Ezekiel Jackson

RatedRKO2011

Occasional Pre-Show
I have a feeling that he Jackson is going to get the big push this year, but is it to soon ? Will he end up like all the other big muscle wrestlers over the years ? Like Brock, lashley and batista and all end up leaving for what ever reason ? Please leave comments

He certainly has the size and look that Vince likes, so I fully expect to see Zeke win the IC title soon and be in World Title contention by the end of the year. With Batista leaving, Mason Ryan still extremely green and Big Show ageing, there is a spot for a monster in the upper-card, and I think we will see Jackson getting the push this year.

I wouldnt be entirely against it, he is pretty solid in the ring if not spectacular and with more experience he could become a pretty big star for the WWE. Thety certainly need to bring through the next generation of main eventers and Jackson is one of the guys I think could do a good job. I hope they do not rush him too fast though, let him build up some credibility and big match experience as the IC champion before throwing into the World title scene

For sure he need experience. I got the same problems with him and mason ryan theyre both huge but they dont throw the weight around right so they look very awkward in the ring. Batista didnt have this and brock was the total package he was huge and he moved like he was a lightweight. IMO big zeke has a chance but he needs a few years you know? to get familiar... But his match with wade barret was pretty good

He's going to win the IC title but he's going nowhere near the World title. Zeke I think is probably the worst in ring performer in the entire company. He was painful to watch on Sunday. All the guy can do is strikes and scoop slams.

If Chris Masters is only on Superstars when he's in better shape than Zeke, and is a better in ring performer than Zeke, I think Zeke will be released some time in the next couple of years. He's Snitsky/ Boogeyman bad in the ring.

I hope this guy rises up the SmackDown roster. I wouldn't mind seeing him win the Intercontinental title this Friday, but I'm sure they'll save that for PPV.

Yeah they gonna push him Vince like big guys but I doubt his push will come so quick writer made that mistake with Lesner and he quit like he had nothing yo lose

I don't think Zeke will get that big of a push. He will likely be a midcard monster his whole career. If he defeats Barrett for the IC title then that's less about him getting a title and more about pushing Barrett further up the card. Zeke might get pushed but he would likely just get built up in the midcard then fed to a top face like Orton, then future endeavoured, because all those "big guys" are so easily replaced and most don't last after their pushes.

Dude has some of the worst mic skills on the roster. The thing about "Big Zeke" is that the fans don't seem to care about him one way or the other. Hell, he barely got any pop when he turned on Barrett and Co.

I don't see him getting any more "over" than he is.

The only way he sniffs more than the IC title this year is if he can escape this program with the Borre...er...Corre. Nobody cares about them, hence nobody cares what they do to Zeke or what he in turn does to them.

I can't imagine who he can work with on Smackdown to try to elevate him beyond where he's at right now. Sheamus maybe, but he's probably going to move up into a program with Orton once Christian is officially put to bed and won't have time for Zeke. Smackdown is spread real thin right now, and there's nobody on the roster who can actually accomplish the task of pushing a face Jackson into the main event.

^What about Cody Rhodes? Zeke could be the one that finally shuts him up. He could stick up for the fans and they'd love seeing him beat up Cody Rhodes.

That could work as a program, but Cody Rhodes can't elevate Zeke anywhere. Zeke might be able to push Rhodes further into the main event if Cody comes out on top because he's so much smaller but was able to pull it out. But that still leave Jackson in wallowing in the midcard.

Hey, I hope he can pull it off and make something happen for himself. I just can't see how it's possible at this moment.

Good point, man. I guess I wasn't thinking long-term when I threw that idea out there.

Like someone else in this thread already said, SmackDown is spread thin right now. At the very least, they should send over some of the midcarders from RAW (Drew McIntyre and Dolph Ziggler, perhaps). Zeke and McIntyre could have a nice feud over the IC title, at least.

I'm not quite sure what to make of Zeke. He's pretty damn good in the ring for a big guy and he's okay on the mic. Nothing spectacular but someone who I can easily see dominating the midcard. I'm almost sure he will be the one to take down the Corre and afterwards he'll have a nice long IC title reign to build himself up for a potential trial main event run which would consist of him sporadically competing for the world title. I think he has potential to be a star one day. I'm interested to see where he goes after his storyline with the Corre ends.

I think he'll get a push probably at the end of the year and have a fairly big match at SummerSlam. I hope Zeke has a good career and hope he doesn't end up like the previous muscle but I've gotta feeling he'll end up similar to them.

They've been trying to push Jackson since he was in ECW. On the final ECW he beat Christian for the ECW Title, which in retrospective doesn't actually mean anything since they never bother to mention ECW whatsoever on WWE programing any longer, but that was suppose to be his big break out moment. That momentum was suppose to fuel his run onto Raw or Smackdown. I don't remember where he went first, because he got injured at a house show immediately following it and was on the shelf for a while.

He's surprisingly good on the mic, but hes still horrible in the ring. I'm sure he'll get some sort of push in the next few months, but I doubt he'll ever be able to really capture the fans attention, or gain the main spotlight due to his limitations in ring.

Zeke I think will be a big star if he doesnt get into trouble and doesn't get injured. He is ok on the mic and can improve, I actually love his ring work, I would expect a lot less from someone his size.HE shows a lot personality while in a match which gets you into his matches.I like him and really hope that he succeeds.

I've said this before and I will say it again. WWE has something in a certain big guy and they could give him the ball and run with it and I think would make an excellent main eventer. Am I talking about Ezekiel Jackson? Nope. Skip Sheffield? What does Vince see in this guy?

I have said it before and I will say it again, when he comes back from injury, PUSH BRODUS CLAY!!! Brodus Clay has it all.

#1 He has shown on NXT that he can cut a promo

#2 He absolutely has the look

#3 His ring skills are not that bad

#4 He would be believable

#5 I could honestly see this guy feuding with Cena and Orton in the future. Sheffield, Zeke and Ryan don't do it for me but I see something special in Brodus Clay.

Just seems like Mark Henry with a lower calorie intake to me. I could actually see an angle involving him and Orton but there's a lot of work that needs to be done with his character. As for right now, tell Vince that Ahmed Johnson wants his trunks back.

This guy doesn't remind me of Mark Henry at all. He does remind me of Ahmed Johnson some though, but of the "good" Ahmed of 1995-96.

What's wrong with Zeke's character? I like it better than most of the roster at the moment.

Meh. Yes, that is my reaction towards Jackson. I don't understand what the big hurry with splitting Corre was because it is certinly not working for Jackson. The crowd does not seem to care the least for Jackson's offense, except for his bodyslam, and his pops are mild to be generous to him. He certainly is someone whom the WWE wants to push. He was lined up for a big push after ECW got finished but his father died and he was off the programming for a while.

His moveset is also limited and he does not seem to have a great grasp of ring psychology either. It was not that apparent in his matches versus Christian but they stick out like a sore thumb in his matches against Barrett.

All that could change with a good feud though. Maybe we will hav to wait and see.
