Why? Why does it matter?

Morals are largely an emotional thing, you can't always help the way you feel about something. The brain and the mind perceive things a certain way. And is it really that hard to see why someone wouldn't want to be with someone who's fucked enough people to fill a building? It shouldn't be difficult to see why someone might have qualms about sexually interacting with someone who's already been touched by an endless number of people before you.

Yes, it is. I have been yet to be presented with a reason why it affects anyone or anything at all. What if you are blissfully with this person, then find out they have been with a lot of people?

Does it change who they are? The things you liked about them? The time you spend together?

Of course not. Its a totally made up, superficial criteria. Its nonsense.


It also doesn't explain why its ok for a man, but some huge issue if its a woman.

Its all based in the biological past.

Men have multiple partners to propagate the species, while women are supposedly restricted to a single one so the men are not stuck looking after the fruit of another's loins.

Add in the later legal need for legitimacy in the inheritance and the "weaker sex" point of view and there you have it.
