I can't say I was really offended by the character. I didn't love the character and I didn't find myself rooting for him every match. He was really good to watch in the ring but other than that, I didn't really think much of him. The gimmick had a short shelf life from the get go. There's only so much you can do with something like that and in the end, it ruined the man's career. That's the only real harm I can think of that came from it.
