Election Night LD

I wouldn't be surprised to see Michigan turn around for Clinton. But Wisconsin is increasingly looking like a victory for Trump and if Wisconsin goes Trump, then this election is all but over.

I think they already called Wisconsin for Trump

Trump should've been disqualified the second he made the comment about building a great wall on the border to Mexico and making them pay for it. Amoung other racist-type remarks there should be something in the rules that immediately DQ's a candidate for intentional future damage to the presidency by way of heel-like tactics and unprofessional conduct.

So not being from America I'm assuming that there was a lot of silent Trump supporters around. I haven't heard or read anything that he has said that could have changed the vote around like this. I thought the FBI thing would hinder Clinton but she was let off a few days ago yeah?

If Trump just said something about the corrupt government thing to begin with, which he kinda did I guess but his other comments were just way too hectic for it to be recognized, then he surely would've won from the start hey? From someone who is only getting the big stories but to me it seems Trump offers the ultimate risk of either being awesome for America or just fucking you guys up completely and Clinton offers the safe route of what is happening now right? I dunno but I hated trump more than any person on this Earth not even a week ago so it's not like I'm rooting for the guy but fuck it, why not hahahaha.

By that logic, both Trump and Hillary should be disqualified for tax avoidance and perjury respectively.

I voted solely to protect the 1st, 2nd, and 11th amendments. I didn't vote for either, but I feel Trump will ultimately do this better than Hillary.

Has there been a moment in this election where you felt those 3 amendments were ever in real jeopardy compared to the last 8 years or so of hearing how those things will be taken away but never were?

I respect your beliefs. I'm still "Why her?" about this. But I would like to know more about the reasons why people are voting for this guy, who has made an ass of himself quite a bit.

Ya, that too. Some ruling where a power middle party can come in and announce an official disqualification for presidency. If Trump really fucks up bad in The White House and sets the U.S Economy back ten years then I bet something like a power mediator really does happen for the next election.

I was gonna post another suicide gif, but why bother? I'm just sad.

I know my country isn't perfect, but damn it I love it and we are supposed to be better than this. We are supposed to be a beacon for the rest of the world, and this is the best we can do? I'm sorry.

For Pete's sake, you live in an area that continuously gets destroyed by tornadoes. That's just bad planning.

I was hoping this media circus would end after the election. A Trump victory would mean at least 4 more years of this crap.

I think just looking at how the electoral map has gone, the stories the media covered and raised up as major issues with Trump fell on completely deaf ears. Why you ask? Because he spoke to the working/middle class and made all the right promises to help those people in their lives. People are far more worried about their paycheck and their mortgage then they are about racism and sexism. It's disgusting but it's true. If I have to choose between having an easier time paying for my house or not having a racist leader, a lot of people are gonna swallow their pride if it means making things easier on their family.

Add in Clinton was an extremely weak candidate at this juncture in time, it was the perfect storm for something like this to happen. It looks like everything has flipped, at one point the Republicans were looked at like the rich upper class overlords, thus how the Democrats took power. Now people are looking at Democrats that way, while the Trump campaign hit the ground running and aimed at the issues that the working person cares about the most. Meanwhile you have Hilary spouting on about taking care of the climate. In a state like mine where there is a ton of coal plants and is a primary money maker here, it's equivalent to her saying she's going to kill your jobs. That's just one example but that type of attitude spreads throughout.

A lot of the problems in Washington DC started with the Republicans, but the anger over those problems crested when the Democrats were in power, and it's extended to this election. Hillary basically walked in and became the embodiment for a lot of people for the perceived corruption and the feeling of the working class being cast aside.

This election was far more about economic issues to people than it was to social issues. They want food, shelter, and stability. Trump sat down and looked them in the face and told them he can do that. Hillary only promised a continuation of where we are presently. And I think that has a huge part in what's gone down tonight.

For all his faux pas's he seems to have been given a pass by a lot of voters. Some of my US friends refused to vote for Clinton. They don't trust her and think she acted like she was entitled to the job.

Most disappointing was that she didn't stay on message but focused more of her campaign on trying to take Trump down. It made her look bitter and just a little desperate. The e-mail situation and FBI probe didn't help either.

Trump is seen by them as someone who will do something for them, bring back jobs, change trade agreements. Hillary had none of that and they just saw it as 4 more years of the last 8, and they were tired of it.

When I see students at Yale signing a petition to repeal the first amendment that scares me. And Hillary appeals to the progressive left. Trump isn't the ideal conservative or libertarian, which is why I didn't support him either. I also support small government and free market. Working in the construction industry I don't want to potentially see smaller companies go out of business because of an increase in taxes.

Silver lining... silver lining... silver lining...

This doubling down on an anti minority position is going to cost Republicans somewhere down the line. Also: I got my money out of US dollars before the shit and fan started closing in on one another... so that's good.

None of this was about the amendments, which I asked Ech.

This is how I have perceived the Clinton campaign as well. I figure that If you were a fan of Obama and his presidency then that's a reason to vote for Hillary because I see them as being very similar.
