Election Night LD

Well I'm seeing something about getting Gary Johnson 5% of the vote. I wonder what would have happened if Johnson hadn't been the fun pick on Facebook and those votes had gone to one of the candidates who actually had a chance.`

Voting for Johnson isn't a waste, voting for a dead gorilla is a waste. Over 11,000 people did that from what I've read.

Something about USA just a day ago.

Trump lost more votes to Johnson than Clinton did.

A moot point now, as if it ever wasn't, but Johnson's policy proposals were the maddest, most half-baked heap of shit I've ever seen. I'd have genuinely sooner have Trump, who I absolutely revile.

More of the poor working class voted for Hillary than for Trump.

The media and pollsters really have to get their act together. In fact, virtually no one got it right. You can tell from Trump's acceptance speech that he still thought the lowest classes put him in office, but it appears to be just not true.

It was more a middle class white revolt - those who cannot stand having just more of the power rather than all of it.

Someone on CNN just said what everyone is thinking. The Democratic Party picked the only person that Donald Trump could have beaten, any other Democrat would have won.

Oh and her treatment of Bernie Sanders in the primaries is being brought up a lot and some of the talking heads are saying that's when she started to go downhill.

CNN is still shitting themselves and trying to look like they were in Trump's corner the whole time. Two faced to say the least.

I'm unsure how Bernie Sanders was supposed to win over a segment of the population who think socialism is literally theft. I can see making the case for, say, Joe Biden, but Bernie a surer bet than Hilary? I suppose Trump would have had a harder time painting him as the crooked political elite.

How dare you! Harambe was more then just gorilla. #dicksoutforharambe

Glad that bafoon won. If for nothing just because of horde of celebrities like Lady Gaga, Miley and Chelsea Handler butthurting over social media. If they honor the promise and leave he is halfway to making America great again. Get it Coral.

Let's not be so quick to blame the white middle class here. More Black, Latino, and Asian American citizens voted Republican in this election than they did four years ago, by a pretty hefty margin too.

I'd be interested to hear from that point of view.

The only ethnicity with whom Trump held a majority was white people. However, I do appreciate you getting in the spirit of things by blaming ethnic minorities for things they did not cause.

Woahhh calm down. I'm not blaming anybody. I'm just interested in the fact that the minority vote shifted towards the Republicans. Something that A LOT of people don't seem to realize. Why did that happen?

Like I said, I'd love to hear from the perspective of a Latino who voted Trump. Has absolutely nothing to do with blaming anybody. I don't blame anybody. Donald Trump won in a democratic election. While I may not necessarily agree with the decision the majority (kind of...) made, I respect the democratic process.
