Whole lot of people who cried all of the cries about how Obama was treated....
ARE NOW DOING THE EXACT SAME THING.
Its easy to be the high and mighty moral authority until you don't get your way and the fit throwing begins.
I'd say both sides are guilty of caring far more about team politics than they do about logic, reason or objectivity.
Not to mention, someone could easily ask you how you would feel about Hillary Clinton if it was your child's rapist she negotiated a plea bargain for. Or if it was you who was assaulted by her husband and she did all she could to besmirch you and drive you away from testifying.
The left turned their nose up and ignored this stuff and acted like it didn't matter....when it pretty clearly did matter.
You've made several good arguments in this thread...neither of these are good arguments though.
A lawyer has to defend clients they find distasteful. The accused have the Constitutional right to quality legal representation. And blaming a woman for believing her husband didn't cheat on her isn't nearly as awful as Republicans want people to believe.
Maybe, but then explain to me why people did vote Trump, without the absolute nonsense that 'people are tired of career politicians'.
I would love a child, but I am also so thankful I don't have a daughter, so I don't have to explain to her that despite the fact she is intelligent, and VASTLY more qualified in every way than her opposition, she won't get the job because an old, rich, white man wanted it too.
I understand where you are coming from, but find your argument lacking.
Our current President is Barack Obama. I feel as if that pretty much negates the "*insert demographic here* didn't get to be President because of their demographic".
The fact is Hillary didn't win the Presidency because she couldn't get people to vote for her. Obama received 69.5 million votes in 2008 and 65.9 million in 2012. Hillary is sitting below 60 million right now at 59.9 million. You're talking 6 million votes less for Hillary than for Obama.
And, before you get the wrong idea, it's not like those voters went to Trump. Trump is sitting at 1.2 million votes less than Romney received and only slightly more than McCain received.
The fact is Hillary is as shady as they come. Everyone knows it, including those who vote for her. The Democrats tried to whitewash it as best they could, but the constant drip from Wikileaks killed their ability to do so.
Clinton lost 6 million voters from Obama in 2012...that's why she lost the election (amongst other reasons).
If the GOP is smart.....which yes is the biggest if I've ever seen in my life....
They will play nice and stay towards the middle on a lot of things. Their inability to function is the biggest reason this happened.
Impossible, their voter base will never allow that.
